I would rather have a lazy believer who misses out on so much of God love, but will spend eternity with him, then a dead non believer acting like a believer doing all these christian works, and acting like a believer, who will spend eternity in hell. Because they thought they were saved, but never truely made that step of faith to fully be saved.

John 15 1 - 8 is not about being saved, it is about bearing fruit.
As jesus said, you are already clean by the word (you can not get any cleaner) abide in me, and I in you and you will bear fruit.
it is fruit bearing, not eternal life/adoption as sons salvation receiving, keeping or prevention from losing.

I believe this is the knowledge of God,(from the visible creation the invisible God is visible) not the act of "knowing" your God.

22-32 implies they knew him, but denied him.....those that know the ordinances of God[Vs 32], know him quite well....

See the deep truth is that even the most hardened heart knows God.....but their choice is to deny him and them and the convincing of the Holy Spirit they need him and a savior....
I know a very hard core secular humanist and Atheist...we grew up as best friends...when I get him alone he admits there is a God...but because of hurt, offense and pain, he will not lower his pride to come to God...

Her statement did not come across to me as doing something KEEP our faith. I think what she was saying is, HE WILL KEEP US SECURE In HIM, because hanging on to Salvation is not something that is in our Hands, but rather our Salvation is totally in HIS HANDS.
John 10:27-30 (ESV)

He gives us ETERNAL LIFE, and it is NOT Eternal, if we can loose it. Jesus Christ and the Father are BOTH holding on to our SALVATION.
NOW, that good seed of SAVING FAITH, if it is genuine, will produce a HARVEST of Obedience, motivated by LOVE FOR HIM. NOT to keep our SALVATION, but rather as a way for us to personally SHOW OUR LOVE FOR HIM.
John 14:15 (HCSB)

So where does the ability to LOVE like that come from? I will refer you to what I think is the MOST OVER-LOOKED VERSE IN THE BIBLE:

If we have the ability to LOVE GOD by striving to WALK IN OBEDIENCE, that is NOT something we can pat ourselves on theback for, THAT IS A WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
It is proof that the Holy Spirit is in our Heart, and proof that HE poured GOD'S LOVE directly into our heart.
I know some will say, but I have seen people who were born again Christians loose their Faith and walk away from GOD. NO YOU DIDN'T, what you saw was a pretend born again Christian, loose interest in pretending any longer, and therefore he or she walked away from GOD, and their Salvation was NEVER something they had in the first place.

The only exception to that rule that I know of, is a Prodigal, but the PRODIGAL WILL COME BACK. The Pretend Christians, never come back. They literally prove that they NEVER were born again in the first place. So why do we bother to put up with phonies in our midst, showing them the LOVE, that the Holy Spirit poured into our hearts?

Abraham did the works of faith and it was imputed to him as righteousness..How did he do this? God tells us how in Gen. 26-5
26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. (this is speaking of the moral law of God, later to be scripted by God as the 10 commandments) all of the 10 commandments can be found in the book of Genesis...
Faith isn’t static, but rather is a tandem work done in heart purity.......be blessed

I disagree. Security keeps one from losing heart. We have an enemy and it does take time to grow before we are adequate soldiers on the front line. We have fiery darts coming from the second heaven, from religious brethren, and our own minds.
Security reigns through the grace of God which is the unmerited power of the gift of Holy Spirit who is given only because we ask. There is the obedience. To desire, and to ask, and to put faith in Him.
I wonder if I will ever catch up with this thread.

who are they all? Think about it.
