Not trying to hurt you, Joe, honestly, but you and others have hurt me in this thread and, frankly, I'm sick of it and I'm done with it. I'm done with the church.

You have a conflict spirit in you and what I know from them is they are either atheists or on their way there.
No, I'm not leaving Christ. The church is in crisis right now. There are no true meetings of the saints. The church has been overrun by unbelievers. How do you fellowship with someone who isn't like you and wants to live for and please God and only gives lip service to the grace of God? You can't of course. And I'm not expected to.

Like I say.....I hate talking to unbelievers. You have all the signs that make me 'consider' you an unbeliever (playing the 'judging' card, etc.). Whether or not you actually are is between you and God. But for me I have no choice but to 'consider' you an unbeliever by how you respond to truth.
Sorry to disappoint you I am not an unbeliever because I actually don't doubt God/Jesus and have talked to unbelievers before to understand the difference between true belief and unbelief, you actually stand more to being an atheist or unbeliever than I do,for a few reasons...
1.I can actually admit my sins and be remorseful and be compassionate toward others that have went through such sins
2.I don't go looking for a fight or some shaming venture in random areas of a christian site,I actually "communicate and mingle" instead of being a boastful jerk
3.I don't water down what Jesus has done for me and others who are saved by telling people that they can lose salvation because I actually Believe wholly in and upon Jesus and know he is not trivial
4.I don't maliciously leave any chat site whether Christian or not, with posts of hurt such as telling people that they aren't Christians over trivial things

I want to live for Christ. I want to grow in Christ and learn more and more. I can't do that with people who have been spending their private time watching GoT. How do you grow and get encouraged by people like that? You don't of course. That's why the church is such a disappointment. It has no power because it's no different than the world.

Clearly your church is not overrun by unbelievers because that is where you get your higher spiritual discussions.

Sir with all due respect, your Pastor and the person siting in front of you in church could have done things considered much worse than watching GoT....

I'm not worried about me,it's 4 am,and I should be asleep but here I am trying to do what God obviously wants, and that's for you to "find peace" stop trying to fight a war by yourself, let Jesus in and be humble with him,I don't wish you ill either but where ever God/Jesus leads me,there shall I stand firm and strive to help any wandering souls,I may be young but it's not me that seeks your change,it is God/Jesus,by all accounts I shouldn't be awake talking to you,I should be dead asleep, yet I couldn't sleep, and so God sought use of me.

Your Christian buddies in church are going to disappoint you at some stage and usually this is when they start blaming God.

Psa 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in theson of man, in whom there is no help.
Yep well said

Thank you for the passage. It's why I have made a personal choice to not talk to unbelievers anymore. It's not my gift. That's why I'm frustrated with this forum and have requested my account be closed. Too many people demonstrating to me by their defense of willful sin that they are not genuine believers. Whether they really are or not is not my call. What I'm doing is not considering them to be believers until I see some honest contrition. That doesn't mean I hate them. It means I don't trust them as I would a believer.
Do you apply the same standard to yourself?

When you sin, do you willfully deny it?

Most people do until God points out their sin.

Did David know it was a sin to commit adultery with Babsheeba? Did he willfully sin when he sent her husband to die on the front lines or before that called him home to sleep with her so that the child HE fathered could have been mistaken as his and not David's?

Yet David is called a man after God's own heart.

Not because he did not willfully sin but because he repented when God showed him proof of his sin. He accepted punishment even though he tried and presuade God with fasting NOTTO KILL the child..,His heart was humble and able to admit that he was wrong and in need of God's grace and forgiveness.

You say you don't judge and in the next breathe you judge. Perhaps you should pray and ask God if your assessment of people on this forum is correct, or if you are just anger they don't agree with your beliefs?

Everyone has weaknesses and temptations but if we pray God shows us a way to overcome. If we fail to overcome, God shows us how to repent and still move forward.

We are not defined by what we do or not do but what God has done in our hearts and in our lives.

God has given us a new heart that seeks Him and His ways. That doesn't mean we will be perfect and never sin though we will seek not too.
.I means that when we sin or fall short of the glory of God,but hearts will be troubled and we will pray and ask God to reveal our transgression so we might try and avoid repeating it again.

No one "defends willful sin" but most will defend GODS GRACE AND FORGIVENESS FOR SINNERS.

For we all need a savior. Thank God He sent Jesus.

I’m not sure what the game of thrones is.. heard it in media but unsure as never watched.. don’t judge those that do.. PHart Love and encourage and humble yourself.. the world is full of explicit and sin.. the only time we can be free of it is in the Kingdom of GOD.. think who the Lord ate with.. the Lord wants us to shine His Light not shoot everyone down because they are doing something we deem unsuitable.. now a Light shines in Darkness brightly.. and there is no Darkness in GOD.. but judge not my dear... be Christ like.. let Him judge us.

You grow by learning to encourage them and living a life that displays God's love and not condemnation.

It takes a certain level of maturity to be able to deal with it all.
.it reminds me ro,the parable of the prodigal son and the older son complaining to his dad.

Have you read the book "Prodigal God"?

I agree the church is in crisis and people are being spiritually attacked daily and aren't even awake enough to see themselves bleeding to death. What we don't agree on is what to do...we can choose to abandon them to wolves, stab them some more or help clean and bandage their wounds and show them a better way of life: God's way.

Sometimes I get discouraged that many people don't read the Bible as often as I have. Not because I am boasringbut because it's hard for me to imagine people walking a different spiritual path than my own.
.However God has shown me that He has taught them lessons I haven't learnt yet,he wants us to help one another grow.

Your expectations are too high. We are imperfect people that God is making us each day more and more like Him.
.are you saying God is moving too slow?

Don't burden others with your expectations and disappointment of them. Instead learn to carry their burdens through prayer. If you see someone sinning, don't ignore it, don't dismiss them. Pray and ask God what He would have you do.

Sometimes it will be to show them a better way. Soemtimes it will be to just pray and watch Him work on their life. We all must be open to God's guidance,

I hope you find a group of people you can trust and grow in Christ with.

And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.

It's 5 am here. Don't know why I am up or even on this site. Haven't looked at the forums for a few weeks, but since I am awake I might as well start my day. (the book "Don't sing songs to a heavy heart" isn't going to read itself and that liturgical dance dress needs to be made)

God bless and keep you all.

He treats us like the pharasies and normals treated the people with leprosy. Shunning and cringing at our sight.
Jesus went to those and healed them.
And its not like all we do is GoT
We read the bible and study etc too

Good for you PH,

I know exactly how you feel. Don’t forget that the Bible is full of prophecy regarding the truth you see.

They preach, but God doesn’t send them. They preach a vision of their own mind, and people love to have it so.

These same people killed the Prophets and their own Mesiah. If Jesus came in this forum and simple repeated His Words, He would be called a Judaizer and a Legalist.

It was Jesus who died for us., we owe Him honor, respect and obedience.

Continue on with the good fight. It will have been worth it in the end.

Actually I thought this was self evident,if you pridefully think you don't need to grow in Christ by striving to do right then it's foolish, everyone can grow spiritually and learn more anytime.
Never assume though bro, things may seem they should be self evident, but are not.

Just blast your way out with natural gas who needs excuses!?....I don't know why I felt like saying this but it got me laughing...

For some reason it had me thinking of personal natural gas, and putting a light to it..( I knew someone in middle school who did this, he had some scaring. I am sure emotionally as well as physically)

Had me laughing also.
