I gave up beer and prawns too :D

I did have a smidgen of wine with my bread this morning :)

I do this in remembrance of He Who loved the world so much, He laid down
His life for us, that through faith in His propitiatory sacrifice on our behalf,
we may attain to life everlasting through the glory of His resurrection,
for He alone holds the keys to life and death, and in Him we live and
move and have our being, now and forever, amen :)

I went to the Sydney Fish market and was totally surprised at the amount and size of the seafood found there.....it was pretty astonishing...and the restaurants around the market served seafood fresh right off the boat into the cookers.....best ever....and the barramundi was excellent......

Ok...back to the regularly scheduled thread......

Yeah, we call it pop here too :) it's what we call it mainly here :) just used the word "soda" on this forum cos there's a lot of americans on here, and it's the word they use for it :)

Awww, you are the opposite of me lol. I can't stand chicken, or turkey haha. I don't like lamb, or rabbit or duck, and not keen on mince either lol. But fish, sea bass is amazing :) I like many types of fish :)

My preacher this morning was telling us he had supper with one of his friend's last friday. He was telling us this man called him in 2012 telling him his wife had terminal brain cancer and wasnt going to live much longer.

Friday 2017 this man and his wife sitting across the table with my pastor. His wife had been diagnosed 3 times with a terminal illness and yet this couple filled with joy, looked across the table and said. " Carl you know God only makes good days
We have the free will to choose rejoice in our blessings and have joy in the trials."

We choose to make Gods given day bad or rejoice we lived another day to speak of God or be the light when all else is dark.
Amen. What a wonderful testimony!

So you believe in election of only a select few and dismissing anyone who doesn't accept Jesus as irrelevant?

Or is this your way of building walls to protect yourself?
It is an interesting point.
Let me put it like Jesus did.

All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them.
John 16:1-4

For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.
John 17:2

I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them.
John 17:6-9

Jesus is saying simply there is a divide between the called and those not called.
All that really matters is the called are not lost. The key criteria is they listen
to Christ. I will repeat this for clarity, They Listen to Christ.

Now if you want to talk to people who deny listening to Christ, deny His commands
rebel against what He stands for, it is your problem.

Can people distract the elect? It appears not. Will there always be the lost doing
everything to justify something else than the simplicity of listening to Jesus and building
our house upon the rock? Yes, because this has always been the point, this is a spiritual
divide, and those not elect will never pass over it, no matter if I in my mind believe it is
always possible it is not. This divides the amenian school of thought, we have a choice
in salvation from the called by God, who are redeemed from the beginning of time.

If one is called there is only one way, to follow and obey, because our hearts drive us
forward. I used to hate the idea that there was no choice, but God is the way, the truth
and the Life, why do I need another way. Halleluyah, I do not, and Christ knew as a
testimony against those not in the Fathers hand, things had to be said and done to prove
their sin and guilt, just as here and everywhere this is the testimony of the elect so in
judgement there is never an excuse, things are laid bare in the light of day.

Yeah, but I drop it in a month splitting wood by hand with a maul HAHAH
That's really cool :) I weight around 9.5 stone, that's around 60 kilos in kilos. So if I put on 5 extra kilos... well, it would give me more protein and might get me bigger :)
