I think scripture is pretty clear, the word is saved not quasi-saved.

However, I am not sure what you are asking..we should not quench the Spirit:D

Jesus did not lust, a person who is love has no need of lust, which is the degradation of another human being for selfish reasons.


Jesus equated lust with adultery, and adultery is sin.

You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Did Jesus lust and therefore commit adultery or not? I say no. What say you?

If we seek good works for salvation they are filthy rags. Until we receive by faith our works are not good works because they are done with an agenda to finish by the flesh what the Spirit started. It says Christ wasn’t enough. And without Christ there is no sacrifice left for sin. All things have been given to lead us unto Christ. And He is being made Lord over our heart in the deepest sense daily. In this, life works out for our good and for the purpose of God. To conform us into the image of Christ. Until we can know truly it is not I who live, but Christ in me. The hope of glory.

Consider it like this: Christ IS saved. He is alive. He is free. He IS Life.

We die to self-life and live to His life. We died to ourselves and were remade in Him. This is our union with God. We are His Body.

This is foolishness to those who are perishing. Because spiritual things are spiritually taught by the Spirit of God.

My answer to this...If Jesus did lust ( Not saying He did ) then His word would be void and He would be a hypocrite ...

Matthew 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart...

I even feel uncomfortable writing this because I cannot comprehend it nor want to...There is no room in my heart to even think this kind of thing, to be honest it hurts me, I just had to get it off my mind...Jesus is pure, and He is without blemish and was when He was in the flesh, unspotted without a mark, He is God, even as man He was God and still is and always will be...Praise God for all He has done for us in Jesus name Amen...xox...

I am baffled as well,

I think scripture is clear

As a Man, Christ was always filled with the Spirit (see Luke 4:1). He always walked in complete dependence upon His heavenly Father. The Bible states that when a person walks in the Spirit he/she will never fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

To ascribe negative emotions to Jesus makes absolutely no sense. We are not tempted to envy, we either feel envy or we do not.

If we could love perfectly as Jesus did, envy would not be part of us.

While lust, envy, greed etc., are defined as emotions on the internet I really prefer to see them as the part of the seven deadly sins. :)

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet he did not sin.

That is where discernment must step in, for temptation is not sin, but lust clearly is. To say Jesus probably lusted is to say you believe He probably sinned. And that is said as if He needed to sin in order to understand the human condition, and sin itself.

No one has said that He DID commit lust.. or adultery or anything else. However, as Hebrews 4:15 shows, He WAS tempted in EVERY WAY. And that temptation is how He knows how it feels for us to feel those emotions.. Because He was exposed to it all..

Actually, I never said He lusted. I said He probably (may have) envied the prisoner set free in His place.. Saying "I bet" or "probably" does NOT make it a fact written in stone.. Just becaused I voiced an opinion about it, doesn't mean that it's true. :)


You said He probably did, which is what I have said.

It is a very sad and huge stretch to read Hebrews and take it mean that He was tempted in all ways that people are tempted.

This interpretation then goes to disgusting depth of twisting Christ's unblemished mind into the most disgusting mind that has ever been.

It means Jesus must have been tempted toward rape, torture and even murder, just like any number of Christians might have experienced temptations in their carnal life.

Paul states "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing" and "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit..."

Lust comes from sin, which produces lust, from within us, from within the flesh.


Jesus did not have the sin nature nor a carnal mind to generate lust.

Post what the Bible says Incase onlookers don't know, if you're really that stuck on it.. you're adding to what people said that is not the same as what they said. You're being ridiculous..

I have said what you said, yet you keep trying to correct me as if I have misrepresented you when I have not. You said He probably did feel lust. You said other things too, yep, all of which amounted to you believe Jesus sinned so that He could understand our sin. Those were your thoughts, you would bet He did those things. You even flat out stated that Jesus sinned by being angry.
