You fail to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.

*Salvation by works is FALSE MANMADE DOCTRINE which rejects our Lord's teaching in John 1:12; 3:15,16,18,36; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26. *Also see Romans 3:22-28; 4:5-6; Galatians 2:16; chapter 3; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5 2 Timothy 1:9 etc...

Until he realises that justification. And conditional sanctification are two different things, he will never get it.

Until he realises works are a product of faith. And not proof of faith or what gives us faith, he will never get it

Until he realises how sinful he is, and how utterly hopeless he is, he will never get it.

until he repents. He will never get it.

That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works is not hard to understand. It's just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to receive Christ. Their hands are full of their works and they will not let go in order to take hold of Christ through FAITH.

Did anyone here teach salvation by works doctrine?

Did Jesus teach salvation by works doctrine when He said that if you want to enter life, obey the commandments?

Are you teaching obedience to God or you consider them works?

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Its human nature, Human nature says taking a handout and not working to earn it is a bad thing. (I have seen peopel who would rather go homeless than take a handout) So for a person who is stuck in pride, it is easier to reject a handout and work for it, then to admit they are totally without hope. And required to humble themselves and recieve the grace gift which ONLY God can give us.

Jesus said go make disciples. THEN teach them to obey

Jesus spoke to people who wanted nothign to do with his gift, they wanted king messiah to rescue them from rome

James is asking YOU to test your faith. He is not saying we are saved by faiht plus works in opposition to paul,

You must take paul in relation to john, who said a man who sins has never seen God or known God. The same paul said NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, but by GODS MERCY HE SAVED US (he did not contradict himself)

When will you wake up and realise all thew works on the world will not save you..

False.....Galatians, Romans, and no one obeys all the commandments 24/7/365 their whole life which is what one would have to do....the law condemns and proves the guilt of all!
Do you want people to believe you and make our Lord Jesus a liar?

John 12:43 for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

Romans 3:3-4 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”

Revelation 3:1-6 To the Church in Sardis “To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Romans 13:11-14 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

Ephesians 5:8-14 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: “wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

2 John 1:4-11 It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Sanctification verses my friend, Not how to get saved verses. Again, if you want to talk about how a child of God shoudl walk. Open another thtread, this thread is about how one gets saved.

When will you give up your continued mistake of trying to mix sanctification with justification?

When will you stop trying to please God thinking if youy do he will let you into heaven because you were a good boy?

Your the one rejecting him man, Your trying to replace his works with your works. Good luck with that.

Jesus said it is finished, You make it as if he said I did my part. Now you do yours.

Paul said those who teach we begin in the spirit (the cross) and must perfect it in the flesh fools. When will youy listen to paul?

saying you trust 100% and actually doing it are not the same.
Amen. Jesus accepts us no matter what percentage of faith we have. If we simply believe He died, was buried, and rose again the third day to pay for our personal sins, that is enough.

Faith of a mustard seed comes to mind. :)

People do not lose faith in a person unbless the person no longer has eanred the persons trust.

What could God ever do to a person to cause them to lose faith? Especially after he adopted them into his family even though we did not deserve or earn it.
e...,

It seems you like to be on the wrong trail;
G-d does nothing to curtail our righteous living. We are very capable of doing it all ourselves. This is demonstrated over and over again in history.

OBEDIENCE AGAINST DISOBEDIENCE

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Only God can judge is what I would say, And the hope is that we would lead one to salvation, because without salvation and experiencing the true love of God in salvation, no one can be obedient, they may be able to not commit adultry, but 0bedience is far more than not commiting adultry, the command is just guide to use to expose us if we break that command, it does nto even tell us how to obey it. Because it was not given for that purpose.

There is only one requirement to be saved. Not many, and that is to have faith in Jesus (john 3: 16 and many other places) which means you have to repent (if you do not repent you can not have true saving faith)

Adding any work, no matter what it is (water baptism, churhc membership. Taking communion, Giving to the poor. Obeying Gods commands) are adding ones work to the equation of grace through faith. And is a false gospel. Period.

Baptism (HS) is a result of the gospel being applied to our lives

Baptism (water) is an act of obedience to the God who SAVED (yes past tense) us and the ability to give a testimony of God to whoever is witnessing your baptism)

Again, Paul said it best, Not by works of righteousness which we have done (water baptism IS a work of righteousness) But by his mercy, He saved us by the washing (water) and renewal (new birth) OF The HOLY SPIRIT (the one who does the washing and gives us new life)

If I have to do the work of water baptism to be saved, Salvation is NOT by grace, but by works. And if your going to obey one command, You better follow them all. Because if it is of works. We better be perfect.

the penalty of sin is death, It is not being water baptised. The payment can only be paid by death (the cross) Water baptism has NO PART in salvation. Period.

Yet KEEPING HIS COMMANDS is NOT WHY WE ARE SAVED. If one says it is, they are teaching law. And thats the problem. Because they do not understand law. If they did understand law. They would never claim OBEDIENCE IS REQUIRED TO BE SAVED , because they would KNOW and UNDERSTAND no amount of obedience will ever put us over the standard required by God. And then they will truly understand the cross.

ElAmor

….But Jesus said;

Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

Matthew 7:15-23 A Tree and Its Fruit “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
