Hi ElAmor, your screen name is a misnomer. This is what I was referring to when I said you are only itching for an argument - you truly have no interest in gaining insight into the Holy Scriptures only to demean people and refer to them as ZOMBIES, foolish nonsense.

ElAmor's response to Decon's post, you are a child trying to play like you are a grown up.
In addition to acting childish, ElAmor could not even properly answer my four simple questions, so I cannot take him seriously at all.

If this is your definitions of sanctification and justification, I bet these 2 scriptures drive you crazy:

James 2:24-25 King James Version (KJV)
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers,
and had sent them out another way?

How do we reconcile these 2 scriptures with Paul?
No they do not

Because unfortunately for you we have romans 4

4 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]2 [/SUP]For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For what does the Scripture say?“Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[SUP][b][/SUP] [SUP]4 [/SUP]Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

We also have eph 2: 8 - 9 We have been saved by grace through faith and NOT OF WORKS
we
have romans 5 -
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

And we have the context of James. Those who CLAIM TO HAVE FAITH (he never said they had faith at all. In fact he said their faith was dead. Dead means non existent, lifeless. They have BELIEF, but they did nti have FAITH.

thats why they did not have works.

You were justified by the cross man, Not by your works. You need to get your focus off self. and get it on Christ, Your in danger!

Reminds me of a little joke.

The Teacher caught little Johnnie, pulling the pony-tail of the girl who sat in front of him. The Teacher who knew that little Johnnie was a serious Christian said,
"Johnnie, that is not very Christ-like of you!"

Johnnie answered back, "Yes teacher, but God is not finished with me yet."

Tea For Mom

A little girl made a cup of tea for her mother.

"I didn't know you could make tea," said mom taking a sip.

"Yes, I boiled some water, added the tea leaves like you do, and then strained it into a cup. But I couldn't find the strainer, so I used the fly swatter."

"What!" exclaimed mom, choking on her tea.

"Oh, don't worry. I didn't use the new fly swatter. I used the old one."

God bless the children.......:)

The circular reasoning you use is ignorant...ok let's play this out....where is the church Jesus started in Jerusalem, or all the churches that Paul started in his life? You lawyers, working for Pharisees have no concept of context and or the truth.....no wonder....when one believes a false gospel from the get go....the word is spiritually discerned<---go figure that one out!
You can't show me circular reasoning because there is none. I said, Jesus told the believers at Ephesus they were fallen and unless they repented they would be removed. They were. What has that got to do with the church at Jerusalem? OR any other church of Paul? It only dispels OSAS.

Do you know, that particular interpretation, was WHY Martin Luther first want the book of James, NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CANON. It was only after Martin Luther reconsidered that James cannot Contradict what the other authors had already written, that he came to the conclusion that HE HAD THE WRONG INTERPRETATION.

JAMES cannot contract the Teachings of JESUS:

John 3:5-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.

No mention of works being part of SALVATION there.

John 3:15-16 (HCSB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

No mention of works being part of SALVATION there.

John 6:47 (HCSB)
[SUP]47 [/SUP] “I assure you: Anyone who believes has eternal life.

No mention of works being part of SALVATION there.

John 10:28 (HCSB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.

Notice, it is ETERNAL LIFE he gives to our Human Spirit, even though the body will die, and be ressurected. IT IS NOT ETERNAL IF YOU CAN LOSE IT.

"The
book The of Galatians is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). It was written by the Apostle Paul about 49 A.D. prior to the Jerusalem Council which had taken place in 50 A.D.
This quite possibly could have been Paul's first letter. "
http://biblehub.com/summary/galatians/1.htm

JAMES, cannot contradict what Paul wrote in the Book of Galatians:

Galatians 2:16 (HCSB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

There is NOT two Gospels, so what DID JAMES MEAN? JAMES, has parallel Verses what 1 John 3:14-18, which will give us the CLEAR DEFINITION of what JAMES ACTUALLY MEANT:

1 John 3:14-19 (HCSB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] This is how we have come to know love: He laid down His life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his ⌊need⌋—how can God’s love reside in him?
[SUP]18 [/SUP] Little children, we must not love with word or speech, but with truth and action.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] This is how we will know we belong to the truth and will convince our conscience in His presence,

SEE IT? It is NOT PART OF SALVATION, but rather IT IS PART OF THE LOVE THE FATHER HAS GIVEN US WHEN WE WERE SAVED.

NOW DOESN'T THESE VERSES DRIVE YOU CRAZY, WHEN YOU SEE HOW WRONG YOUR THEOLOGY HAS BEEN:

Ephesians 2:4-9 (HCSB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,
[SUP]5 [/SUP] made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens,
[SUP]7 [/SUP] so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through ⌊His⌋ kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift
[SUP]9 [/SUP] not from works, so that no one can boast.

John 4:10 (NCV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] Jesus said, “If you only knew the free gift of God and who it is that is asking you for water, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.“

Romans 5:15 (NKJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

Romans 6:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amazing how many workers for and Pharisees/lawyers like to use those verses as "go to" verses about losing salvation when they have nothing to do with salvation!

You are "grasping at straws" in trying to draw a parallel between John 6:54 and the Lord's supper. The text does not support your position. It's that simple.

Hebrews 10:11-14
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
[h=1]John 6:54 King James Version (KJV)[/h][FONT=&quot]54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

This scripture corresponse perfectly with the following scriptures:
[/FONT]

[h=1]Matthew 26:26-28 King James Version (KJV)
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples,
and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.[/h]Communion or Sacrament was given to us as a commandment by Jesus to remember what Jesus has done for us. It is through this communion or Sacrament that we metaphorically partake of his body and his blood. It is a perfect doctrine.

The Catholics went overboard and started to tell us that during the Sacrament the bread and wine actually turn into the body and blood of Jesus. That of course is out of line.

Sure they did because your go to verse has nothing to do with salvation!
Don't you believe that the salvation means, Christ died on the cross to wash away your sins, so you are sinless and allowed to enter into the KOH? So Christ forgiving you of you sins is important to your salvation, right?

Jesus says, if you do not forgive, my Father will not forgive you of your sins. IOW you will not be sinless, and your salvation is in jeopardy.

So how is my go-to scripture not part of salvation? Please explain, without name calling. Thank you.

I saw that and knew that you would use that to somehow counter James. Apparently James does not believe the same way as Paul. Which one are we to believe? James seems to believe more along the lines of what Jesus believes. At times, Paul seems to be in conflict with Jesus. What are we to do?

This is a pretty straight forward scripture that does not need a lot of interpretation skills. But what is the interpretation that Martin came up with?
