I faced a spiritual dilemma with many meeting Jesus.
Believe Him and his purity, you have to leave what you believe behind, have new loyalties,
and a new walk.

It is always asking a lot. But who is the Jesus? Why the cross, and why is seeing the cross
our salvation?

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
John 3:14-15

So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.
Num 21:9

People were healed by just looking at the bronze serpent.

So just looking at Christ on the cross, seeing God dying for our sins is enough for
us to be healed of our sins. Seeing Christ, understanding what the cross means,
God dying a cruel death to take my guilt and sin away, without any bitterness or
remorse or ill will, freely forgiving me, is so powerful it fills up my mind and heart.

If this truth dwells in your soul, self righteousness does not exist for you.
To be there you would know.

Do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Matt 10:19-20

there is one truth, If someone claims there are many truths, That is a reason to run, and hide,

As Jesus said, I am the way truth and life.

As paul said, there is one gospel. not many gospels.

many truths is the idea of universalism.
Post 717 and the following statement that is quoted is the exact reason why every flavor is found under the sun, why most will end up in hell and why false teaching such as Jesus and Mary M. having kids have permeated humanity.....!

Dear friends, truth is not just one perspective, but many. <----PJ

Peter, NOWHERE in ANY of my replies on here, have I said, inferred or implied that there is no hope of purity or freedom, or of liberation and victory. I honestly don't know how you keep misinterpreting my responses. Jesus gave us freedom and liberation when He died on the cross, AND he gave us victory over sin. However, even the most "righteous" of christians STILL sin, even though they are saved. I keep emphasizing grace because YOU keep saying that we are saved through faith alone. We aren't, because as I said previously, we can't be saved by one or the other, we have to have BOTH. Of course anyone can walk like Jesus, but they ARE only sinful humans, and unlike Jesus, they ARE tempted to sin. We are NOT perfect, not by a long shot. News flash: we are not perfect saints, we are filthy sinners. It's apparently beyond my understanding, why some here think that christians don't sin once they're saved.. Because they DO. And they KNOW they're sinning, while they are fornicating with someone else's spouse, or viewing porn, swearing or whatever.. Go visit the Family forum, you'll see exactly what I mean.
Blue - Imagine a very big person trying to go up a hill. They go very slowly, and sometimes
you wonder are they moving at all. Now imagine the difference if rather than going up you
are actually going down. The goal is no longer the top, just making do. At the time there
is almost no difference, but the end is totally different. This is what happens when
you loose focus on the goal to be like Christ and wrapped up in the issues of dealing with
the consequences of sin in peoples lives.

I hope you understand this point, it is rather important.

Do you guys know the difference between many ways to God and many different aspects of
the one way?

Intellectually challenged is the term.

Truth is absolute. It's not just one perspective of many. But you are right, intellectually challenged is the term that applies to such a belief.

I might state this another way...

Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

To some it is not given at this time.

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Phil 2:5-11

Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me.
1 cor 4:15

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
1 cor 11:1

Let us imitate Paul as Paul imitated Christ.

That some are ignorant of the truth does not change that truth is absolute.

Totally agree......like the following...

God made man in his image <--absolute truth is, man is made in the image of God...end of story

MANY PERSPECTIVES SUCH AS POST 717

God is man and is made in his own image and saves himself
God made man from an electrified pool of protein filled sludge
God allowed man to come from a worm
MAN made GOD and then claim God made man
God made a monkey that evolved into man

The tip of the proverbial ice berg.............

one way is one way,

if there are many aspects. there are many ways..

One line, straight and narrow the gate.. Not a wiggly mess of different lines or roadways, which end up in the same spot..

Exactly..............Jesus said, I MYSELF am the true and living way, NO MAN comes unto the FATHER but by me!

and funny thing, notice the one that gets chunked with the "bath water"

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save the that believe<----ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

MANY PERSPECTIVES LIKE POST 717
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and do many wonderful works.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and are baptized.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and do 7 sacraments.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and are a member of hickory stick church.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and jump through religious hoops.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and take the Lord's supper.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe and then never sin or fail.

Just the tip of the proverbial "religious" iceberg!

You know...the Pharisee who blended human effort and the works of the law with faith were blind to the truth...they attempted to establish their own righteousness and Jesus was clear....to secure a place in heaven or the kingdom one would have to exceed the righteousness of the scribe and Pharisee....Saul (who became Paul) as a Pharisee said that outwardly one could not convict him of sin....he followed the law to the letter and yet was still as lost as a goose...works of any sort will never gain, maintain or keep biblical salvation....only one could exceed the righteousness of the law and his name is JESUS....HIS righteousness without the deeds of the law (works) is imputed unto ALL who exercise genuine faith into his completed work.....

Those who say they need works to help gain it, keep it or maintain it speak clearly to the point that what Jesus has accomplished on behalf of men was not sufficient.....THE FATHER was pleased, the debt was satisfied and the way no open.....tragic that those who trust into works will pay the price one day when they stand before Jesus boasting of their works and right to enter....albeit too late!

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

I rejoice in my King that he has given all those who call on the name of Jesus
and follow His ways the right to be called Children of the Living God.

An open heart, without which you will never receive the things of God.
Faith in Christ and the cross to forgive your sins.
Repentance of the sins you have commited, and a desire to walk righteously.
Purity that comes by healing and cleansing of the blood of Christ and the
work of the Holy Spirit.
A good conscience that does not condemn you.
A walk in love following in obedience the words of Christ under the law of Christ.

Your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
2 Cor 7:9-10

It is strange how the very things Paul preaches, his heart moves in, these very
things some oppose.

Everything in some teaching would be fine, if peoples walk was holy and pure.
So the faith has its form and structure, but without the reality.

The problem is without trusting all to Christ and becoming vulnerable, letting the
word change and transform you, it is just a form of faith, and nothing I say or God
says will change it.

The call is always to repent from sinning and walk in the way of Jesus.

If this has got lost among all the noise, then there is only chaff.
