The topic is SALVATION IS NOT BY WORKS...how can you be discussing something and not even know the real topic?

Again.., they want to help people up to the mountain top...you want to talk about walking down the valley on the other side (which can't happen until they make it UP THE MOUNTAIN FIRST aka accept Christ Jesus as their foundation).
.
Yet YOU think you are right and they just don't see the "real" issue?
I do not think, that is beyond my pay grade. lol.
My experience is people have no problem accepting Jesus saves them, it is the walk or
seeing reality in their lives which is the issue.

In a Billy Graham mission thousands went forward, but how many go to church now?

And dc stand is very much to condemn me and all similar to myself. So this is very much
a pertinent issue, though his way of referring to it maybe different to mine, it does not
stop addressing all the relevant theological issues.

If you believe all sin the whole world is now forgiven or not a salvation issue, do you not
think that is not important here? Or maybe you do not understand what they really believe
yourself.

So some works are legalistic and some are not?

I have heard that works done from self are evil, but done from God are good.
An angel comes down and points out the ones which are good so believers are
able to tell the difference :)

And what is the difference between sinful actions and blessed actions.
So many boundaries and reference points are crossed it becomes very confusing.
Gonna play dumb?

How do you know the difference between what the world judges as "good works" and what God considers "righteous works"?

Motive.

God sees our motives. Do we it for selfish reasons or do we do it for His Glory?

Even good works done for selfish motives can be used as blessings by God, for he works good for all His children.

I think you are deluded that you understand what others believe.

They don't believe in universalism, but since you can't understand how to help folks up the mountain...why are you even in this conversation?

Your problem is that lots of people have issues accepting that Jesus saves them. That is why folks accept false gospels.

What exactly is "beyond your paygrade"?

I believe that judgment fell on Christ for sins as far as spiritually goes. There is a natural consequences for sinning as in having a corrupt government - this will by itself bring about consequences. It is not God doing it. He will bring about His judgment on those that reject Christ when He judges them.
This is an expression of forgiveness of sins for the whole world in Christ.
If people were open about their theological positions it would help, especially in discussions
like this.

This is not me inventing or being deluded about peoples position so please to not fall into
this trap. Certain people will not mention their beliefs if it will look bad in a discussion,
because no matter how inconsistent it is, they are not going to let go.

I do not know why people accept different gospels.
I remember when my faith was more fluid than now.

I just want to share the victory Christ bring through His love.
Everything flows from this realisation through the cross.

So this is what I share. I could make a case for those who wander off
never really met Jesus. I know why I love Him, because of who He is shown
in His words, His deeds, His life with the disciples, the cross and the resurrection.

God bless you :)

Peter, almost everyone on this thread, with the exception of 2 or 3, believe that we are saved by grace through faith. AND we believe that works are NOT necessary to do for the purpose of gaining or keeping salvation, nor to get us a pass into heaven.

Are these YOUR beliefs also? Yes or no? :)

:) We are saved because we know Jesus. Now many will claim to know Jesus, be loved by Him,
forgiven by Him yet fail to walk in love or His ways.
Jesus obeyed the Father and the Father gave the law so that we might know what righteousness
is.
If we continue being evildoers we have no part of His Kingdom.

The path is narrow because our hearts deceive us, though we think we know ourselves.

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling
Phil 2:12

What I am amazed at, is the testimony over 2 years still you ask me about my faith.
Read it in the blog I wrote. If you think I do not know Jesus my Lord, then so be it.

What is most difficult in our interactions is to keep ones focus on Jesus and not on
those who would desire harm, or anger, or tearing down another, or see evil, or reflect
hurt from the past.

Jesus says this about His people
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
John 7:38

So I praise God stands by and heals His people, for great is our King who takes
the lowly and exalts them in His grace. Amen

1. You didn't answer my question.

2. I never said that you don't know God.

3. I've never read your blog.

4. TODAY is the absolute first time that I have ever asked you what you believe.

I am an evangelical charismatic christian.
I believe in repenting of our sins, confessing our sins to Christ and asking for forgiveness through the cross.
I trust in Christ and His death on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins
I believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His ministry in my life
I believe we can walk in righteousness, holiness and purity
I believe in the authority of scripture as our highest authority
I believe the Holy Spirit guides us, convicts us of sin and helps us in our
daily lives.
I believe we are predistined before time to be in the Kingdom of heaven
I believe in faith we bring heaven to earth in walking by the Spirit
I believe are hearts are born in love and get closed down by hurt
I believe Christ opens us up through His words and gives us communion which
empowers our walk with Him to abide daily, hourly through hard and good times
I believe the sermon on the mount applies to us now, and we need to obey and follow Jesus in everything.
I believe we have the assurance of salvation through the presence of the Holy Spirit ministering to our spirits.
I believe when we are born again, we are total new creations with the potential to walk in the Kingdom of heaven which we then need to exercise.
I believe we are remade through obedience and sanctification in our walk with the Lord, the old being remade into the new.
Above all love should rule our hearts in righteousness and justice.

Hope this helps, God bless :)

smh!! I doubt he will ever listen.. He keeps using this same old srgument, as if we never told him before... Or else he would not keep saying these things, as if it is a new topic never before discussed.

its not confusing at all. If we know WHAT SIN IS.. It gets confusing when you water down lava. And try replace them with your own interpretation. Thats what makes it confusing, because there is no set baseline.
