So...this thread's still going, huh...how's everyone holding up so far?
I simply don't understand the purpose of day after day, page after page, of brothers and sisters engaging an individual with the exact same Biblical perspective, that has been rejected by this individual for years now.

It's hard to see the fruit. It's become almost farcical. I know this will be taken the wrong way, but surely there must be other ways to show Christ's love beside this rehash. Having said, that, if anyone feels led to continue, God Bless you.

smh smh smh - I wrote a post with two verses simply to ask about the basis
on which Paul talked about the law of Christ.

I also mentioned my walk in the Lord and then whats the answer some
totally unrelated reply as if I have said nothing.

This is not a conversation or even respect or anything I recognise from a friend
or brother in Christ. And so it remains.

But it is always about love despite who they are or what they do, because in Christ
we have love eternal.

I could see a light come on, then the programming kicks in and bam, the show goes on.
There has to be some kind of delusion at work, because no one is this disfunctional out
of choice.

Agreed but it is not wrong to correct our brothers in the faith.

I do agree with you with certain interactions.

Sometimes I wonder when simple points cannot be answered, but maybe if they
get to insecure on the foundation, avoidance is the best alternative.

I have though gained insights, for instance into conviction idolatry, which hopefully
will now be avoided. Funnily I am all for avoiding justification by works, but oddly
though this is my position, I am told it is not, and I believe something else.

Some have helped illuminate how similar words can be used to describe different things
and sometimes parties actually mean the same thing but a different way of getting there.

There is though different belief systems at work, which is sometimes obscured.
And then we come down to emotional repression and insecurity, which needs addressing
as emotional repression always leads to distortions, but insecurity is a healthy good thing
like fear of God, without which we would quickly be blasted apart.

for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
1 Thess 5:2-3

People love quoting the idea there is peace and safety, but the day of judgement
is going to come like a thief in the night.

We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition. For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.
1 Thess 2:2-4
Don't stop at verse 3, you gotta read on!!! You are using God's word out of context to prove an incorrect point. Manipulating scripture, oops, you committed your 1st sin today.

1 Thess 5:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. [SUP]5 [/SUP]You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

next!!
Yes, I love when people use and manipulate scripture to fit their own narrative!!

See how deceptive this person is, So deceptive, I think he has fooled himself into really thinking he does no wrong.

Peter you make it to easy.

Lets see what really was said.

And funnily people cannot believe my patience,
See Peter. this is why you get so much flack. It is always about you. What you do, How holy you are. Now we see how patient you are (SMH)
So for all to see, Peter did not just post somethign about the basis for what paul talked about the love of Christ, or about his walk. Be puffed himself up by telling us how people are amazed at how patient he is, which is nothing more than boasting in the flesh.

I think God wrote scripture in such a way it makes it easier to see who are false teachers trying to do this, Because taking things out of context is so easily seen by anyone wiht an open mind it has to make people wonder how they think they can get away with it.

How is this not security, how is this no position? how is this not status? How is this not the root of our faith?

I do not get it..
Cuz...folks don't recognize WHO is doing the work within them...

13for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

14Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
