If you don't like talking to "defense attorneys for the guilty" how do you converse with Jesus?
He is our advocate to a much higher and just judge.
Ariel - Obviously dc understands your point, I do not. Jesus is my saviour, my life, my inspiration
my Lord through whom I dwell and have my being.

A pharisee goes up does all their good works so everyone sees.
Their motivation is recognition, so others know that they are ok.
Jesus says, it is helping others that matters, being a servant to them and showing love.
Recognising the action is pointless, that is self obsession, meeting the need is loving people.

So I am not saving myself, I need Jesus because He is my Lord who I love. I love Him because
of who He is, not because I fail. God is not a crutch who we need because we fail, He is why
everything we have got exists and for His glory. I hope you are not a believer just because you
have a need, and if you were healthy, stuff Jesus, but I am beginning to suspect this is what some
feel. I suppose it makes sense, a broken vessel just needs patching, but my vessel has died and
risen in Christ.

I wish I knew what people meant by perfect. All I know is how I can reach out to others and share,
and I hope it helps them. Many treat this like dirt, but God bless them, I can but give. I know the
value of Jesus and His word, bringing it into others lives and helping it grow is difficult.

Nothing shall separate us from the love of God

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Exactly.........and I don't recall using the word BOTHERED......see how he embellishes.....NO LONGER AN ISSUE IN A BELIEVER........

The HOLY SPIRIT convicts of SIN WHY........BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE NOT ON ME<------THIS totally gets swept under the table by the workers for wh have to rely on sin as their go to loss of salvation means......makes me want to spew!
So God does not chasten His people when they sin?

Funny lots of dead rebellious people would disagree with you, but you have the right
to blind yourself on purpose, so you do not see what is right in front of you.

Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion.
Jude 1:11

Korah thought literally he was doing Gods will against Moses.
He went to God for an answer.

Now you may not want to think about this, but humour me.
A man believes in God. He was prepared to stand in front of the
Father, the Lord who led them out of Egypt, parted the waters,
slaughtered many for rebellion against Him and the law, yet Korah
thought he was right.

God opened the ground and swallowed him and his family, burnt holes
through those who offered unholy offering in the temple.

God rebukes sin wherever it occurs.

It is only false teaching and blindness that denies this. It is not a big
leap. Paul even said believers had died for dishonouring the Lord in the
breaking of bread. Do you see the game you are playing, and the fire
that this brings if you persist?

There are many here who twist scripture to pieces. Those are the workers for salvation. Those are the ones who believe that good works save us and get us into heaven. Dcon does not hold those views, nor does he twist scripture to fit his views..

How can I believe that when he's in here every day twisting the scriptures to pieces?

Funny you quote that......and especially the reference to CAIN.....the context is false teachers and first on the list is CAIN who taught a WORKS based salvation.....exactly like you do.....and a few others just like you.........hilarious.....!

Just a point ....

Perhaps you might want to think differently about the Pharisees? Since Jesus called them sons of vipers. Can vipers do anything good? They wanted Jesus gone. Jesus was constantly getting in their face about the hypocrisy.

That's all Peter...going back to what I was doing.

We contend for the faith.

So that those who are worried and down cast, falsely believing that they can be unborn again, will know that Jesus did a

complete work on behalf of the born again believer and He will as He promised not loose a single one!!

Those aren't assumptions.....

You cant possibly believe what you just said & run with those that don't.

You believe what they believe, because every time they post what they believe, you put your big "LIKE" on them.

What idiot would put their "like" on a SDA post if they didn't believe it?

Your actions give you away.
==========================================

Stephen,

if you are referring to Ariel as an 'idiot', I really don't appreciate it or think it is appropriate -
this doesn't sound like 'correction in Love'...remember, she is a Mother and Child of God...

your emotions are out of hand brother, please take a rest, you act and sound like it is
greatly needed, and no, I don't mean just you...

That never was my intention.....

 dc - Do you know the difference between accepting a point and throwing dirt in
someones face?

Korah ended in a bad place. The Lord did a new thing to show His contempt at such
rebellion. Now until the ground opened up he thought he was right.

How did Moses defend himself?

Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been of my own accord. If these men die as all men die, or if they are visited by the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord creates something new, and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”
And as soon as he had finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split apart. And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the people who belonged to Korah and all their goods. So they and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly. And all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!” And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men offering the incense.
Numbers 16:28-35

What is interesting to see is man has not changed to any degree.
Now the Lord did something similar with Ananais and Sapphira.

People always presume the sins they easily commit in private they can
continue where the Lord moves mightly. Woe to anybody who treats the
Lord with such contempt.
