Is this talking about rewards?

The change took place in the spirit and its GOD that did a work in us,and we have a desire to be obedient. We still have to live in this fallen world in these bodies that have not been glorified yet though.

Blessed are those that have been reborn in the spirit who enter in,those that are outside are not saved.

So what is your point?
[SUP]Seems like you writing your own version of the scriptures.....

7 [/SUP]My little children, let no man lead you astray: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous:

[SUP]14 [/SUP]We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Study verse 7 closely. What makes a man righteous?

You read the word and it is clear ...now you want me to answer a question already answered by the word ?......
Yes, I know, but would prefer to hear your answer. If that's okay.

Being new to these forums, I'm just beginning to see a pattern emerging. This "OSAS" argument by a few proponents is emerging that the heart of the issue is subscribing to "easy believism." Those holding the view you mouth a confession of Jesus, go through the motions, get water baptized, whatever, then go on being that same helpless sinner, forever secure because Jesus' blood gave you a "get out of hell free" card, I would strongly suggest you Google "easy believism," if unwilling of careful study of the Bible over your life to give you the concept of the new man and God not being mocked, because you are in very big trouble!

"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame."(1 Corinthians 15;34). Paul warns in 1 Corinthians about church members who do not have the knowledge of God.

Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 15 about those who have believed "in vain". See v.2: "unless you have believed in vain".

The Bible in Titus 1:16 declares that there are those in the churches who profess to know God but their lifestyle demonstrates something different: "
They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work." (Titus 1:16|ESV)

Paul warns church members in Galatians 1:6 about following "another gospel". There is one "everlasting gospel" which does save but there are also many false gospel messages that will not save when the righteous wrath of God is revealed.

And the denial of God is not in words but it is in works...and there is a school of thought that is proud to deny God in works....

The point is chose death (carnal mind ) or chose life ( life in the spirit of God

It takes serious courage to arrive at a Christian site and call Jesus' word a lie. But there are many a one here that do that. God forgive you all.
Once saved allways saved is a false doctrine = heresy , if one does walk away from christ , and were to die in sin then damnation is for sure , there is such thing as not really knowing christ through a carnal living instead of the spiritual walk for the new covenant is cooperative in walking spiritual as christ was

There are unbelievers who act good and those who act bad. Likewise there are believers who act bad and who act good. Unbelievers are not saved, no matter what they do. Believers are not unsaved, no matter what they do.

Agreed. What about Rev 3:5? He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I Will Not erase his name from the book of life.

In ordered to be erased from the book of life would you not have to be first in the book of life? This verse made be a beliver that you can lose your salvation. :). Blessings

Hell is eternal separation from the love of God. God is love so His love is unconditional. This verse you stated is conclusive in guaranteeing eternal salvation. The "us" that Paul was referring to is us as born again believers in Jesus and the belief in the promise that He made. Even a believer will often stumble and fall. When that happens the believer ask for forgiveness in order to be reconciled to the Lord to walk in His light, and is not attempting to renew his salvation.
which is totally different from one who had a relationship with God and then rejects him.....

Hebrews 10:28-30English Standard Version (ESV)
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

As the thing they could bend to their convenience to fit their need but God is Holy His Word is Holy and whe should be Holy as He is , all you need is first Jesus then to obey His Word and use tge free gift of the Holy Ghost to be edified through prayer in the spirit
