That's the perfect response because that's not really a police officer. It's a law cultist impersonating one and trying to bring her into bondage to the law. Since she's not under the law, she knows he has no authority to arrest her. That's why she's smiling. He's probably gnashing his teeth...

1. The police officer has no power to send anyone to hell
2. No one has ever stated that being under grace means you can speed and not suffer the consequences. In fact scripture says clearly, A believer will suffer greater than a nonbeliever. who just has to deal with the ticket.

in other words. Nice picture, and we can all get a good laugh. But other than that, it is meaningless in the law vs grace debate

Right...I think...

Rom_7:4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.

Rom_7:6 But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive,so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.

Gal_2:19 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God.

Amen,

we must die and surrender our ALL that we might partake of His grace and live
our lives to the fullness of His calling and trust in us.....

We all know that we are saved by faith. The same Greek word used for faith is used for belief - pistis (faith (239x), belief (1x). We are to believe in the only begotten Son of God - we are to believe that God raised him from the dead - BINGO - we are saved - we have faith. NOW - does that negate the fact that there are principles and promises of God to us that are given to the extent that we obey? Does that negate the fact that we should obey - not for salvation - we have that but to have God's blessing upon our lives?

The children of Israel received blessings or cursings according to their obedience to the law. Is that different today? IOW, do we still receive blessings or cursings according to our obedience to God? Is this no longer true? "And if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth . . . Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. . . Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out. . . . And the LORD make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today, being careful to do them, and if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left to go after other gods to serve them. . . . BUT if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God . . . then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you" . . Deut. 28. Now I know that this was to the NATION of Israel - but think about it in terms of the United States . . . What do you see befalling the United States as a nation due to their disregard for God? These principles and promises are still HERE. I see it more as obeying the word of God and NOT necessarily the LAW. And as individuals in our Christian WALK - we too see blessings on our lives as we obey the WORD of God. Our salvation is intact not because of our obedience but because of our faith and God's grace but our WALK of obedience is a day to day joy, battle or struggle - however you want to look at it. I consider it a joy!

Just my thoughts . . . :)

All I wanted was to make someone chuckle like I did when I saw this. I can just imagine someone actually saying this and hoping to get off.
But obviously not this girl - she's cute enough he ain't gonna give her a ticket anyway. :)

Unreal folks start bickering so easily. :(

I guess I see it (in brief) as 'we have died and risen in Christ' and now Christ is in us conforming us to His image.

It all goes back to the judge who sentenced his own daughter to a fine for speeding and then took off his robe and scribbled out a check to pay her fine.

This made me sort of ponder the fact that God, being the righteous loving judge that He is didn't couldn't and wouldn't lessen the penalty even tho it was He who would ultimately pay it.

Tell ya a little true story.....I was coming home from the nursing home for a weekend visit a couple years ago. My oldest daughter was doing the driving chores. She is a very pretty young woman. She came to get me from her work, and she dresses smartly. Skirt that was too short(which I never fail to tell her about) and going about 20 miles over the speed limit coming out of Seminole.
A cop pulls in behind her and turns on the lights. She pulls over, he walks up to the drivers door, looks in, checks me out, checks her out. "Where you going".."Taking my dad home for the weekend. Sorry about my speed, I wasn't watching".
Cop looks at her, looks at her drivers license.."If I let you go will you promise to slow down and pay more attention?" "Yes sir, I'll do that"
So the cop gives her license back and say be careful. I'm about to blow a gasket because if it was me the cop woulda been writing out a ticket. I really wanted to say that to him too, but after all, it was my daughter.
A pretty girl can get away with murder. :(

This is her with my grandson.
