I've recently been afforded the opportunity to work on a Theological Master's degree. I've been doing some research over the last several months to find good schools. The primary reason for going for the MA is personal enrichment, although it could be helpful for future ministry in the not so foreseeable future. After weighing out the finances, accreditation, and program contents, I've narrowed my short(er) list to the following:

Andersonville Theological Seminary
Columbia International University
Cornerstone University
Golden Gate Baptist University
Liberty University
Maranatha Baptist Bible College
Moody Bible Institute
Southwestern Baptist Theologcial Seminary
Southwestern College

I'm aware that there is a wide aray of denomination here, so any opinions or information on these schools is helpful.

Any thoughts?

There are some quality schools on your list and I'm sure you will get a great online education. But if there are any seminaries close you could attend in person, I'd recommend that route. A good library is a must for a biblical degree IMO.

This suggestion comes from an elderly Grandma who has only had time to do intensive study in the last 8 years, and that on my own.

The information made available through the deep sea scrolls have opened up reliable and accurate information on biblical history that was not available before. Many schools have made use of this information, many professors. Those who have are much more accurate and reliable as professors.

These are the ones in your list that I've heard of. :) Moody Bible Institute was where a few of my pastors attended and is a great school. I have heard positive things from these other schools as well, though I haven't met anyone personally who's attended the others. :)

I looked into an affordable online seminary because I can't afford the tuition of standard online seminaries. Pillsbury is a good one, it seems, but I don't know if they have what you're looking for. Here's the link, if you want to check them out: Christian Counseling Degrees, Courses, Certification: Distance Learning Counseling Degrees Online-Pillsbury College & Seminary

Update.....

I'll be starting my Master's Degree online at Liberty University in January.

I'm not thrilled with everything they believe in, But I'm not going there for their theology.

Covenant Theological Seminary is free and online. At least it was free. I think it still is. Lots of great info there.
