LOL, Mr. MIUAIG. So Jesus would?

But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.John 10:12

Maybe that is why he carried it on his shoulder and called his friends and neighbors and said to them behold the one that I found. Let's eat and tomorrow we will go find the rest of them.

And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him;
1 Sam 17:20

I guess you have one of those copyright translations seeing the wilderness is translated as open pasture.

Luke 15:4-6
What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
You are comparing two different scenarios taught by the Lord Jesus Christ. To equate them as the same is not proper.

In Luke 15, the Shepherd is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Shepherd Who goes out and actively seeks those who have strayed. Once He finds the lost, He lays them on His shoulder and carries them back to the fold.

In John 10, the hireling is not the Lord Jesus Christ. John 10:13-14 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

When you claim that only the hireling would leave sheep untended, you are saying that the shepherd in Luke 15 is the hireling.

Do you believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the hireling?
