It looks like there is a connection here. The connection being that certain people think their own work is what makes them right before God. Their understanding and their strength.
Aren't these all good works that are listed? Yes, they are. So why don't good works make people good? It doesn't seem fair, does it?
What is the solution?

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
The pharisees and most everyone else still had the vail over their hearts and minds. The vail that made them think their own works caused them to be good before God.

The very Epistle I am currently studying........for many days now......I believe that the Epistles of Peter are highly underrated, or overlooked, when it comes to revealing the Gospel of Christ to the Church. I am gaining so much respect for his Epistles, and insight into the Gospel, and receiving so much inner peace from my study.
by the way Peter, you're a smart man in my opinion, & i do love and respect you - but i often find myself thinking you're a nutter lol -- so i've got a bit of joy seeing a post from you i can legitimately "like" without any second thought
everything is good. In the world everything get devalued into gain, or putting things
to ones own ends, rather than just joy and praise to the Lord.
