So, as of 7:30pm (European time) The Roman Catholic Church has a new pope. Pope Francis. Apparently heralded as a man of great simplicity he is also the first pope who is a Jesuit and from South America, Argentina. Although most from there, are actually very European! He is the first leader for over a millennium elected from outside Europe. This man has a very challenging role, what changes, as Christians, do we think may come from his appointment?

Expect true christians to be persecuted, killed (read the oath that the jesuits take) more and more rape and murders, homosexuality, banning the Bible by calling it hate speech (like when they burned Bibles during the dark ages/inquisition) rounding up any christians who resist the whore one world satanic religion into death camps, persecution of the Jewish remnant, lies and hypocracy, soul damning blasphemies, billions of people led to hell through Sodom/ Rome, catholics being turned over to reprobate minds and having their conscience seared with a hot iron, catholics turning real bible believing christians into the state for execution, lying signs and wonders, legions of demon possessed child raping pervert priests, false christians yoking up with Rome, pastors selling out their flocks to the queer papists, THE LORD JESUS destroying catholicism and this new homosexual pope in the Lake of Fire. Ye Must be born again, leave Sodom/ Rome, Amen.

i think he will bring new ideas like obama but not the same. He said he wanted to give the church a new outlook. So he is looking for changes. he will move the church in another direction.

The best direction to lead them is out of the cathedral door with a Holy bible given on the way out.

That was an interesting move, picking someone from Argentina. No one is more passionate about Catholicism than the South Americans. I know, because I'm married to one :)

Catholicism is in their blood, it's a major part of their culture, something they partake in as a family, so it's very special to them. South American Catholics are on a way different level than the rest of the world.

Btw, my in-laws' house is filled with paintings of dead saints. My mother in-law lights candles to Mary each day and has a wall with the entire family surrounding a picture of Pope John Paul II :(

It is reported both parents are italian immigrants.

The pope from the new world.

They have a passion for their religion you certainly witness that first hand.

It's the same fanatic thing here in the Philippines, which also had a candidate for the papacy. Similar to Mexico, which is part of north america though. (But possibly more similar to Paraguay, in south america, in a sense, due to the Jesuit influence in both Philippines and Paraguay.) Actually the spanish colony here was administered for centuries from Mexico, until its independence. Anyway, I find most of the cult just as obscene and disturbing in both cases. What gives me relief is the openness for the gospel that I see in both countries.

thats always good. it is hard to break through the catholic power and bring anyone to Christ.. Their tradition is so engrained in peoples minds.. I know people who have come to Christ, and still find it hard to leave the roman church out of fear. it is like a jew in the early church trying to come out of judaism.

This is so true eternally-grateful. I am living in Spain and I've met Christians who still have certain catholic habits because the root of catholicism is still there and they just can't let go. Only the Holy Spirit can root it out.

The pope is of no significance to Christianity other than antibiblical beliefs to where people worship him, and he spent much of his time talking about Mary and how people need to pray to her.
Catholicism is not Christianity. Never has been. Never will be.

That will never happen, and it shouldn't - as the sucessor to St. Peter, being the vicar of Christ is just stating the fact of the title. The Catholic Church recognizes the bible the best, because it was the Catholic Church that put the Bible together. There have been no changed dogmas in the history of the Church. The Holy Spirit is always and will always be with the Catholic Church, as is evident of it's life beginning with Jesus, the authority He handed to Peter, and that authority being kept alive today and forever.
