Interesting donctroversal.

Sorry I can't add to the discussion.

The person who was saying all this used to post a lot
of links to Youtube and it sounded really good.
I wish I could remember the titles.

I kind of hope it's not true because it would mean that Islam
took over, right??

I heard they're pretty tough up there.

What is tragic....this was the first time that she and I have engaged in a non argumentative conversation that was polite and in sincerity!

Sorry, I guess I was tired of listening to you.
I'll give you more leeway next time.

Appreciate the rude response.......going to assume all of your other questions and comments were also sarcastic and rude as well?

Please allow me to teach you a lesson.
This thread is about 4 protestant denominations and any other protestant denominations that fall into the same category as being popeless catholics.
This is what the OP says and I wrote it.
Now I don't understand all the goobly gook you've been talking about, but if it has anything to do with the OP, then I apologize.
Other wise, you have derailed my thread and I think I have the right to set you straight on that.
In which case, your responses to me are the ones that are rude and sarcastic and not mine to you.
If you have nothing to say about the OP, then go start your own thread somewhere and I'll try to remember not to derail it.

Maybe you should read back through....and it is highly unlikely that you can teach me a thing by this post....on at least 4 or 5 of my additions to this thread you liked, responded to in a positive way and even asked a question....so.....as my Australian friends say....whatevzzzz

as far as the rest....threads evolve and this is an open forum...so....don't be so easily offended!

hi AllenW,

you seem like a nice person, and I don't want to take sides here,
but in fairness, your op contained several questions, some of them were pretty broad.

I think it will go on as far as they need it to for their own purposes.
Right now, here by me, it's because there aren't enough priests.
They're very over-burdened. So the talk is that they want the laity to take
over more. Maybe be like mini-Deacons.
To some liturgies, have bible studyies, maybe.
We don't know yet exacly how,
but we here know that it has to happen.

I live in Catholiclandia BTW.
No Protestant churches I could attend.

Fran

FranC......DO you really need those Churches????/ I mean if they are leading people down a rabbit hole; do you jump in a well.

Fair enough Dan, then maybe you can explain to me where in posts #230. #232, #238, and #240 is there any mention of anything remotely related to any of my broad questions in the OP.
And if you can't, then you're speaking through your hat.

Bladerunner,

I don't know too much about the end times.

But I've heard that the Anti-Christ might possibly be coming out
of Mecca.

Have you considered this?
Sorry, I don't know any of the beliefs as to why.

Just thought I'd mention it to those interested in escatology.

Fran
Fran... have heard many things, but the Bible tells us, the Anti-christ will be an Assyrian and will come up out of the bottomless pit. So, he will be akin to a previous ruler. to what extend it does not say. I suspect that the first emperor of Assyria. Nimrod

I am just amazed at what people do here.
I've under attack since this thread started.
For some reason, people think when I mention mainline protestant churches, I'm talking about popes and end times.
Maybe the word popeless isn't in the dictionary so I through everybody off.
I guess that's what happened.
I'm at a loss for words here.
I get in this ugly debate with 2 of you over keeping to the op, and I no sooner get the words down on the forum, and someone else comes along, pushes me to one side, and goes back to end times again.
With all the forums and all the threads and all the topics, you all had to pick mine.

Ugly debate....your post 231 led me to believe you were sincere in asking and to be honest I do not know if I have ever engaged with you before this....I had no problem with you till your mouthy comment which was uncalled for....and then your deception in post 249 sealed the deal.....My first response in this thread you liked and even seemed amicable for a couple posts after that....so..........maybe your having a bad day or something.........who knows....maybe the moon is kilter or you got bag eggs for breakfast.....whatever.....I will bow out now.....peace!

Yeah, right, bow out.
You tell me off real good and then say peace.
I'll be honest with you and say good riddance!

Allen......I understand the this thread is about 4+ protestant denominations, etc. Most all of them have their own doctrine and although some are similar to the RCC, they are different. Because of their differences, the anti-christ, false prophet and other characters and settings of the end times are all going to be different. This is what they/we were discussing.... I will bough out of this thread in case I have summarized it all wrong and have lead you to more confusion..

Before I go, I am from a non-denominational setting where the Bible is read fundamentally and directly with all the 200+ parts of speech used in their appropriate places. There are no doctrine here, simply what (1 Cor 15: 1-4) states and where all those who believe in this Gospel can expect to be while Daniel's (7 years of tribulations) reveal themselves (1 These.4:13-17).

And you too bladerunner sound like you are just looking for an audience.
I've never met so many people who are so needy for someone to talk to.

I'm sorry Allen.
I may have derailed your thread by talking about Catholics.

I thought you wanted to compare the different liturgical rites.

Let this thread to, I guess.

Bladerunner sounds like a nice guy.
Maybe we're just confused??

We're all needy for someone to talk to.
That's why we're here.

I go into the world and there aren't too many who care to talk about God.
So it's nice to come here and do just that.
Even though we may not agree with everyone all the time.

We can still be nice and agree to disagree.
In a nice way.

So. Wanna talk about confession?
Baptism?
Purgatory?

I'm game...
