I've 'seen' that program as well in Canada...in the States here, it is only on rarely

you can't go wrong with scripture and inspirational music with it...these days I prefer instrumental anyway

it's really a shame when you consider the actual good that could come out of representing God's word as He gave it

I've never been one for hoopla and fanfare ... I prefer being grounded and my head on straight :eek:

but I do believe the gifts are for today but as you know, I've outlined some of the reasons so many are turned off

God is no longer bringing any new prophecy. What we had up until the last book ,Revelation. Today for over two thousands years we have the whole or the perfect ending with a warning no to add or subtract in respect to that which is sealed up till the end of time .

Why would a person today even desire to go above that which is written? Is their a law missing by which we could know Him more adequately?

I guess according to the scriptures they are prophets as they operate the voice gifts and do prophesy at meetings.
But apart from that we don't revere them as Prophets.
People take it in turns. Some operate the gift of tongues in the church meeting, others the gift of
interpretation and others prophecy.
Most people who operate the voice gifts speak two of the three gifts.

But as there are nine gifts distributed in the church as needed so there are plenty of gifts and ministries to go around.
