To: Hi, second reply, probably my last for Today Rsanchezhopes

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

So take the rich man and Lazarus for example .
The things The Rich man did while on earth, were bad.
Lazarus was good.

Jesus in his teaching, about life after death, illustrates, their state, ( good or bad )
Hes really not illustrating the appearance of where they are.
Hes illustrating the state of their souls in Paradise . with figurative language after death.

Consider what Christ said the the guy on the other cross beside Him.
Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

( Just to mention this ; don't allow people to give you the " there is a comma there routine ".
In the Greek manuscripts this is translated from, there are no punctuation, so has no bearing on meaning . People have a tendency to change The actual bible, according to a denominational line .)

Speaking of Greek, you're going to have to account what the Greek words are actually, the KJV translators looked at.
Hell, that the rich man is said to be in is actually Hades. Its meaning is only understood by studying How the Bible teaches about Life after Death. No other source .

Hades means, simply, place or state, of departed souls .

The place is paradise. The state, is illustrated by Christ, with a divide between them, and fame .

Christ being The Living water, what was it the Rich man asked of Lazarus ? He asked water, on his touch to cool the flame .

Look at some of the Greek used here. The English just wont do it in this place. So you have to be sure.

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,
and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Torments as used in this verse, is from Greek meaning: Touch Stone .

G931
βάσανος
basanos
bas'-an-os
Perhaps remotely from the same as G939 (through the notion of going to the bottom); a touch stone,
that is, (by analogy) torture: - torment.

When you have a word like touch stone, its an analogy for the kind of torment hes going through.

You have to do some digging, but if i remember, a touch stone was a kind of stone used to test the value of rocks or something for mining precious metals .

Normally , the touch stone is strikes something, and depending on the mark left behind, you could determine then if there is anything of value there.

So, after dying, the Rich mans actions in life, has real consequence, by analogy tried in the fire, and found wanting .
The Rich is naked, to draw on another teaching. Since he is without eternal life, we can draw on Paul's language in 1 Corinthians 15: he is Mortal ( Look up the word Mortal in a Greek Dictionary of the Bible. I means liable to die. )

Since 1 Corinthians 15 is about the end, towards verses 50 and on we can use Revelations language, the rich man is considered Dead. Again Hades in Christs teaching, concerning the Rich man, is about the state of his soul after death.

There was no sleeping or waiting for that to happen. It was immediate.

So that is the initial Judgment after death of both the Just and Unjust.
But is that The Great White Throne Judgment ? No. That happens ONLY at the End of The Lords Day which brings about the Second death ( The soul perishes in the Lake of Fire ) .God being a consuming Fire.

The state of ones soul is taught many places with different language, figures of speech even, and it can be confusing if you're not careful. But its simple because its all teaching the same thing .

Example : 1 Thess 4 :13

Paul opens up the subject addressing those mourning or concerned for the dead Those who have died.
Like the Lazarus, and yes even the rich man They rise first Paul teaches .
Because they died first. Absent from the body present with the Lord .

The bible often uses euphemisms , or figures, to expresses death of the body, even the spiritual state of ones soul.
Sleep is the euphemisms often used for death in the OT and NT . Paul used it to, it simply means to die .
(Its not doctrine of sleeping .) Its used of the good and bad in the OT, even of Jehoiakim ; he had no burial

2 Kings 24:6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

Back to the rich man, and getting a better grasp of what Touch Stone means .

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;
and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire,
that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed,
and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Jesus was addressing Christians in that verse. The kind of Christians towards the end times. So that should be a sobering warning from Christ.

John 8:21
if you do not believe I am HE he shall die in your sins
where I am going you can not come

What was stated by poster otherway210 in her initial post “anyone who dies goes to heaven” is incorrect

revelatuon 20:13
and the sea and hell gave up their dead

What was stated by poster otherwsy210 in his initial post in this forum “no ones been to hell” is incorrect

To: miknik5 ( my last reply ) I don't want to debate or argue .

John 8:21 is the constant message from an evangelist really. Keep Christs Teachings in order and accounted for, like the Lords Day. And When does the Perishing of John 3:16 actually happen ?
When does the Lake of Fire come into being ?

Just don't use john 8:21 to make a point out of context to debate ...

We all will die in our sins, if we follow the ways of the World. We follow Christ, and have eternal life.
Christ is just stating a fact.

miknik5 I'll reply about the rev verse you used . Then i have to call it a day here.

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Given that is about the Lords Day, which is After the Tribulation. The sea are people of the world that took the mark
They are considered "dead" : Use Paul's wording for their spiritual state, which is Mortal. They'r Liable to die in the lake of fire. After they are Judged by their works . Continue reading the chapter.

Remember who has the keys of hell and death ? What happens to people like the rich man? What is actually this divide, its Mortal and Eternal life that divides them .

But for people in that mortal state , to the rich man that divide can even be like a divide of time, between where he is ; to Judgment Day .. And that is the flame and torment he feels Consider, in paradise he sees the Lazarus, and is about to talk with Abraham , but he cant do anything about his own situation at that point its too late .

But the end is not yet .

If hell and death is meant to convey the final destination, why then does both get tossed into the Lake of Fire??? Keep reading the chapter. Just Dont stop at a verse taken out of context to argue .

( here the bible explains water means the people )
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Remember Jesus's warning to the churches. The Whore is not a good sign of whats to come .

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
4 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

oh it isn’t out of context

Jesus addresses those who do NOT believe HIM in John 8

Just as HE gives the opposite message to Peter and those who DO believe in JESUS in John 13 who couldn’t follow HIM now but would later (just as the LORD said and promised in John 13)

two different groups are addressed
ine group will follow HIM and be with HIM

Jus as it is written : absent from the body is present with the LORD (for those he believe(

and and those who don’t believe who do not repent. (Just like the “learned” teachers of the law in John8) can’t

you can read John 8 and John 13 together

in FULL context please

And so what is your stance now?

When anyone dies, they go to heaven
no ones been to Hell

were your two interjections

I hwve provided the scriptures (John 8:21 and Revelation 20:13) which contradicts both these interjections

What is everyones outlook on purgatory? Although this term is a catholic term, In the bible it says we will go through a fire of purification. Does anyone have anymore information on this?
The Bible says no such thing (a fire of purification). The works of Christians will be tried in a metaphorical fire, since they are metaphorically compared to either gold, silver, and precious stones (untouched by fire), or wood, hay, and stubble (burned to ashes).

PURGATORY IS PURE NONSENSE.

PURGATORY IS PURE NONSENSE.
so don’t add anything to THE FOUNDATION
Just as Paul instructed in 1 Corinthians 3 with regard to works being tried in the fire
tjose things added to THE FIUNDATUON are already identified as wood and stubble and never precious gems

because nothing done outside of or added to of CHRIST is identified as precious stones gold or silver

For in fact, what can we do apart from HIM?

Will we we be able to boast in our works?

Depends of which judgment your are talking about. There is one for saints and quite another one for sinners.

The dead "sleep" for what need would there be for a resurrection if dead people were "spirits" or "ghosts"?

Ecclesiastes 9:5, "For the living know that they will die; but the dead do not know anything; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten."

Psalms 115:17, “The dead do not praise Yah, Nor any going down to silence.”

Psalms 13:3, “Look! Answer me, O יהוה my Strength; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep in death.”

Job 14:12, “and man shall lie down and not rise. Till the heavens are no more, they awake not, nor are aroused from their sleep.”

Job 17:13, “If I wait – She’ol is my house, I shall make my bed in darkness."

Job 17:16, Would it sink down into She’ol? Would we together go down into the dust?”"

This is the 1st resurrection

Daniel 12:2, and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence."

1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality. And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to be the word that has been written, “Death is swallowed up in overcoming. O Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your overcoming?”

Mat 24:29-31, “And immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

This shows the 1st anbd 2nd resurrection:

Revelation 20:6-7, “Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of YHWH and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. And when the thousand years have ended, Satan shall be released from his prison.”

Revelation 20:5-6, “But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; on such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of Yahweh and of the Messiah, and will reign with Him a thousand years.”

Revelation 20:12-15, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and She’ol gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. And Death and She’ol were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.a Footnote: aSee Rev 2:11, Rev 20:6, Rev 21:8."20:15, "And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Revelation 21:7-9, “The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Father and he shall be My son. But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.” And one of the seven messengers who held the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and spoke with me, saying, “Come, I shall show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

Revelation 2:10-11, “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, in order to try you, and you shall have pressure ten days. Be trustworthy until death, and I shall give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes shall by no means be harmed by the second death.”

Revelation 20:14-15, “And Death and Sheol were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whoever was not found written in The Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Also the "fires of purification or the rifiners fire" is the trial we endure on earth in the flesh calle life, ending with the return of the Messiah in which the elements will burn up...:

1 Peter 1:6-7, “(Salvation) in which you exult, even though for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by manifold trials, in order that the proving of your belief – much more precious than gold that perishes, and proven by fire – might be found to result in praise and respect and esteem at the revelation of יהושע Messiah.

1 Peter 5:8-11, “Be sober, watch, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in the belief, knowing that the same hardships are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. And the Mighty One of all favor, who called you to His everlasting esteem by Messiah יהושע, after you have suffered a while, Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the esteem and the might forever and ever. Awmĕin.”

Proverbs 17:3, “A refining pot is for silver and a furnace for gold, But יהוה tries the hearts.”

Psalm 11:4, "יהוה is in His holy temple; יהוה throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.”

Jeremiah 9:7, “Therefore thus said יהוה of hosts, “See, I shall refine them, and shall try them, for what shall I do because of the daughter of My people?”

Malachi 3:1-6, “See, I am sending My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. Then suddenly the Master you are seeking comes to His Temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. See, He is coming,” said יהוה of hosts. And who is able to bear the day of His coming, and who is able to stand when He appears? For He is like the fire of a refiner, and like the soap of a launderer. And He shall sit as a refiner and a cleanser of silver. And He shall cleanse the sons of Lĕwi, and refine them as gold and silver, and they shall belong to יהוה, bringing near an offering in righteousness. Then shall the offering of Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim be pleasant to יהוה, as in the days of old, as in former years. And I shall draw near to you for right-ruling. And I shall be a swift witness against the practitioners of witchcraft, and against adulterers, and against them that swear to falsehood, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages and widows and the fatherless, and those who turn away a sojourner and do not fear Me,” said יהוה of hosts. For I am יהוה, I shall not change, and you, O sons of Ya‛aqoḇ, shall not come to an end.”

Zechariah 13:7-9, “O sword, awake against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” declares יהוה of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, and let the sheep be scattered. But I shall turn My hand upon the little ones. And it shall be throughout all the soil,” declares יהוה, “that two thirds therein are cut off and die, and one third is left therein. And I shall bring the third into fire, and refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My Name, and I shall answer them. I shall say, ‘This is My people,’ while they say, ‘יהוה is my Strength.”

Isaiah 48:9-11, “For My Name’s sake I postponed My displeasure, and for My praise I held it back from you, so as not to cut you off. See, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, for My own sake, I do it. For how is it profaned? And My esteem I do not give to another.”

Romans 8:28, “And we know that all matters work together for good to those who love Yah, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Revelation 3:15-18, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘Rich I am, and I am made rich, (Hos 12:8) and need none at all,’ and do not know that you are wretched, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so that you become rich; and white garments, so that you become dressed, so that the shame of your nakedness might not be shown; and anoint your eyes with ointment, so that you see. As many as I love, I reprove and discipline. So be ardent and repent."

Job 23:2-10, “Even today my complaint is bitter; my hand is heavy on account of my groaning. If only I knew where to find Him, I would come to His dwelling-place! I would present my case before Him, and fill my mouth with proofs. I would know the words which He would answer me, and understand what He would say to me. Would He contend with me in great power? No! But He would pay attention to me. There the upright might reason with Him, and I would go safe forever from my Judge. See, I go forward, but He is not; and backward, but I do not perceive Him; to the left where He is working, but I do not see; He turns to the right, but I do not see. For He knows the way that I take. When He has tried me, I would come forth as gold.”

Psalms 66:10-18, For You, O Yah, have proved us; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our loins. You have let men ride at our head; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to plenty. I enter Your house with ascending offerings; I complete my vows to You, That which my lips have uttered And my mouth spoke in my distress. Ascending offerings of fatlings I offer to You, With the incense of rams; I offer bulls with goats. Selah. Come, hear, all you who fear Yah, And I relate what He has done for my being. I called to Him with my mouth, And praise was in my tongue. If I have seen wickedness in my heart, יהוה would not hear.”

Matthew 3:10-12, “And the axe is already laid to the root of the trees. Every tree, then, which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. I indeed immerse you in water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to bear. He shall immerse you in the Set-apart Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He shall thoroughly cleanse His threshing-floor, and gather His wheat into the storehouse, but the chaff He shall burn with unquenchable fire.

1 Peter 4:12-19, “Beloved ones, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that is coming upon you, to try you, as though some unusual matter has befallen you, but as you share Messiah’s sufferings, rejoice, in order that you might rejoice exultingly at the revelation of His esteem. If you are reproached for the Name of Messiah, you are blessed, because the Spirit of esteem and of Yah rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is praised. For do not let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or doer of evil, or as a meddler. But if one suffers being of Messiah, let him not be ashamed, but let him esteem Yah in this matter. Because it is time for judgment to begin from the House of Yah. And if firstly from us, what is the end of those who do not obey the Good News of Yah? And if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where shall the wicked and the sinner appear? So then, those who suffer according to the desire of Yah should commit their lives to a trustworthy Creator, in doing good." Ezekiel 22:18-22, “Son of man, the house of Yisra’ĕl has become dross to Me. All of them are bronze, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace – they have become the dross of silver. Therefore thus said the Master יהוה, ‘Because all of you have become dross, therefore see, I am gathering you into the midst of Yerushalayim. As they gather silver, and bronze, and iron, and lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it, so I gather you in My displeasure and in My wrath. And I shall blow and melt you. And I shall gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so are you melted in its midst. And you shall know that I, יהוה, have poured out My wrath on you.”

continued from above:

Deuteronomy 4:24, “For יהוה your Strength is a consuming fire, a jealous (made zealous) Power."

Zephaniah 1:14-18, “Near is the great day of יהוה, near and hurrying greatly, the noise of the day of יהוה. Let the mighty man then bitterly cry out! That day is a day of wrath, a day of distress and trouble, a day of waste and ruin, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of a shophar and sounding – against the walled cities and against the corner towers. And I shall bring distress on men, and they shall walk like blind men – because they have sinned against יהוה, and their blood shall be poured out like dust and their flesh like dung. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of יהוה. And by the fire of His jealousy all the earth shall be consumed, for He makes a sudden end of all those who dwell in the earth."

Zephaniah 3:8, “Therefore wait for Me,” declares יהוה, “until the day I rise up for plunder. For My judgment is to gather nations, to assemble reigns, to pour out on them My rage, all My burning wrath. For by the fire of My jealousy all the earth shall be consumed.”

Malachi/Malakyah 4:1-4, “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. 2 “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. 3 “And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said יהוה of hosts. 4 “Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings."

Isaiah 24:1-6, "See,
יהוה is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be – as with the people so with the priest, as with the servant so with his master, as with the female servant so with her mistress, as with the buyer so with the seller, as with the lender so with the borrower, as with the creditor so with the debtor; 3 the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for יהוה has spoken this word. 4 The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish. 5 For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torah, changed the law, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

Matt 24:21-2, "For then will be great tribulation, such as has not come to pass since the beginning of the world to this time--no, nor ever will be. And unless those days were shortened, there would no flesh be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened."

Isayah 51:6, “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath, for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth wear out like a garment, and those who dwell in it die as gnats. But My deliverance is forever, and My righteousness is not broken."

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahanan, saw the holy city, YHWH Shammah, coming down from YHWH out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHWH Himself will be with them, and be their Father.

Luke 24:25, "He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!"

2 Peter/Kepha 3, "1 This is now, beloved ones, the second letter I write to you, in which I stir up your sincere mind, to remember 2 the words previously spoken by the set-apart prophets, and of the command of the Master and Saviour, spoken by your emissaries, 3 knowing this first: that mockers shall come in the last days with mocking, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all continues as from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they choose to have this hidden from them: that the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by the Word of Yah, 6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7 And the present heavens and the earth are treasured up by the same Word, being kept for fire, to a day of judgment and destruction of wicked men. 8 But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 יהוה is not slow in regard to the promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of יהוה shall come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with intense heat, and the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up. 11 Seeing all these are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be in set-apart (holy) behaviour and reverence,”

1 Peter/Kepha 1:13-16, “Therefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, set your expectation perfectly upon the favor that is to be brought to you at the revelation of יהושע Messiah, as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance, instead, as the One who called you is set-apart (holy), so you also should become set-apart (holy) in all behavior, because it has been written, “Be set-apart (holy), for I am set-apart (holy).”

2 Peter/Kepha 3:12-18, “looking for and hastening the coming of the day of Yah, through which the heavens shall be destroyed, being set on fire, and the elements melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we wait for a renewed heavens and a renewed earth in which righteousness dwells. So then, beloved ones, looking forward to this, do your utmost to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and reckon the patience of our Master as deliverance, as also our beloved brother Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him, as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless, but grow in the favor and knowledge of our Master and Savior יהושע Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Awmiĕn."

Mattithyah 24:29-31, "Immediately, but after the tribulation of those days will the sun be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His malakim with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of earth to the other."

The dead "sleep" for what need would there be for a resurrection if dead people were "spirits" or "ghosts"?
Not "ghosts" but the souls and spirits of all the saints (OT and NT) are in Heaven with God and Christ (Heb 12:22-14). Since they do not have their glorified bodies, and since it is God's plan for His saints to be perfected in body, soul, and spirit, the saints in Heaven must be resurrected to receive their glorified bodies. Study 1 Cor 15.

You have provided a whole smorgasbord of Scriptures, but none of them support the false doctrine of Purgatory. And that is the issue under discussion.

Yeah none of the verses supporte "purgatory" because "purgatory" does not exist and I was showning Scriptually it is impossible.

Daniel 12:2, and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence."

Purgatory is obviously not found in the bible but I do wonder about a place of holding. In the ot there is mention of Abrahams bosom, a very strange name but is apparently a place of comfort and rest or a place of divine holding, I only found out about Abrahams bosom because of a dream I had in which I was in a place filled with nature and beauty beyond anything you will ever see here and I was playing in a lake of living water with my best friend the holy spirit ( that is actually what I refered him as in the dream) Imagine your own ideas of what heaven would look like and then imagine it being 100 times more vivid and beautiful than anything like it on earth that is basically what I saw as I adore the beauty of nature.

However in the dream wherever I was It did appear to be heaven but I called it a heavenly place like it was indeed heavenly but it wasn't heaven. This is the only thing that makes me think of a sort of holding place. From I understand purgatory is neither a holding place or has anything to do with purification or fiery trials it is apparently a place where you can go to neither heaven nor hell when you die it's more the meh plane of the eternity afterlife just average.

Why would you "wonder about a place of holding" when the New Testament clearly teaches that all the saints who die go directly to be with the Lord? At the same time the unsaved dead go to Hades, are in torment, and then are finally cast into the Lake of Fire.

But now you are promoting another impossibility in that the saints are "sleeping in the dust". Sleeping in the dust is simply a metaphor for the appearance of dead bodies in their graves -- they appear to be sleeping. Therefore those BODIES will "wake up" at the Resurrection. But the souls and spirits of all the saints are in Heaven with God and Christ. See Hebrews 12:22-24, and many other passages. At the Resurrection, bodies will be united with souls and spirits to live with God and Christ for eternity.

WHERE Does it say DEAD PEOPLE the INSTANT they die GO TO YAH UPON DEATH? WHAT NEED OF A RESURRECTION WOULD THERE BE US THEY ARE ALREADY RESURRECTED?

The dead "sleep"

Daniel 12:2, and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence."

Because you claimed something I did not say at first now Im saying something else not possible.. LOL.

Hebrews 12:22-24, "12:22, "But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering,"12:23, "and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,"12:24, "and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel."

SO what are you seeing here?

What is everyones outlook on purgatory? Although this term is a catholic term, In the bible it says we will go through a fire of purification. Does anyone have anymore information on this?
Purgatory is an unbiblical creation of the catholic church. It is a denial of the sufficiency of the atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ to cover our sins.. Thus those who believe in purgatory are not covered by the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ..
