Are we still to put to Death those who commit certain sins?

Leviticus 20:11-13
[SUP]10 [/SUP]‘If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. [SUP]11 [/SUP]If there is a man who lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death, their bloodguiltiness is upon them. [SUP]12 [/SUP]If there is a man who lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have committed incest, their bloodguiltiness is upon them. [SUP]13 [/SUP]If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

God also said to the Israelites that all who don't rest on Sunday they shall be put to death.

I don't think we are to. We are more humane now. Ibdo not think God would want us to kill one other nowadays

So we are free to rewrite the Law?

To make it more 'humane'?

Really?

Or . . . . could it be that the Law is obsolete after the Work of Christ?

The letter to the Hebrews gives us the answer =o).

Yes. Capital punishment has never changed. If one lives(murders) by the sword.......He shall die by the sword.

My sense is that one does not truly know of whose spirit they claim themselves to be of

And these who do not have THE SPIRIT run the risk of misrepresenting THE SPIRIT

OHHHHHHH yes they do if one is trying to follow the law.:)

But Christ paid the death sentence for us. Because they all do deserve a death sentence. And I know you know this.

Is everyone marked by HIS BLOOD?
So you don't think Christ paid for the sins of the whole world? He only died for the elect?

Are you a Hyper-calvinist?

Christ didn't reconcile the WHOLE world to Himself so ALL men have the opportunity for salvation?

IS this what your saying?

Is everyone marked by HIS BLOOD?

-no not everyone

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous
sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

also we read

Ecclesiastes 8:8 (KJV)

There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power inthe day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
