question on revelations 21:8, belivers can go to lake of fire?

revelations 21:8
"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death"

Notice how in addition to this verse saying all unbelivers will go to the lake of fire, it also says the vile, sexually immoral, cowardly, liars, etc. will also be there with them. Does this mean that a beliving liar can go to the lake of fire?(i know this will come up, so no, I am not a liar, or one who practices magic, etc. looking for someone to tell me what I wish to hear)

A person can believe and still never repent of sin. Any sincere believer turns from sin to Jesus' Lordship and lets God help him fix his life, so that in due course he is none of those things. Remember, the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19).

The devils believe and tremble I believe has to do with them believing that God is one (see James) .Of course the devils don't believe that Jesus died for their sins...because He didn't.
I fail to see scriptural proof that Rev 21.8 includes Christians who are now His sons through regeneration.

1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Simply put NOW we are ALL in the fire. That which is not eternal will pass away leaving only that which cannot be moved.

Abraham was a child of the promise. HOWEVER he was also a child of the flesh, the difference being the sign of the circumcision (symbolically putting off the flesh). In the flesh, Abraham was a liar and a coward!

David being a child of promise was a man after God's own heart, BUT IN THE FLESH he was a murderer!

Those who however take part in the first resurrection will not hurt by this second death, having again the sign of circumcision.

Likewise, whomever you are, YOUR BODY OF SINS will be cast into the lake upon death never to rise again.

...... My dad died some years back.... And it hurt as death reached my immediate family for the first time.

It was the last "church" service I attended, and I stood there in front of the people honoring his memory. And I tried to talk about the man I knew here as my father, and as my eyes began to water and my words turned to weeping, I was incapable of speaking....

Death had hurt me... It had took from me the one man I would call father. Now he was no saint, but he was good to me!

I was a babe then... But as God wiped my tears that day, He showed me a truth that I WILL NEVER let a man take from me! That if WE, being evil know how to give good gifts to OUR children, then HOW MUCH MORE OUR FATHER in heaven!

I know now that the man who I knew IN THE FLESH, I will never know again! Although he was good to his children, he was to the world no saint. For that body was cast into the lake!

He is now a new creature, with a name no man knows! He is no longer my dad, but my brother, whom I love dearly.

Holding on to this life, you will lose it. So it is with that, that we should not expect to see mom or dad, sister our brother , uncle or aunt. These will pass away into the lake as well. We have ONE Father, and we are ALL brothers and sisters!

That was so Beautiful, and so heart felt, why can't everyone see things like this. I am crying tears, and I don't know if it's because I'm sad for those who can't see it this way, or because I rejoice with you in your understanding, maybe both.

I think the lake of fire is what we experience each time we sin.

The fire only burns things of the flesh, "not" the things that are born of The Spirit.

Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Some will say that a lying believer will inherit the kingdom of God. In fact, no matter what sin a believer commits (stealing, adultery, you name it), they will make it to Heaven. Such belief implies that believers have a license for immorality, which is an outright contradiction to the word of God and downplays the seriousness of sin.
If a believer continues in sin, fails to heed to chastening, and die in that unrepentant state, they will end up in the Lake of Fire with non-believers. God is no respecter of persons.

If a believer commits adultery tomorrow he/she will become an adulterer and what does the bible say about adulterers? 1 Cor 6:9-11
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Rev 3:4-5
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Only those who do not defile their spiritual garments will inherit the kingdom.

'is passed' perfect tense meaning a past completed action with continuing results

only thing is that that judgement seat is not the white throne judgement but rather the Bema seat, a place of rewards and loss of rewards. Still, no condemnation for those who have placed child like faith in Jesus.

White is the color for The Righteousness of God, which is His Christ.
