chris his message goes beyond just "repent"

it continues to say lies about others that are unnecessary.

if all his message was "repent" than I would not have issue with him. but its not.

Hey, Tommy! :D

You said once that Jesus came to Earth to be an "example" of how to live a sinless life. Was that His only purpose?

You also said that you kicked your porn addiction on your own, without God's help! What do you think of the verse that says "apart from Me, you can do nothing"?

You also talk a lot about how you pursue righteousness. Does righteousness come from obeying God's law?
Wow some of you need to get over yourselves..like now.
I do not necessarily agree with all things that Tommy4christ says..but much of it I do.
He believes in living for God,and does not make grace an excuse to not live a life that shows the fruit of repentance, others here say you can live your life however, and STILL be born again? How?

No one here that i have seen has claimed to kick any habit apart from God, just because one does not excuse things in the name of grace, and hides behind cheap grace..does not mean they say they did anything apart from God. It's called human responsibility,it cannot be made separate from true grace. Any other 'form of grace' is a cheapened lie..its not grace, it runs the risk of being licentiousness or very close to it.

Clarification, I think you are saying I am being prideful because I said I stopped my addictions before I was granted mercy from God, or as you said polclick, I kicked the habit on my own, which I made the choice to yield to the word of God, and the power of His convicting spirit, which I knew I had to do my part and stop my vile rebellion against God. So yes I did STOP all known vile sins, made amends where I could, and never took this mercy for granted! Did I boast that I did it on my own? hardly, yes the stopping was proof of my repentance, but that was just the beginning as the spirit filled me, and now gives me the power to walk a walk worthy of my calling, keeping the flesh dead to sin(willful rebellion) and alive to God!

I guess the issue is..here many got selective reading, they will add to what you say..and say since you preach repentance, which is a turning away from..not towards sin..that you are pridefull. I guess many of these sadly only want to quote certain scriptures and avoid what the very thing Jesus said, which was to go and sin no more..and to stop sinning(stop living it,practicing it as a sport till you become proficient at it)
Some want both, they want one foot in the world, and one foot in the faith..it does not work that way. And if some choose to become offended by this, I am not here to make everyone like me, I would like it if they did..but that's not Jesus said would happen. Be encouraged, there are some who do not forsake repentance for this 'other gospel' of false grace. Keep on,and keep up the good work..regardless of what some here advocate, or the accusatory remarks they say.

You won't be the only one, that is 'reporting'
Zone..you will be reported for your own 'heresies' including the thinking you have the gift to see who is a sinner and who is a saint. Yes, you have been called out,and starting today..you've been reported.

Others may look away..I will not.

I agree that lying (libels :) ) and false accusations should not be a part of any one's communication. That is something we can all agree on.

And see how the discord of claiming each other to be from Satan has caused every one on the ready to report each other for speaking what they understand from Scripture. Down with isms and trust God to teach you.

Part of the reason God made His Word inconclusive (that's a bad word to use but it's good for illustration) is so we WOULD talk and discuss and review and meditate on it like He said to. If God wrote the Bible like Dr Seuss wrote the Cat in the Hat we'd have a whole lot less to interact with each other about. Mining God's Word was meant to be a lifetime endeavor. If we get all the answers the moment we're born there is no reason continually go back to it for learning and growth.

I like trolls/heretics/turd stirrers here because they give us reason to revisit, ponder, meditate, and learn from the Word as much as truth bearers do. The only WRONG posting here are the ones that say 'that's the way it is and I'm not wrong'. Without a willingness to be wrong there is no learning.

Tommy gets some scriptures right. He also gets some wrong. But hey, WE ALL do that. If we didn't these would be silent and empty pages.

Those who would gag those who show human failings are at the hight of arrogance.

i'll pm you the email for the kid who is considering something bad.
after reading how he has to repent for 20 years and purify himself before God will consider him for salvation.
he's not even sure what sin is...but he's convinced he'll never be worthy of Grace now.

you can deal with it. email him Wesley - tell him to pray for a Second Blessing.

something....but do it quick.

i'll go have fun on other threads.
i'm done.

POPLCLICK: "You also said that you kicked your porn addiction on your own, without God's help! What do you think of the verse that says "apart from Me, you can do nothing"?"
Really? Like you think God would help a guy sin??? You grossly misunderstand that scripture if that is what you think it means. God ALLOWS us to sin, but He does NOT HELP us sin. We have the right to choose and so yes, one can choose porn all on their own (well, the devil has a hand in it to be sure) and God will allow them to reap the consequences of that choice.

Miss Maggie,

I think you misunderstood what POPCLICK said. He was saying that no one can stop sinning without God's help. (not pro or con, just explaining)

Gnostics had the belief that God had a dual nature? Since when? Gnostics believed anything physical was sinful, so having 'their' Jesus be God/Man wouldn't have served their purposes.
