I believe it is the lamb. On the first Passover night the Israelites were instructed to slay an unblemished lamb and sprinkle its blood on their door post so that the angel of death, who was to kill the firstborn in Egypt, will pass over their home. Jesus fulfilled the Feast of Passover by becoming the Paschal Lamb paying the ultimate sacrifice for sin (1 Cor 5:7b), and those covered by His atoning blood are under the umbrella of God's blessing, they are redeemed from sin and have eternal life, and are safe and secure in Him. All glory to the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world. :)
