For those who are interested , there are a couple of important points I need to make .

True pisteuo , or the true application of Faith , ( faithing ) is a continual , daily , surrendering of our lives to Him , and making all those many daily decisions that tell God we really have Surrendered our life and will to Him , or are still serving ourselves . Two distinct , and important points to make part of your bone marrow . And just like the priests under penalty of death had to trim the wicks and fill the oil to overflowing in the temple every day , we to begin every day with the choice to serve Christ or ourselves .

Also , a surrendered life , is no different than a surrender on a battlefield . When we surrender , we are a slave to the one we have surrendered to . If we fulfill pisteuo or faithing , and have any expectation of anything in return for such surrender, that isn't a surrender , but a business deal or some kind of vending machine process . Very important !

I already knew that the word faith is faithfulness, obedience, firmness, steadfastness in some places.

But finally we are getting somewhere! Spirit of Christ is received through repentance and faith is what you are saying? RECEIVING the word, surrendering your life.
Thanks now we know what you believe.
What I'm saying is we receive the Spirit of Christ by Grace through Faith . And that the true understanding of how Faith is applied , the verb form pisteuo has been lost to time because the English language has no word to translate it .

And one of the points I made being at the beginning stages of the Salvation process , God's Word is not ours to claim yet , so " believing " and then recieving His Spirit is a wrong path on many levels . This is the wakeup call , hope it helps you and others .

So, you're here to offer "the" wakeup call? How humble of you.

People have to agree with everything you say before you move on to offering more of a muddled and distorted gospel?

You are one confused and pretentious individual, sir.

I only discuss God's Word with those who have shown the necessary understanding of how one faithes into Christ .

I camp outside of Christ at the very beginning of the Salvation process , trying to shine a light on the stumbling block of " believe and recieve " , or what I think is the wide path Christ warns us about .

As you would guess , I get alot of push back from doing this , until your post I hadn't been called one offensive name . I was thinking how nice it is to be able and share my understandings without all the misrepresentations and name calling . What you called me is really nothing compared to what I've been called by others . I still like the tone of this site for the most part , but I've only been here for two days .

I hope you'll be able to look past this mared vessel and talk about the facts I'm presenting for the building up the body of Christ .

I didn't call you anything, I described your behavior, but perhaps you cannot see it.

This also, you only wish to talk with anyone who agrees, will ask you questions &c as if you're an expert on soteriology. If anyone disagrees or doesn't accept your teaching, you are outright rejecting their involvement by making a point to say they shouldn't involve themselves, in so many words.

That is cult like thinking.

You've also offered "the" wakeup call as if only you have an understanding of salvation and that those who have "believed and received" are on the "broad road" i.e. going to hell.

And then you want to act humble and offended when challenged.

Now, agree with me here, then we can move forward to the next step.

See? No?

In the other thread "Rom. 8:9 and the Salvation journey " we were able to establish a starting point at the beginning of the Salvation process . At that starting point we agreed that as the result of not having been given the Holy Spirit yet , Christ , His Word , and the promises there in are not ours yet either .

In this thread , part two of the Salvation journey , we will attempt to agree on the next step of this journey , and the state in which we are in at that point . This is a simple step , so i hope we can come to a quick agreement and move onto the next step , or drag it out for another 3 pages . If I can't get at least one person to agree with the understanding I'm presenting , I'll stop at that point .

Step two is the act of " repentance " . This act of repentance is simply a turning from , to . Repentance is turning of our mind from our way , to His way . Or also can be understood , as a turning from our way to the direction of the one calling us , the Father to Christ .

1) this act of repentance " is not " an act of Faith that would result in recieving the Spirit of Christ .

2) at this point in the Salvation process , still have not received the Spirit of Christ . So Christ , His Word , and the promises in His Word are not ours yet .

Are we still in agreement ?

Here would be my take on Ordo Salutis, (order of salvation) biblically speaking:

Scripture does not make this that complicated as witnessed in the above (although the Gospel is great in its depths!) A real journey of salvation that is biblical would be contained in the book "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan. Excellent allegory and read on the Christian life.

I'm not going to sit here and say anyone who has believed/received, received/believed is on the broad way as the OP suggests, nor be coy about the whole thing until others agree step by step.

See? No?

I put my understandings on the table to be tested by others , and I hope that someone can show a better understanding of Christ and the Salvation journey so I may know Him better .

All I ask is that if someone disagrees with an understanding , they replace it with a better one . I know it's alot to ask someone to agree with something they don't want to , being it undermines their current understandings , but that's where we see how honest people are with themselves and others . That's why I liked Luigi's replies last night , I could tell he was willing to put his current understandings at risk to possibly know Him better .

But most of the time people just get upset and not being able to replace their disagreement with a better understanding , resort to name-calling and misrepresentation as you seem to be doing .

I'd rather discuss the facts I've gone out of my way to put in front of you . Are you capable of being honest with yourself ?

You've allowed no such testing and are not open to someone showing you any better, that and you are vague, coy, and others have to agree before you move on.

Your behavior is cult like as seen above and in your stating those who believe and receive are on their way to hell. I don't believe you're capable of being honest with yourself.

Ok , this what I've presented .

Rom. 8:9 tells us that if we do not have the Spirit of Christ , Christ is none of ours . I say , that if the Spirit of Christ , and Christ are not ours , then His word and the promises in His word are not ours either . I'm asking if you agree with this , and that we all begin our Salvation journey in this state of being ?

If you disagree , please explain .

Paul is contrasting those who are lost with those who are saved, 8:8 shows this, and so does the rest of the context. It isn't speaking of where a person is on their journey to salvation whatsoever, therefore your usage is incorrect.

Also, it doesn't say "Christ is none of ours," you have that completely backwards. It says we are none of His ("does not belong to him.") You're backwards on that which is a huge error, you have the text wrong, the context wrong, and therefore your meaning is incorrect.

Now, agree and we can move forward, i.e. admit your errors so we can proceed.

Ok let's try this another way . Do we have the Holy Spirit sealed inside us before repentance ?

Nope. You have some errors that need correcting. We'll start there first:

You said you were here to learn, I've shown you your errors. Accept and correct your errors, humbly, and admit them then we can progress.
