Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

So if you add to the same the plagues in the book would be added to him

Rev 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

And if you take away from anything in the book God will take away his part in the book of life, and holy city and things written therein

Which would then mean not being found in the book of life for doing just that right?

Which in turn would land whosover did such a thing here, no?

Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Just want to be sure.

yes. ((realize that "doing just that" may have other direct differences as in character -- the character of someone who could add to or take away from GOD'S WORD is entirely different than the character of those of us abiding in Christ Jesus who cannot add to nor take away from GOD's WORD... ))

Well when it says this book it's only talking about the book of revelations, the rest of the bible is free to tamper with. All was separate books before it was the bible.

So just a warning don't change the book of revelations,

Thank you Jeff_56

I dont believe such a one would be an overcomer since he that overcometh's name
would not be blotted out of the book of life

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,

but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Would seem to me to these would fear to do something like that given the consequences,
whereas others might not fear to do so.

From the other thread,

Phil 4:3
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel,
with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers,
whose names are in the book of life.

Paul says their names are written in the book of life

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,

but I will confess his name before my Father
, and before his angels.

That he will not blot your name out (and Rev 13:8 & 17:8) written in from the foundation of the world

Rev 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life,
and out of the holy city, and
from the things which are written in this book.

The warning in relation to his part in the book of life

All I am pretty sure of is that when the Nicene creed was worded, saying they accepted the Bible as it was, with no changes or additions, the book of Revelation was NOT even included.

So just in Revelation?

Wouldn't it apply to all prophecy throughout the entire Bible?
God wouldn't confuse us like that, would He?

Daniel is okay to do such.....but Revelation is off limits?

You're on to something.
.....methinks it applies to who should teach or who shouldn't.

Gotta keep a perfect flow through the Word, wouldnt you agree?

My question is the OP, the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy

Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Proverbs 30:6
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Praise the Lord, and thanks, for the addition of scripture, much appreciated.

I can always count on you for a great response when it come to the words of God

I see scripture only....by you and ISIT?
I thought the point of this forum is to explain how YOU see it?
I know how l read it, l don't know how you see it.

....because ISITs post above is saying quite a bit to me...yet, lm puzzled as to why He ,as a teacher, doesn't fall into it like the rest of us?

You two give opinions all of the time, just like us?

But DH...why start a thread for others to join...when you are only...you and ISIT...are only going to say others are liars but you two
. Its like your sitting in front of a dress up mirror...inviting friends to come, yet you keep the mirror to urself.
Threads like this should be a blog. You and in a Spirit could start a blog..if you think, only your opinion is true :)

God's words should be enough, and who said I was a teacher? Jesus said call no man teacher, rabbi, or Master, and all we are brethren. Let the words of God be true, for many a men are found to be liars.
