Don't mean to impose, (I know this is the obvious to come, but not to others) Not only do we have to have faith, but its our obedience. Noah had Faith that is was God talking to Him, AND Noah was obedient to the word of God(spoken). Noah could have had faith and not obeyed however, and he would have died along with the rest of the world.

And that is why it is important that we have the testimony of the inspired scriptures that has been written down to teach us the importance of the obedience of faith (Rom 16:25,26).

Holy Spirit comes to testify about the Son, just as the Son testified about the Father.

He will not contradict the Word of God, but He might contradict our interpretation of It.

Jesus told us that the Pharisees searched in vain for eternal life, because they point to Him who is Eternal Life.

I believe we need both Scripture and Spirit to reveal each other. But the Bible is very clear that we are now taught by the Spirit Himself, but the Scriptures are good for instruction and introduction!
