God's Blessing to you all my good friends! Happy Sabbath to you all! (my time). To him who loves us and is not willing that any should perish and that all should come to know Jesus who loved us and washed us in His own Blood. My His name be forever blessed. We only love Him because he first loved us. We can only find him when we search for him with all of our heart through His Word. That is where you will find Jesus and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

God bless you

Grace777,

I really worry about you. You always like to cut and paste the same old things but do you really think they are biblical because you find them on some website that supports what you believe? We have had many conversations already. Why is there so many scriptures that go against your interpretation of God's Word? Does this not worry you and lead you to think that maybe your understanding of God's Word is not correct and that you could be building on sifting sand? All the scriptures in God's Word in both the Old and New Covenant are in harmony with each other. They both witness to each other. God's Word is perfect and does not contradict itself. If you find yourself in conflict with scriptures that are not according to your interpretation or understanding this should be a warning to you.

Would you like to talk about what you have just said above and share scriptures from God's Word? I will ask you some questions so I do not have any misunderstanding of what you are saying ok?

Who is a Jew in God's Word?

Who is Israel in God's Word?

What is the Old covenant ?

What is the New Covenant?
I told you too that I worry about your Judaizing and perverting the gospel of the grace of God in Christ but trying to tell Christians they need to be following the Sabbath as outlined in the Old Covenant and that if they don't - they are sinning and dis-obeying God.

That is an anti-Christ belief no matter how you try to "bewitch" others into believing it.

I also told you numerous times that people are free in Christ to observe any day or festivals as they wish as they are mere shadows of the real thing which is Christ Himself.

Colossians 2:16-17 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day—

[SUP]17 [/SUP] things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

I don't usually get into further interaction with Judaizers that pervert the gospel of the grace of Giod in Christ by saying that Christians who don't follow the Sabbath as outlined in the Old Covenant are sinning and dis-obeying God.

I post the same things because it is the word of God and just because I don't fall for your spiritual manipulation of saying that I don't believe the word of God or that I don't love Jesus because I believe in your perversion of the gospel.

You say that you and your sects way of exchanging Christ for the keeping of the law is believing the word of God and I told you before - that I don't fall for this type of witchcraft - it's a work of the flesh.

Galatians 3:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

[SUP]2 [/SUP] This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

The Jew is someone born from Abraham's loins.

The true Israel are those born of the Spirit of God - the new creation in Christ. Gal. 6:15-16

The Old Covenant is what God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai and it includes the 10 commandments and it is NOT LIKE the New Covenant and it is a goner for those in Christ.

The New Covenant is believing in Christ for salvation and NOT by following the law. The law is NOT of faith.

The saints have been warned about this Judaizing behavior and the Holy Spirit will reveal Christ to them. God bless you and I will leave you in the hands of our Lord.

Titus 3:9 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

To those that wish to observe the Sabbath as in from Friday night to Saturday that know that Christ alone is the real Sabbath rest and that the Old Covenant way of observing it is a type or shadow of the real thing which is Christ Himself - to those - I say "happy Sabbath".

To those that are seduced and deceived by the Judaizing spirit that say Christians are sinning and dis-obeying God if they don't follow the Old Covenant way of observing the Sabbath - to those I boldly proclaim Christ so that the truth of the gospel would remain with the saints just like Paul said to the Galatians.

the children were freed by Grace. they passed through the blood on the doorpost, next morning they walked out free. the red sea, manna, grouse,
water, defeating all would come against them,

a cloud by day fire by night, God poured his Grace on them. they were free, but were not FREE INDEED.

They moaned and complained. nothing made them happy. God supplied all of their needs. WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED

Moses told the children if they would listen to the commands of God he would take care of them.

Keep in mind moments earlier they were slaves. they couldn't even feed themselves.

they answered with the most misunderstood words in the bible.
ALL THAT YOU COMMAND WE CAN DO.

because of that one proud self aggrandizing statement the law was given.
no one not now and cerrtainly not then could do what God commanded.
Jesus did. The sabbath is the law and the law brings death that by itself should be enough. if you follow the sabbath then you follow the law and you have fallen from Grace.

Hi Grace777,

There is no need for me to respond to anything else in your posts as I have already responded to everything with God’s Word (1166, 1168, 1209, 1218, 1369, 1743, 1745 and 1748). You are just repeating yourself. Sadly you ignored these posts with all of the Words of God present. Neither have you responded to anything there.

I believe also that there is a false Gospel being preached by many people and this is a Gospel that tries to separate God’s Law from the Cross of Christ. As mentioned in earlier posts to you. Without God’s Law there is no knowledge of sin because sin is the transgression of God’s Law (1John 3:4; Rom 3:20). If we have no knowledge of sin we have no need of a Saviour. If we have no Saviour we have no salvation. If we have no salvation we are lost. “For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.” (Rom 2:12).

It is only by the Law of God that we can see ourselves as we really are; sinners in need of salvation. It is only here that we can cry out “Lord save me”. It is only here that we can hold on to the Word of God by faith that God can work his work in us who believe. God’s Law is what brings the sinner to Christ. The counterfeit Gospel seeks to do away with God’s Law to give people the same belief as devils but we all know they will not be saved will they. (James 2:18-19)

If you choose the teachings of men over the Word of God this is between you and God. Please work out your own salvation with fear and trembling knowing if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day (John 12:47-48).

Are you saying that because I am saved by grace, adn I am, that I am now free to be disobedient? That is a perverse thought and worse as a practice.

Anyone who has heard and udnerstood dJesus knows what being free is, and it is certainly not free to disobey God.

the children were freed by Grace. they passed through the blood on the doorpost, next morning they walked out free. the red sea, manna, grouse,

89 pages of arguing about one day of the week.

Muslims have friday, Jews have saturday, Christians have sunday.

Religion is big on days it seems.. and funny hats! A lot of religions have funny hats, Jews got those black hairy hats, muslims got the kofia, the Pope has that nice golden cap, and I presume the Eastern Orthodox bishops have their own fancy hats?

So if you want to join a religion, remember to have a calendar with you, and get yourself a funny hat of some sort, but do not get a hat from the opposite religion that you hold, that would be awkward!

If you want to keep all days Holy however, rest in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ and experience the fulfillment of the shadow, the true Sabbath rest.

When any post piques my desire to share what I have been blessed to understand, I share it. Also this particular post on the subject may be 89 pages, but there are hundreds, perhaps thousands more onthe subjec in varied historic posts.

Yes Moslems have Fride, Jews the Seventh Day, and many Christians, the vast majority, have Sunday for their individual days of worship,

The point being made by those who read and believe the Word is quite simple. The Sabbath of the Lord is the Seventh Day as designaated by our Father. Those who have changed teh Seventh to the first day are just that, thsoe who have exchanged God's Word fo that of man and his tradition taught as written in stond.

Here is the point overlooked b most in the thread. For me, and others who acceptt he gift of the Seventh Day as from the Father, we do not reserve that day for worship. You see all who love Jesus Christ worship Him every day, the Seventh day is just a gift.

I hope the next post is not going to be hwo no one ob serves the Sabbath of God according to teh law, because this too has been explained. We are free of the curse of teh law by Jesus Chrst, so when we observe any day it is according to Jesus Christ.

Many cannot grasp this. I pray all have a blessed Sabbath today and those who observe it tomorrow, tomorrow, in Jesus christ, amen.

PS...no ne is arguing, simply attmpting to edify with patince inlongsuffering whennecessary, as we are taught to do.

PS 111:10.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that
do His Commandments: His praise endureth for ever.

PHI. 4:7.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.

COL. 2:6-7.
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him:

Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as you have been taught,
abounding therein with thanksgiving.

The law in Ps 111:10 is referring to the law of Christ Himself in the New Covenant because Jesus said that all the law and the prophets speak of Him.

Of course we know what the "do His commandments" are in the New Covenant as John tells us exactly what they are.

1 John 3:23-24 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

[SUP]24 [/SUP] The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

They are NOT what is in the Old Covenant because if people are "to do God's commandments" from there - they need to be stoning those people that don't keep the Sabbath as outlined in the law.

They would also need to make sure nobody works inside their city limits during the Sabbath, they would have to congregate in Jerusalem during the feasts, they would have to have a standing temple to perform rituals and sacrifices.
Of course most say this is done away with Christ, but then why "keep the law"?

It just does not make much sense nor is it very practical.

There are many things we can disagree on, but salvation is not one of them. The Gospel of Grace must be preached or it is no gospel at all.

I agree and it can be a complete waste of time to interact with these types that are attempting to pervert the gospel of the grace of God in Christ's finished work- as they constantly see the word "law" and equate that to the Old Testament and thus are exchanging Christ for the carnal keeping of commandments instead of the spiritual usage and fail to rely on Christ Himself.

They will keep you in constant going back and forth by perverting scriptures to make it seem that we Christians are dis-obeying God and sinning by not following the shadow of things from the Old Testament like they do. This is a Judaizing spirit and it is anti-Christ to the core.

This is why Paul said to avoid strivings and disputes about the Law as they are completely unprofitable.

We preach Christ and that He is the Way, the Life, The Truth. He alone is our righteousness and sanctification, our wisdom and our only redemption.

Titus 3:9 (NASB)

Jesus' precious sacrifice' stands at the top of the line for most of us who Love/Serve Him -
The Ten Commandments were given to us in order for us to stay and walk with Him
in all of our 'called-lives', for they were written upon God's Heart, long before they
were given to us through His Holy Spirit...

first of all, Jesus mentions several of The Commandments personally, and also,
'He tells, if you LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS', and it is evident, that
the TEN are His own, created just for us, for, 'all things were made by Him and for Him,
MARK 10"19..
Thou knowest the Commandments,
Do not commit adultery,
Do not kill, Do not steal,
Do not bear false witness,
Defraud not,
Honour thy father and mother..
these are our Holy Saviour's Words, put out of His own mouth!, are people actually believing
that He is 'NULLIFYING/TAKING BACK' what He has just preached???
and telling everyone that they ONLY have to OBEY (2) of The Holy Commandments???

JOHN 1:3.
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

MATT. 5:17. JESUS' WORDS:
Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the prophets,
I Am not come to destroy, but to fullfil = perfect.

Unfortunately you are missing the important "context" of Jesus saying to "keep the commandments" in Mark 10 to the rich ruler.

The question as asked "What must "I do" to inherit the kingdom of God?"

Jesus gave him the law of Moses to expose his need for a Savior.

The law always condemns us that think we can "do the commandments". That is one of it's purposes - to lead us to Christ Himself.

The truth is that the rich ruler actually broke the very first commandment because he had his riches as his "god" - even though it his own mind he had kept them from his youth up. Jesus showed him that he had NOT kept the law as he had thought.

Mark 10:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]
As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do toinherit eternal life?"

Is that what we tell people now in the New Covenant when they say "What must I do to be saved?" Of course not.

Acts 16:30-31 (NASB)
[SUP]30 [/SUP] and after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

[SUP]31 [/SUP] They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."

Notice that in the New Covenant the answer is "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ "- not the keeping of the 10 commandments.

It is vitally important to get the gospel of the grace of God in Christ correct.

The true Christian has died to the law, been released from the law "so that" we could be joined to Another - to Him - Christ Himself and we not under the law but under grace only.

Your a funny one Grace777.

You quote 1John 3:23-24 to try and say to the previous poster that God's Law is not being referred to? Yet in the same Chapter it is clearly referring to God's Law

1Jo 3:3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1Jo 3:4, ¶ Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1Jo 3:5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1Jo 3:6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jo 3:8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jo 3:9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jo 3:10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his neighbor

Jesus is quoting from the old testament when summing up God's Law

Mat 22:37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38, This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40, On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

You do know that Jesus is quoting from the old testament don't you about loving God and our neighbor? (Lev 19:18; Deut 6:5) and referring to God's 10 commandments. Because it is only through love that is the fulfilling of God's Law in the New Covenant promise, which is an operation of God in us.

You clearly do not know God's Word my friend. I told you I worry about you. I suggest you read 1John Chapters 1-5. These are all talking about God's Law (the 10 commandments).

Everything Jesus Christ teaches is the Godpel, His. Some folks are so foolish as to claim His early teaachings were only for the Jews. In a sense they are correct if they understand all who believe Him a the true Jews.

He did not waste any word when He gave them to all the prophets to write down, nor does He wast any words in teaching all for the sake of their salvation.

As Jesus teaches, any who teach against the least of these laws will be least in heaven, and I tell you that will be an eternal condition.

Now, to understand how teh commanments are to be understood, we must all learn from teh Author of all that is. If He declared He was not here to abolish the law but to fulfill it, then by all means learn what He has taught completely on teh subjet, and do not claim to have authority to abolish or rescind any one law until you understand how it is to be viewed through Christ's eys by His teaching and His Example.

When in doubt any would obey, but many know more than our Lord does it seems, and this should nott be the sensation when sharing the Word, for Jesus Christ is the Word, amen.

I love it when I get the opportunity to proclaim the gospel of the grace of God in Christ's work. Thank you Lord Jesus!

We don't need to live by the moral code in the law of Moses which says in Lev. 18:23 to not have sex with a animal. The law of Christ Himself , the law of love, the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus will stop this.

People often say to those that speak of the grace of God and that they are not under the law of Moses including the 10 commandments anymore that they believe they are without "laws" now.

We do have laws in the New Covenant.

They are exciting laws that bring life and wholeness to us all - because these are all Christ Himself in us.
Jesus fulfilled the law. The law was a mere shadow of the real thing which was Jesus.

Read the law to see Jesus in it and to know that Jesus did that for us and His life in us now leads us in all things. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

We now live by:

1) The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. ( Romans 8:2 )

2) The law of love ( Romans 13:10 James 2:8 )

3) The law of faith ( Romans 3:27 and the law of Moses is NOT of faith - Gal. 3:12 )

4) The law of liberty in Christ Jesus ( James 1:25 )

5) The law of Christ - which is Christ Himself in us. ( Gal. 6:2 )

We can trust the Holy Spirit and the life of Christ Himself in us to lead us in all affairs of life. We don't go back to the law of Moses that were a shadow of the real thing which is Christ in us..
Jesus is more then enough.

Yes...we glory in the laws that we have in the New Covenant because they are all Christ Himself living in and through us. ( Gal.2:20 and Col. 3:3 )

Get this wrong and we create a religion which really nullifies the grace of God from operating in our lives like it was meant to.

Galatians 5:22-23 (NASB)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

[SUP]23 [/SUP]
gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Hi Grace777

The problem is you are not proclaiming the Gospel of Christ because you are trying to separate God's Law from the Cross of Christ. I don't think you should have sex with animals, the same as we should not kill, the same as we should not steal. If you are doing any of these things you and not living by God's Word you do not know God.

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1John 2:3-4).

Amen...Love those scriptures.

John told us exactly what the commandments are in the New Covenant and they are in his letter in 1 John 3:23.
