Lets say that somebody lived an ungodly life full of sin and on there deathbed, seconds before they die, they repent.

Will they still be saved or condemned?

Idk but to me I think they would still becondemned because the only fruit they had to bare & show for in there whole life was corrupt. Plus Jesus might tell them Matthew 7:21-23 but I could be wrong. What's your take/bibles take?

God saves who ever he wants to save is my take. Jesus gave a parable of workers who worked all day and those who worked but a few minutes all received the same pay.
God please save everyone in Jesus name. Amen

What do we say about the thief that was crucified next to Jesus?

One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, "Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!" But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise." - Luke 23:39-43 NASB

I believe they would be saved. If someone is truly sorry for their sins, how can God turn them away? Jesus died for everyone. Doesn't matter how or when you came to know Christ, God welcomes all who have said the sinner's prayer.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." - Romans 10:9

our salvation is not a result of our fruit but rather our fruit is a product from our salvation.

childish question, the first one saved was very such person - repented criminal. Yet not everyone is so lucky (to be crucified together with living God). The door of repentance is always opened, cause all the ever truly repented sins of humankind was taken by Christ in the time of crucification (in the mystery of restoring peace beetwen man and God), and had been eleminated by His death.

The question is how many such repented sinners will be found among saved brethren???

I believe he will save.
Salvation is by faith not by work.

Yes there is correlation between salvation and good work, in the sense that Jesus manifest in that person and produce good deed. But this person which accept the Lord a second before he die, doesn't have time to show his good deed.

He has good deed, and it is love. A minute person invite Jesus in his heart, he produce love instantly.

A thief in the right of Jesus believe in Him, and we can see the product and his product is love.

What is love, it is describe in I Cor 13, Love is just.

This men said, it is fair if they put us to dead, but this man doing nothing wrong.

We can see the thief protest injustice mean he want justice. In other worth Love does not delight in evil but rejoice the the truth.==> Love rejoice justice. And salvation produce love or good work.

I Corinthian 13:6

6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7

First, realize their very conversion on their deathbeds is a good work. Just as we look at the Good Thief on the cross, he does three good works before his death. He rebukes a sinner, confesses his sin, and proclaims Jesus as a King and as God. Not only does he have faith, but it immediately produces the works of God that can only be produced once we submit our will to the Lord.

Most but not all who consider deathbed conversions will plead with God not for forgiveness of sin but for additional breath to live in this life.

I have met and witnessed to men who have told me they wanted to wait that they might enjoy their sin to the last moment before converting. Sadly God is not mocked by such contentions but these make a mockery of themselves.

Today is the day of salvation. Seek ye the Lord while He may be found.

This is very true. As a normal part of the grieving process people will often try to bargain with God. Some do, however, have their hearts pricked by the Lord at the very last and go to be with Him. Thank you, Lord, that we as ignorant humans are not the judge and the jury.

This is why those who know the Lord pray without ceasing for the lost to be saved.

What were they really thinking before they passed away? Did they want another day on earth, another hour?

If someone lives a really good life, they will NOT be "saved" until God has determined that they are worthy of being "saved" at the moment of their death.
It is blasphemous for humans to determine for themselves whether they will be going to Heaven or not.

Fine - believe in Him. Pray to Him. Ask Him for guidance, etc.
But don't you dare state that YOU can determine whether you or anyone else will go to Heaven or Hell - because if you do, then YOU have determined that God is meaningless.

I glad I dare to believe, by His grace, what the Lord Jesus said in John 5.24:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

I think since God saves, he knows the hearts of those who are sincerely called and repent. But a last minute conversion will not have the rewards of someone who has being following Christ with all their heart soul and mind.

"12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire." 1 Cor 3:12-15.

1. What is the ridiculous fascination with 16th Century English?
"Verily, verily, I say to you, He that hears my word and believes on Him that sent me, has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death to life."
2. If you want to believe that God has relinquished His power to you, and has let YOU decide who is going to Heaven or to Hell, then you no longer need to call yourself Christian. Call yourself God.
3. If so-called "Christian" denominations are teaching this nonsense, then they should be TRULY ashamed of themselves. This is blasphemy.
