That it's forbidden. but these laws were given to the sons of israel, not to all mankind.
Please reread the verses. You will note New Testament verses written by Paul that refute the idea that you can have sex outside of marriage.

Biblical moral laws apply to all, ie Israelites and NON Israelites.

Why is sex only within marriage? Where does god say that?
Galatians chapter 5, talks about the works of the flesh, and anyone who does them will NOT inherit the kingdom of Heaven..
And its mentioned in the laws, fornication, which is pre marital sex.!!.

Hows your relationship with GOD? on an honest point of view?
My relationship is good with the Lord because I do not seek to sin as a way of life. I study His Word and pray to the Lord and seek to honor Him in everything I do. If you are on the side of holiness and in doing what is right (Which is the Lord's side), then why are you asking this question of the others here instead of me? For surely if you are aware of what God's Word says, you should know that it is better to not date an unbeliever (Even in the case with a prom date) and or to place yourself into a potentially tempting situation on a day that is associated with sex and alcohol by many.

Galatians is a letter from paul. Is Paul god? I'm referring to the law of god, not the law of Paul.

When speaking about the lust of the flesh, he must be referring to the laws of god from the old testament, which you don't follow.

that is the key. yes, we should not place ourselves in tempting situations, but that is going to vary from person to person. so as I told you yesterday, blanket rules of don't don't don't are not Biblical. you know, liberty in Christ. oh, wait that does not fit your rules agenda, so let's not talk about that.

So you are an Ebionite? A New Testament follower of Christ but just not of Paul's writings?

As I said before, one can take her on a date, but it must be with the focus of evangelizing her and not with the focus of being intimate with an unbeliever. The Scriptures clearly warn us to be holy and separate from unbelievers. For what fellowship does light have with darkness?

No, I am asking you- is Paul god? No, he is following god. Lust upsets him because he follows and cares about the old testament.

He doesn't want to be intimate with her. He wants to take her to the prom and do one thing: DANCE.. that is all..he wants to go to a dance with her.

In other words, asking a non-believer to the prom is like drinking moderately as a believer. While it may be lawful for you to do certain things, it may not be exactly profitiable for you. Meaning, it is lawful for you to play around a bunch of snakes and or powerlines, but it is not exactly profitable for you to do so because you are placing yourself into potential harm (that you don't need to place yourself under). God always wants you to focus on Him first and not yourself and what you want. God wants you to do what is always best for His purposes and plans.

To put it to you another way, while believers do have a liberty in Christ to do certain things, the higher road or calling is to choose the best possible good for the Lord. For God would rather we be hot for His kingdom and not lukewarm.

Sex only exists within the bounds of marriage for God. Anything else is sin. But man is evil and he desires to serve his carnal nature rather than serve God. Unsaved men or the world thinks that sex is normal outside of marriage. They believe dating is one step in getting somebody in bed as per a normal relationship in dating someone. For nobody dates today with the intention that they do not want to be close intimately. I imagine there are a few. But these are the types of dates that are not descriptive of a normal relationship. Dating involves a romantic level at some point. It involves one in being intimate with someone, both for the unbeliever and the believer. To the believer, sex is only within marriage and It is about joining with them and becoming one flesh. For surely if taking a woman to the Prom is not about wanting to be close to them intimately at some point (Both mentailly, physically, (and or spiritually in the case with believers)), then why don't people just ask one of their own good friends of the same sex to go to the prom with them as their date?
Are you able to carry on normal conversation at all? You're taking this young mans desire to take a young girl to the prom to the worst case scenario... And that is what everyone is trying to tell you. You have completely ostracized yourself and exhibited anti social behavior repeatedly throughout this thread and others. I hope that someday you can have a cup of coffee with someone without praising God ad nauseam about how grateful and blessed you are for your most glorious cup of coffee.

Now feel free to twist and manipulate what I just said in the over spiritualizing way you do so well.

Well if lust of the flesh (which leads to adultery and fornication) is good for yah.. then you can disregard what Paul taught..

Paul is just a man. He is a follower of Jesus Christ and he had written Scripture while under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. You either believe that or you don't believe that.

why do you keep arguing with Jason? I told you that you won't get anywhere with him.. this thread is 16 pages of derailment from the OP's original question. If you're tired of bickering with Jason, then put him on ignore and get this thread back on it's original track.. :/

The holy ghost sees many things as bad: it's all written in the first 5 books of the bible.
