I think the only vote that should matter is God's vote. What does God want Dave to do? God's Word and praying to the Lord should give Dave the answer or vote that he truly needs.

So are you saying that God was mistaken when he inspired his writers to wroite about...
1. Knowing one anothr and provoking unto good works
2. Encouraging one another
3. Teacing and instructing one another
4. Advising one anothr and giving good council

ETC.......It is NOT wrong for believers to encourage, advise, instruct and or teach one another....maybe you should try it....taking advice that is.....!

I would hardly call a popularity of a vote as advising of good counsel or in instructing one another. Telling a brother to seek the Scriptures and to pray to the Lord would be more effectual (Which is good counsel); Unless of course you don't think it is good that we should seek out the Word of God and pray to the Lord on such matters for our life.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.

I think you go to seed on many things..this being one of them as many here have given good advice based upon godly principles.....maybe you should read the Song of Solomon and understand than nobody went beyond biblical in their advice........again your mind does not allow you to understand anything other than what is hammered out on your own anvil that sometimes lacks knowledge!

It is written...

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up,

Does not behave itself rudely, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, keeps no record of evil;

Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

For now we see in a mirror dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

(1 Corinthians 13:1-13 KJ2).

Said the man with three fingers pointing back to himself.
It's not about fingerpointing but it's about love.

You'd get a better response in the teens thread about this mate, since it would be in a more relevant area.

It's all good.
It's not like anyone is going to respond here......this thread should die out in no time.:)

It is easy to quote verses for sure.....and I will say that love and truth go hand in hand..what I say to you is truth........one day you will see that many spoke the truth to you out of a love of the truth and you refused to acknowledge the truth of what they spoken because of pride and a refusal and inability to admit that you just might be wrong.....tragic for sure....!

"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4).
Jason...no offence, but you are not all that and a bag of chips when it comes to the word and living according to it.......!
