Mate you can hope for the expectation of things to come,,,, in this sence your still hoping...

But youve answered no to not hoping at all so what are you saying now ?

It looks like your saying expect salvation based upon a dictionaries meaning ? or your meaning ?..............

No, I am saying CONSISTENLTY what I have always said based upon the inspired word of GOD....the word hope, as applied in the N.T., equates to a confident EXPECTATION of something that is GUARANTEED<----SALVATION and ETERNAL life in JESUS based upon faith and grace!

Let me ask you where you saved on the cross at Calvary or were you saved at some later date that depended on your own works as if you needed to be born years later and do something to "get saved"? Are you saved by your own works or had you already been saved at the cross by the work of the Lord and then many years later when you were born then you grew up and pondered it and realized he had saved you at the cross many years ago?
Then all those that believed, repented and confessed were batting the air.

And what if your wrong ?
Based upon the immutable word of God, inspired verb tense, inspired words and context I have no fear of being wrong in my assessment.....

The bible is clear....so answer the following questions without bias or preconceived ideas or doctrine...

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

What does the following mean...

a. Whatsoever GOD doeth (does)
b. It shall be for ever
c. Is salvation something GOD does?
d. If it is what does B say<---it shall be for ever

What about "why would a saint that is on fire for Jesus worry about it?"

I would think, only a borderline nominal believer would be interested in that concept, unless it is a loved one that was "once saved, now trying to be unsaved"

Either Jesus died for your sins or He didn't. At the time that He died on the cross all sins committed from that point were in the future. There are numerous passages in the bible supporting this point of view.

Nice try but no ceeeegar...........the bible and verb tense and context states that it is a present possession......

NOW ARE WE THE SONS OF GOD
, but it doth not yet appear what we shall be!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

The only thing that has not been realized is the glorified body....we currently possess salvation and eternal life and right NOW are the sons and daughters of GOD!

Jesus only had to die ONCE to save us. The rest should be fairly obvious.. lol

Hi all im sure theres many scriptures with a little bit of imagination we can prove that people have been saved more than once.

For instance Jesus rid a guy of 2000 demons and warned the guy beware for they can come back,, meaning Jesus was prepared to save him again.

Now for the Good part please post your scriptures of chidren of God in the Bible being saved again :)

a BETTER WAY OF PUTTING IT IS WE ARE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN... (GOOD SHOUT YES)..

BUT REMEMBER IT NOT HOW FAST YOU CAN RACE ITS HOW YOU TAKE PART,,,,,,,,TO THE END

(1 John 2:1). Also, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

AND TO BE CLEAR THE VERSE BEFOR SAYS , “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if
anybody does sin,

Please note jesus is talking to the allready saved here,,, he addresses the saved as his children..meaning you can fall from grace.
