To all those who are serious about allowing God to purge us from all sin in the flesh...We are already taking some steps and making some kind of effort to not have any sin in the flesh, but dont you think we could put more effort into doing this through greater accountability and unity and encouraging each other through various ways to be able to spend more time focused on God in a seperate from the world atmosphere? One step would be not closing the doors of the church I suppose, so people can freely spend as much time in that atmosphere as they want to. Any ideas?

I hate to be blunt here brother, but God purged the SIN form your flesh over 2,000 years ago when Jesus was made sin and you became righteous.

God is still not dealing with the SIN problem today, he already dealt with it. Many Christians continue to deal with SIN, because they are rooted and grounded in the doctrine of SIN consciousness versus the understanding they are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

I would urge you to read 2 Peter 1.1-11

Start preaching and teaching the divine nature and the SIN problem is no longer a problem for folks, because it was already dealt with and folks will then understand that righeousness is a position and not personal performance and that they have been purged from their old SINS and have escaped the lust in the world. [Again see 2 Peter 1.1-11]

if there is not union with Jesus INSIDE the church walls already, then OPENING the church doors to let in more people not in union with Jesus will not increase peace nor union in the truth. see how many from outside the church come to all the threads of all the forums on the internet where they are permitted and speak(thus increase) error and heresy without seeking truth .......

take a lesson though from those in the ekklesia (the true body of Christ; the simple believers following Jesus no matter where they are)
and meet with them wherever you can find them by prayer and thanksgiving to God....... while few and far between , they may be found , God Willing. where they are, there is uncompromised righteousness in life and faith and truth by grace in Jesus through faith, which is itself a gracious gift from God. and where they are, there is peace, joy, and righteousness every day, by God's doing through Jesus Christ, as they submit to Him and Listen to Him and do as He Says, always in line with all the Bible.

You can't purge sin from the flesh it is impossible, that's why your spirit is born of God and your mind is to be renewed according to the spirit, that's where it's at.

I am curious as to if there are any 24/7/365 churches around. At the same time, remember who you are in Christ, you are part of the Body, to which Jesus is the Head. If we abide in Him, then as others are around us, Christ in us will be others' Hope. James speaks to how forgiveness can cover a multitude of sins. Be intentional, prayerful, available, and let Him work through you. This is the best way the Church stays open. good question.

if we are told to walk as He walked, we have a great commission set before us
for the entirety of our lives, it surely is not a 'done-deal' upon conversion, as
far as us being totally righteousness -

the RACE is set before us by our Father and His instructions are explicit -
righteousness is the hope we seek to achieve throughout our walk,
'over-coming', it's our goal, our duty, the proof of our dedication and love
for the One who loves us - we do this because Christ dwells in us, it is
the FAITH of Jesus Christ, for The Lord is our Righteousness.
our desire should be to constantly please Him, what better way than to
obey His every Command -
as He did, so should we, for He is our Perfect Example.

if anyone thinks that they 'walk in the Light' 24-7, then they would be
considered as already 'won-done' in their Spiritual journey, with nothing
left to repent of, thus nullifying our Intercessor, Jesus Christ,
our High Priest, Who sits on the right hand of God as He asks God
for our 'pardon' when we come to Him in 'repentance' with a contrite heart.

'For If, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son,
much more, being reconciled, we SHALL be saved by His life.' = through His intercession,
for, 'He ever lives to intercede for us'.

When GOD sent HIS Beloved SON to take on the sins of the world it was them finished. What we must do once we have truly accepted that JESUS paid the penalty for our sins we must then walk accordingly meaning die to the flesh no longer feeding it with worldly desires but by feeding the spiritman within by studying GOD's Word, Prayer and fellowship with GOD, working in the Ministry GOD has you to be in and allow GOD to perfect you in your Calling and fellowshipping with other Christians for iron sharpens iron. Also keep in mind GOD is always doing a work in us up until the day HIS SON is sent again this is why through HIS LOVE HE has provided a way for us when we sin which is to truly Repent and be Restored.

Blessings!!!!!!!

Yes, Paul said that in Romans 7.19.

You do understand what Paul is teaching in Romans 7 and Romans 8 right?

In chapter 7 Paul is showing us how hopeless it is to live the Christian life under the law or our own self righteousness. He then contrasts that in Romans chapter 8 with how easy it is to live the Christian life with the Spirit guiding you.

You will never understand Romans chapter 7, but using verse 19 as a proof text of a doctrine that is wrong. You need to read and understand Romans 1-6 in context before understanding Romans 7 & 8, which should be read as one chapter and not two.

[h=1]Romans 7:23-25King James Version (KJV)[/h]23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

A true fiery passion and blazing fire in the heart for God is not meant to be seen by others. Only by God. What others see is how you treat them - how kind you are - how forgiving - how patient.

I hate to be blunt here brother, but God purged the SIN form your flesh over 2,000 years ago when Jesus was made sin and you became righteous.
Scriptures plainly teach that those who DO righteousness are Righteous. We are not righteous if we walk in unrighteousness. I John 1:7 is absolutely correct, IF we walk in the light as Jesus is in the light only than does His blood cleanseth us from all sins. You do error not knowing the Scriptures or the Truth. Those who do rigteosness are Righteous. Those who do wickedness are even now wicked and NOT righteous, no matter what they claim with their mouths "Lord, Lord, have we not confessed you, have we not gone to Church, have we not done miracle in your name, have we not claimed to be Saved, have we not claimed to be under your righteousness? And what does Jesus tell them? I do not know you, you who practice sin. I John 3:6 confirms that as well.
So whoever is out there who continues to live in sin all the while claiming with their mouths they are Righteous because of what He has done, are deceived and know not the Truth. His Righteousness cleansed us at the time we accepted Him as our Savior and Lord, He at that time sacrificed and took the punishment for our sins, and at that time died ONCE for that person sins that are PAST (Romans 3:25) At the moment a person is Saved, it is because of His Righteousness that they were Saved. But after that a person has been cleansed by His righteousness, His stripes, His sacrifice, is an entirely different story, Hence the reason it is written He that endures to the end shall be Saved. Even Paul said He had not attained the prize, but strives for it, (enduring to the end). Even Jesus gave us a parable of dividing the sheep and the goats, BOTH of which called Him "Lord"
Judgement Day is not for the unsaved, the unsaved are already judged as being unsaved, Psalms 1:5 states Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, because there is no need to judge them, they are unsaved. Judgment Day is for all those who claim to be SAVED, claim to be Righteous. You will know them by their fruits and it is their fruits that will judge them whether they have Loved others or not loved others

Again i will say to you. Those who DO righteousness are Righteous. Those who do wickedness are even now wicked.

WE are the church. The buidings we meet in to assemble ourselves together are good and it is no doubt God's will thatwe do so. However....opening the doors to the church? No problem. But when the doors are opened after the meetings the commission of the true church is to 'Go ye into all the world'. " All the world " seems to speak of far away places and so forth TO SOME but 'all the world' can be your world and my world. Ask God for the Holy Spirit to guide the church out from behind closed ,or open doors :=)

my friend while what you say is true if you ever met me and spoke with me you would see the fiery passion and love I speak of,you will see the depths of my heart. I become very excited and energetic you will see a light in my eyes a huge smile and boy do I love to talk about God. I do not hide my passion and love and the fire is shown out in the open

I understand what you are saying, but you most likely have an excitable outgoing personality by nature. Your love for God just enhances it. What I am trying to say is that you can't tell by looking at a person the depth of their love for God. I have known men/women who appear to be "on fire" for God, eyes burning with passion for Him, and yet their love for others and teachings were really a little off. My dad was such a person - very charismatic - even wrote books about God, spoke at public events, talked about God non-stop, but his love for people really wasn't there. His teachings were totally wrong. Sad.

I am the opposite of you. By nature very quiet and gentle. Yet I feel such passion deep in my heart. I feel a burning in my spirit. You would not see it. Yet, I love to speak of God and do so in my usual quiet soft manner. The only way you might know I was a Christian is by my love for people and love of teaching His word.
