Dear Sparkman:

Yes, one is not saved if they willingly condone evil (Whether it be a little bit of evil or a lot of evil). For if you do evil, you are evil. It's not a new concept. It's basic morality. You should like already know that. Good guys do good and bad guys do bad.
I John 1: [SUP]8 [/SUP]If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [SUP]9 [/SUP]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [SUP]10 [/SUP]If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

This is what I'm working from. Very plain language. And, as I posted, many believers did commit sin. Their overall lifestyle was not characterized by sin, but they did sin.

Explain to me how each of these individuals were believers yet sinned underneath your theology:

· Abraham lied and showed a lack of faith when he said Sarai was his sister rather than wife (Genesis 12)
· Noah got drunk after the Flood (Genesis 9)
· David committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband killed (2 Samuel 11)
· Samson had sex with a prostitute (Judges 16:1)
· Peter denied Christ three times, and committed the sin of favoritism (Matt 26, Gal 2:11-13)
· The Corinthian man was involved in sexual activity with his stepmother (I Corinthians 5)
· The Corinthian congregation committed sin in ignoring the activity between the man and his wife (I Corinthians 5)

A person cannot keep God's Word without being born again. They have to first repent of their sins and accept Jesus. They then study God's Word and seek to obey His commands with the Lord's help. Praying to the Lord and studying His Word and getting to know more about Him. Practicing righteousness and not sin. Not making excuses for sin by saying we will be a slave to sin. Suffering as Christ suffered will help a person to cease from sin as the Bible says.
That is working in the flesh Jason. If we are born again means we have ceased from sin. not trying to cease. You are all over the place with your theology.

It's more than that Jason. It is how you conduct yourself amongst opposers and whether you are straight with them and answer their questions.
Did Jesus always answer men? Did Jesus reveal His plan of salvation openly to everybody? Yes, God wants us to be honest and tell the truth, and to preach the gospel and His Word, but there are times when we are to speak and not speak. We are to be as innocent as doves and wise as serpents.

You have no authority to make such a statement. God never gives the authority to condemn another to us. That is the ministry of God alone.

Jesus said we are all evil. Giving good gifts but evil none the less. We cannot be anything less than evil in comparison to Christ. That is why God must impute Christ's righteousness to us or we are not righteous.

We cannot be sinless until we are glorified together with our Christ. Today we are saved from the power of sin which is condemnation. Then we will be saved from the presence of sin in our glorified bodies in His presence forever. This the hope for which we yearn and groan. Oh to be like Him what a glorious thought.

For the cause of Christ

HAVE SINNED. Past tense. Meaning, a believer does not say they have not sinned as a part of their old life. Also, if sin does arise in their life, a true believer recognizes sin (Whereby they confess it as 1 John 1:9 says. Also, read 1 John 1:6-7 is the context. We cannot claim to have fellowship and walk in darkness. We have to walk in the light as he is in the light to be cleansed of all sin. Read 1 John 2:4. What does it say? Is that not in context to 1 John 1:8, too?

The Antinomian does not believe in confessing sin because they believe they have no sin on a spiritual level because Jesus paid their sin debt.

This is what I'm working from. Very plain language. And, as I posted, many believers did commit sin. Their overall lifestyle was not characterized by sin, but they did sin.

Already gave you an answer to this before. No man sins as a way of life and is still saved. Nowhere did any of the above men sin and were still saved. Scripture does not teach that. Can believers stumble? Yes, but so can an alcoholic who struggles on his road to recovery in being sober free.

.21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.Galatians 2

Galatians 3: By Faith, or by Works of the Law?
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified.2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?

ware did you get holiness without righteousness. and how did you get that.

john 3.16.

and acts 10 did you read, the word repent before the holy spirit was given to corneliuis. etc and who told him to send for peter. etc

Do you think these men lost their salvation when they sinned, and had to regain it? Like, the Holy Spirit hopped out of them, and didn't come back until they repented?

No. Not in every case. I believe the Spirit convicts a person to repent of their sins. But if they refuse to repent of their sin, then the Spirit can leave a person. We see this happen with Saul. Also, when David confesses in Psalm 51, he asks God not to take His Holy Spirit from him. However, we know Ananais and Sapphira were immediatley kiled for lying to the Spirit, though.

Jason the fact you cannot give a straight answer to only one scripture presented to you already disproves your doctrine. if you had said you honestly do not know the answer then that itself would have helped your case a little but you avoid the question and try to move around it. we didn't disprove your doctrine Jason you did

Dear Blaine:

Gave an answer with Scripture. And no. You did not disprove anything. You need to use the Word of God to do that, dear sir.

Sky responding like that isn't the way to do it. I fully understand your frustration however he has already lost the battle

Why do you go around on the forum accusing others of being less faithful to God than yourself? That's your overall approach.

So let me get this straight then.... you refuse to directly answer the scripture given yet you demand I respond with with scripture? And yes I know like I said we didn't disprove your doctrine you did.

By their own words they saying they are less faithful because they believe they can sin and still be saved and that they will never be able to stop sinning.

I am not coming out and attacking any one person like people are doing with me here. I am attacking primarily a wrong belief with the Word of God. Therein lies the difference.
