There are times in a Christians life even after being born again we will sin. I just wonder what does God accept and not accept as a born again Christian as far as sinning. Is there a sin that is worse than the other?
If we confess our sins will we be forgiven even as a born again Christian?
If we try to live our lives right by God, and theoretically speaking sin unintentionally - recognize we have sinned - confess and try to never to it again are we forgiven? Or does God make no allowances for when we are born again with the holy spirit?

God expects us to walk in the Spirit so we don't fulfil the lusts of the flesh, Gal 5: 16.
But if we do sin, Thank God we can confess our sin and God will forgive us and cleans us from all unrighteousness,
And that means we are back in right standing with God.
Righteousness and justification have the same meaning, and I like to use justification like this,

JUST-IF-I'D, Just if I'd never sinned. And that's how God sees us when we repent.

We all still sin. Many have probably already done it this morning.

That's a fact as long as we continue to live in our fleshly and carnal sins.

The great thing though, is that God knew that, and Jesus/Yeshua knew that BEFORE the ultimate sacrifice was made. God doesn't want only perfect beings. He wanted us in His presence. So He told us the the way we should live in order to live happily in His presence. And knowing that we would always fall short, He made a way for us to stay in His presence.

The catch is that we can't make that a license to sin. We should do our darndest to live more in the Spirit and less in the flesh. When we do sin, we need to repent. The Hebrew word for "repent" is teshuva. It doesn't just mean to recognize what we've done wrong and feel bad about doing it, and say we're going to stop it. It means to turn around and go the opposite direction, back to God and the way He's called us to live. And every time we do that with a sincere heart, that forgiveness and cleansing is there.

For none are righteous before God , all are sinners but at the cross Christ paid the cost that in that sense all past sins are erased for we as Christians must first accept jesus into our hearts ,then comes water then fire then once water although if there was no time for tgese two the Lord will understand , lets look at the thief on the cross He was saved not being baptized or not doing anything a of the requirements a christian must have but was justified , because there was no time for these and This is where grace safeguards a believer ,many of our people are not aware of the dangers of disobeying the faith or unknowledgable towards liberation and the edification of a believer but they may be safeguarded through grace providing they have not rejected the instruction sent or due to disbelief of God's power . But in all an uncircumcised heart is dangerous to a believer and certain death in most cases , even upon receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost , for even thogh receiving the gift is a requirement it is not a sureaty to receive salvation but remember our jesus said that God will give His holy Ghost to as many of us that will ask , we will receive . Now we as believers are trully born again through obedience to the Word as in described by the apostle peter also primarily through Christ , that hearing the Word sanctifies the believer but hearing requires receiving and evidence of receiving is doing , so if we are only hearers and not doers then we did not received and such is ignorance before tje Lord to deny obedience is as iniquity and i dolatry and witchcraft ets . It is open defiance willfull ignorance because it is no longer ignorance but open defiance to God , a very dangerous thing in fact but ,if we recognize our sins through self exination and pray in the spirit and work through the word to sanctification , you will see the holy Ghost regenarative and renewing power

John's First Epistle speaks of walking in the light as a believer and being cleansed by the blood of Christ.

Ella if Born again and Born of God is the same event, then either you or God is confused as to the holy state of the born-again person. God says.... Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

You see the problem with most Christians are they are mislead on what Born again means. It does mean to be BORN OF GOD... And God says whosoever is born of God sinneth not... and the SEED of God remain in this person and he CANNOT sin because he is BORN OF GOD...

So either you are confused as to born again (Born of God) people sin ir God is, I trust God is right abd you are wrong. Born again is NOT a state of sin, but a state of true holiness.... It is the glorification of JESUS in a person. As holy and as perfect as Jesus is.

May God always be right, and the man wrong. Who are these WE in 1 John 5:18? It seems no one on CC KNOWS that the born of God people sinneth NOT!... 1 John 5:18... We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
I doubt if this WE are the members of CC. For sure you are not one of this WE! I think I might be one that knows this, however I am not one of the BORN OF GOD people YET!

So called sinless perfection is not in the New testament. John's First Epistle makes it clear that the believer needs ongoing cleansing; Hebrews chapters 9 and 10 show that the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus is sufficient, one for all.

Born again / born of God, are synonymous.

the spirit speks t us through our conscience
that is what the conscience is
if we listen and sy sorry we recieve eace
if we ignore our conscience it we stop hearing it and the spirit is quenched

and you go blind
and in the end ar lost.

Obedience love and faith all need repentance and change continuaously

God will not leave you

You can however leave God
no one can take you out of his hand
but you can do it...

Faith is belief, trust and obedience to the word of God
when you have little faith, that means you have little belief trust and obedience to the word of God

and the devil takes you down the hill quickly

Thank you for your replys. I believe we will still be able to sin, we need to repent our sins daily. Even if born of God because we do not have our holy body yet how could we not sin here on earth? It is when you repeatedly commit the same sin I believe God looks at it as a problem. It is so hard not to sin.... It is impossible...

God is outside of time. He already knows every sin anyone ever committed. The Bible calls Jesus "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" Rev 13. If we believe in Jesus and His sacrifice, we know we are forgiven.

When you are truely saved, yes, do do continue to sin, for the rest of your lives here on earth. The difference is, if you have the spirit, you are convicted of that son pretty sharpshooter and it will grieve you so much you will be drawn back to the father to ask for his forgiveness. Then you won't have a desire to do it any more. If you continue to walking in the sin knowingly, then the bible says you are not saved and don't know the father.

My high school religion teacher put it this way; the only sin that is unforgivable, is when you say "I'm just a sinner, I can't strive to be good, so I'm giving up."

She said people who truly just give up on God, let it go and get on with their lives are committing a great sin and injustice to themselves because they can make right, they can always try and strive to be better. It's not about being perfect, that's not what Jesus said when he said "Be perfect." He meant to strive for perfection, to best the absolute best you can be. if you always strive for perfection, you will be as good, as whole, as worthy as you can possibly be.

"Born of God", Is the same thing as , "Born again".
Jn 1: 12, says, But as many as received Jesus, He gave them the right to become sons of God.
The John goes into v 13, And the latter part says, Who were born of God.
So notice, Those who are born of God, Are sons of God.

Now see what John says in 1 Jn 3: 2, "Now are we the SONS of God".
Now look at 1 Jn1 : 9. John is talking to the sons of God, and in v9, he says,
"If we [Sons of God] confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
So John [Inspired by God, Says the sons of God will sin.
1 Jn 3: 9, says whosoever is born of God doesn't sin.

Is John contradicting himself?.. NO.
Mankind is a three part being, Spirit soul and body, 1 Thess 5: 23.
We are a Spirit who has a soul and lives in a body, And only our spirit is born again, Or born of God.
Our souls are to be renewed, Rom 12: 2, And our bodies are waiting redemption, Rom 8: 23.
The Spirit part of us, Is the "US", and that doesn't sin.
But our soul, [The mind will and emotions] will sin from time to time, And the body will do what the soul. tells it.

That why we need to walk in the Spirit, so we won't fulfil the lusts of the flesh.

The only sin not forgiven the Christian (IF IT IS EVEN POSSIBLE) is if the Christian hardens his heart through the deceitfulness of sin TO THE POINT where he actually denies the Son as His Savior and no longer looks to Him for forgiveness of sin.
Whether it can actually happen...I doubt.

ROMANS 11:22.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:
on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if
you continue in His goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:

There are two separate parts to the goodness of the Lord. The first is our salvation. It is a beautiful, very complete word, for it includes being given the Holy Spirit, being given eternal life, and living under the kindness of the Lord that includes grace.

We have the example the Hebrews when they were freed from slavery in Egypt. This was done for them because of the kindness of the Lord, not because they were sinless people. We are freed from the slavery of sin in the same way, not because we are perfect but because of grace.

After God did this for them, God gave them instructions about how to live with justice, love, and abundance. God said that if we follow these instructions we will be rewarded, and ignoring them leads to punishment. Never did God say that the punishment would be their loss of eternal life. In the NT, we are told that we always have forgiveness available to us, but if we choose to live with sin always in our lives, if we ARE liars, drunkards, etc. God cannot live in us. At the same time, because we were given salvation, we, as worshippers of the One True God have forgiveness available to us always.
