SO

1 cor 7.

Now regarding the questions you asked in your letter. Yes, it is good to abstain from sexual relations.[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]2 [/SUP]But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs.[SUP]4 [/SUP]The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control.[SUP]6 [/SUP]I say this as a concession, not as a command.[SUP]7 [/SUP]But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.

As I read this I wondered one thing... Now this is not because I wish to do this in any way shape or form... I cant stress this enough!!!!!!

But, here it goes...

Does this protect and encourage sexual abuse within marriage? Let us say that The man falls from his faith and decides to get drunk every night. As such with being drunk he is sexually aroused. He decides that she is an object and takes advantage of her every night. Is this permitted through the word of God? Because the marriage was ordained through God. And they both gave their bodies to each other... Also It says both must agree to refrain from sexual acts...

Two things I must stress beyond all!

1 I do believe in God UNCONDITIONALLY! and am not trying to get a rouse out of people so please do not answer this question as such.

2 I am not trying to be a pervert and find a way to take advantage of any women!!!!!!!!!!

It comes off to me as those verses indicate consent from both sides. So no it would lead to what you suggested.

God is Love. That should answer your question.

No, the passage doesn't endorse sexual abuse at all. Husbands are to love their wives even as Christ loved the church, be considerate and treat them with respect, etc. So there should be mutual agreement in whatever they do. The example you gave is spousal abuse which is a criminal offense.

no the Bible says that if a husband abuses his wife, then God will not hear his prayers.

So I don't see how that verse would endorse abuse of your spouse.

1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

I think this is an awesome question. I also think you are really smart for your age, T_Laurich.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer just yet.
