1. faith is blind faith..
You evidence your lack of the powerful witness of the Holy Spirit to your spirit of the truth of Scripture.
It is anything but blind to those who have that powerful witness.

That is why the hymn states: "I once. . . was blind, but now I see."
It is you who are blind.

is saying even if u dont understand or it dont make sense, just believe it okay. .

2. You need the holy spirit to understand,
No, you need the Holy Spirit to believe it.
Belief is the source of understanding.

The saving issue is belief, not correct understanding.

However, you will find born-again Christians agree on the fundamentals:
the nature of Scripture as God-breathed,
the deity of Jesus,
his virgin birth and miracles,
his penal death for sin,
and his physical resurrection and personal return.

That they disagree on the non-fundamentals is not an issue of belief.

and all of you have the holy spirit as you say, but reading through this forum, you be fighting because there is different opinions, so which one is right if yall have the holy spirit. So the spirit tell one person something and another person sonething else,

3 indeed i was a Christian and even while been christian i saw some of this errors but i didnt question it because of my fear of hell, now that i have no fear im not scare to question my belief and do some research
You were simply a professing Christian, not a born-again true Christian by the Holy Spirit.

And without faith in the Bible by the power of the Holy Spirit, the door to understanding it
is barred to you.

You are, therefore, not qualified to correctly critique it, nor anything related to saving faith,
which you do not possess, and are barred from correctly understanding.

and even while been christian i saw some of this errors but i didnt question it because of my fear of hell, now that i have no fear
Like the one who is no longer fearful of the data on the effects of smoking, or toxins, etc.

im not scare to question my belief and do some research
And what kind of research can be done on saving faith by the Holy Spirit?
Does God have his own "Wikipedia" website?

If another is demanding, commanding and not loving he is not Born of the Spirit of God as of yet full grown, might be born again and we know these by their fruit if they are or are not. I am glad you are not hiding and acting as many do. now if anyone apologizes for their selfish remarks using God as the Catalyst as you just said using fear to conform one, force one by fear and not by love the merciful love of God
I see why you chose not to believe.
Did you come to a point in your life when you saw the you personally, not able to be perfect as all those around you acted that way, or you saw those that acted and were liars.
In this process this happened to me and I heard this thought to not beleive if this is God?
Yet I also heard and listened these people are not of God they some are imposters, acting as if they are better than others, when no one is better than the other.
I saw I need God and God only the father of Christ who sacrificed himself for me and all those that will believe in God's Mercy
Can and will be free to just love all, whether they beleive or not. This is what God did through Son for us all
Just waiting for you to respond to God not the people and or doubting thoughts that get injected to our minds
After belief we are to renew our minds to see from God the Father's perspective:

By Christ here is a verse that states By Christ's death we are presented to Father as:

Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Now if you see this, then say Thank you and ask for this new free given life in the Spirit and be set free in love of God to you personally

Hey, I got some questions, I was reading Luke 16 and 15. I saw that Jesus is talking parables in theae two chapter, but when it gets to the story of Lazarus and the rich man. Is he still talking in parables or is he talking literal?
Luke 16: 19-31

The account of Lazarus and the rich man is a Historical account of what really happened.

The main reason that this account is not a parable is because the Lord Jesus tells this account using proper names. (E.g. Abraham, Moses, Lazarus).

When you study all the parables in all four gospels told by Jesus and you compare it with this account found in Luke 16:19-31, you will notice that the Lord Jesus Christ NEVER uses proper names when he is speaking a parable. You won't find one proper name given in any of the parables told by Jesus.

However; again, in Luke 16:19-31, the Lord Jesus Christ does use proper names because the account he speaks of here in this passage of Scripture is an actual historical account and not a parable.

why does it look like you haven't done any "research" then? if not for fear, then for what?

i pointed directly to a few articles, others quoted some articles, and 5 seconds at google could net you 10,000 articles about reconciling the accounts of the four gospels --

exactly when were you going to look into that?

i don't know what it is you called "being a Christian" but i know for myself, i could never turn away from whom i have been called by; it would be worse for me than Jonah!
He bought me at a price, He transformed and is transforming me, and the man i once was is dead.

am sorry, but "used to belong to Christ" is totally inconceivable to me. if you can say that, you are a new creation indeed!! or lost in deception.

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Elin, you see, you are still talking about faith which that is all you have. Faith is just trusting something that you cant prove.

And research i have done, and what i found is
1 the books of the bible were put together by people. They chose what book was going to be in the bible and which not, and God didnt have no control over it.
2 the gospel were written 70-100 years after jesus death and no witness was a life at that time.
3 there is no piece of writting that talks about jesus outside of the bible.
4 any body can say or write something to make their story more believable, like saying that there were 500 witness that saw Jesus alive. Where are their writtings? Do you have it.

Agreed.

So can you prove George Washington was the first president of this nation?
Do you believe that he was?

I don't have to prove the testimony of the apostles, it has been proven to me,
and I am willing to place all my trust in that to which they testify.
It's a personal choice, which I have the right to make, and without anyone's permission.

So if you have researched, become enlightened and forsaken Christianity,

what are you doing on a Christian website?

It's certainly not to share your faith.

So it's only to troll.

Trolls are not welcome here.

Troll, you are. . .

That's a lot of ignorance in one place.

Do some homework on Wikipedia and get your facts straight.

do you know how many times it is recorded in the old testament "thus saith the Lord" .. ?
how little do you think of 'god' if He cannot even cause a book to be preserved for us?

2 the gospel were written 70-100 years after jesus death and no witness was a life at that time.

Matthew: 50's AD
Mark: no later than 50's-60's AD
Luke: no later than 61 AD
John: probably 80's AD
Acts: early 60's AD

except for Luke, all of these were written by direct witnesses and the narrative itself had spread orally throughout the Roman empire before it was written down. it's not known whether the versions we have today were preceded by earlier written documents. within just a few decades after the crucifixion the gospel spread throughout the empire, and both the government and prevailing religious power had vested interest in stopping it. if it wasn't true, why did the gov't and the established religion fail so miserably at challenging it's veracity?

where is the evidence that any of these apostles died before writing these books?

3 there is no piece of writting that talks about jesus outside of the bible.

"
Nero fastened the guilt . . . on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of . . . Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome. . .
"

Tacitus, Annals 15.44, AD 64

just like you can say "i was a christian" or "i have done research"

where is your research?
where is your testimony of Christ?

Never believed to begin with, did all the rituals as in Hebrews 6, yet never came to saving Faith, walked away as many of us have and then came back to fully understand what saving Faith is, seeing God ahs past tense forgiven us, we then receive in appreciation, forsaking the self flesh that we all are originally born with, being born again in the Spirit of God via the resurrected Christ we are alive now, by God

Yep, no need to prove it. It was witnessed by many that testified to this in the Bible. The best news came form an empty tomb period.
So have you made your choice then? To consciously not beleive God? And you are aware of the consequences of unbelief per the word of God right?
So be it then as you will, you will be.

Since this goes on to this day, I say it be of God:

Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
Acts 5:39 but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
