I tended to write in more succinct essays....my professors liked it except for highschool english...
I had one class that I wrote in 2 pages what others wrote in 5 to 10....My college professors don't like fluffing it up to make it longer.
one of the kids used to teach at the college level, and it's because they
have to read those papers.

François Duc De La Rochefoucauld (1613-1680); a writer and moralist once said: "True eloquence consists of saying all that is necessary and only that which is.”

I took him at his few words. In fact, this quote is usually part of my signature in most forums.

Update on SIL-

Man. God is GOOD!!!! She is doing so much better now!! her temp is steady, her blood pressure is steady, now all we gotta do is try to keep her eyes open for longer than a minute at a time. It will take her awhile, but i so so thankful and so blessed that shes coming back around to us. My boss at work (he is a pharmD ) told me where her tumor was... it's the area of her brain that controls her temperature and her blood pressure levels... said the reason why they are going out of whack and is cause the tumor is gone. which makes sense! I cant thank you all enough for keeping the prayers coming for Kellie, Im not sure she's aware of the prayer chain we have going here. lol OH and to top it off, I got to see her eyes open!!! She is trying so hard to keep her eyes open now, and from what I understand, she keeps dreaming/re-living memories.... its like shes stuck in the twilight zone and shes having a bit of trouble coming to reality. Hopefully she goes home soon, I know that hospital bed is super uncomfortable and I know she wants real food, a real shower and water to drink lol.

Again, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! From the bottom of my heart. <3

I too, love the library. It makes me very happy to smell the books. My experience first started in High School where I would help teachers out: making copies, grading papers, imputing grades. I then had the fun job of cataloging all the books for the English Department. What I did was I had to put barcodes and English Stickers on the books and laminate them. I then, took the books and put them in the computer so that as each student got a book it was checked out through the library. After this was all done, I organized the books and put them back in each classroom where I made lovely labels for each book. I was the teacher's favorite person because I organized their classroom.:) I also volunteered at a local library a couple years ago and had fun. Where I live they have a picnic every year to celebrate the opening of the town and the library always has a quilt show, so I had the responsibility of putting that together: advertising and organizing it. It was good times.
I had a job as an assistant to the English department for my university. They ended up running out of funds and unfortunately my work-study program ended, so I was let go March of last year. But from September 2013 til I was let go, I got really acquainted with the English staff, since I came from a community college first and did all of my English classes there. I really enjoyed helping grade papers. Make and scan copies. Help with the front desk of the department also. Most of the time the professors would be teaching when I was clocked in, so a lot of time I also used it to study and do homework.

I don't venture much into the arguing side of BDF because I learned no one really listens they are to busy being right.....So I figure why waste the key strokes.......I have been so much calmer lately.....peace like a river in my soul.....hummm sounds like a song.....lol This is the only thread that I really enjoy at least we have fun here with the ole folks at home....and a few youngins tossed in to keep us young at heart....lol
I really want to thank everyone for the pleasant time I had here last night. To be honest, I have never seen so many people expressing themselves for the benefit of friends, family and fellowship. I want to say I slept so good last night and woke up this morning with the same joy I went to sleep with. Thank you so much for this peace...

Well, thank you Gary, but it doesn't look like I am going to be able to go for a week or two. My brother is getting out of the Hospital tomorrow and I will need to look after him a few days.
Okay. Well, family is important! Look after your brother. The hogs will still be there later on... :D

( "In that case, I will pray for your brother also..." )

It was definitely "a Monday" -- for sure! :( :( :(

I hope all of you had a better 'Monday' than I had...

And sleep eludes me yet again.............

Went to a family get together once and the lady of the house was having a hard time staying awake as the evening progressed. She had perched herself next the piano on a piano stool and was leaning her elbow on the end of the piano sort of propping herself up and every once in a while, maybe four times her elbow slipped and hit the piano keys and she would wake right up and say oh dear.

Hope you get some sleep.
