When a person that is saved passes away, where does their spirit and soul go? I have heard so many different things, so i thought i would ask here and see what i get.

Paul declared 'I would rather depart and be with Christ which is far better' (rather than remaining on earth) - Phil 1.23. Thus H would be with Christ in Heaven

He also declared the when a Christian dies he is 'absent from the body, present with the Lord' (2 Cor 5.6-8).

Thus it is quite clear that as declared in Ecclesiastes 12.7, when we die our 'body returns to the earth, and the spirit returns to the God Who gave it.'

Ecclesiates 12:7
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 ¶ Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all SLEEP, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the DEAD shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ro 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

That day He visited Sheol. Hades. Under the earth. 'Paradise' (2 Cor 12; Lk).
He also visited Tartarus, then, as Peter writes. To announce His victory to
imprisoned fallen angels, who had done their thing in Genesis before 'Noah's'
flood.
After 45 or so hours............hallelujah, He resurrected and was both designated
Son of God out of resurrection (Rm 1:3-4); as well as became a life-giving Spirit
in resurrection (Jn 7:37-39; 6:63; 16:7; 20:22; Rv 2:1, 7; 22:17; 1 Cor 15:45;
6:17; 2 Cor 3:16-17) to enter His disciples

We do not possess a soul, but are a living soul, as per KJV Genesis 2:7~

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
