Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

Philippians 2:15 That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world

Joel 3:15 The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.

Numbers 24:17 I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near: a star shall come out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel; it shall crush the forehead of Moab and break down all the sons of Sheth.

Genesis 37:9 Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me

Genesis 22:17 I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies,

Revelation 1:20 As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Jude 1:13 Wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.

1 cor 15: 40-42There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

Revelation 8:12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night.

The Moon( Church) reflects the light of the sun ( Yeshua/ Jesus). Each star a person in the true church, we are the body. So I was thinking revelation 8:12 is talking about the light of Yeshua being cut by a 3rd in the earth as a 3rd of the true church ( moon) is taken out. A 3rd of his people the stars light goes out

John 8:12 [SUP]12 [/SUP]When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life

.”
Matthew 5 13You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his flavor, with which shall it be salted? it is thereafter good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light to all that are in the house

It is good for seeing how stars, is used in some passages. And I say I can see God calling His children stars.

I don't see, where your getting this part thought "The Moon( Church)" .

Everytime I read of the moon. Or Months, it always seems to do with Satan. or Satan's time. Lunar. - ( Revelation 13:5 ) Remember the kid that was possessed ? He was lunatic , of the moon or Satan.

The Candle sticks in Revelation is said to represent the church

Rev. 1:

20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Psalm 89:37 it will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky."

The moon is a symbol of the Church. The moon has no light of her own, but is witness to the light of the sun and shines in the darkest night.

There's just no mention of the church meaning moon . But, the church is mentioned in the chapter 1 of Revelation in verse 20 along with a candle stick .

If there is a chapter that shows that, that perhaps i missed, then that's okay. Where is that written ?

Matthew 2

2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
Revelation 22

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
i have always marveled at the little lights shining in the darkness.. not always visible where i abide :)

When i go elsewhere there is many upon many.

Genesis 15

2And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?3And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 4And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. 5And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 6And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. 7And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.

How Great Thou Art.

This passage is all about the time of the LORD and what is going on with his people. The sun turns into darkness( Sackcloth) ( The Lord mourning for his Children for they are no more. The moon into blood ( the blood of the innocent, The people declared innocent because they are the Lords.

joel 2 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.
For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,
As the Lord has said,
Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.
