I tried suicide 2 times. God knows how much pain we were in just like you said. God is a forgiving God. People have been lied to for so long they believe the lies. Thats why we have so many churches teaching falsehoods. I'm sure you asked God to forgive you and you are forgiven. God loves you very much and would never hold it agaisnt you that you were hurting so much. If the person has been saved and did kill themself they are going right straight to God for him to love them. The unforgivable sin is to reject Jesus to the day you die. Or if one is saved and they keep doing evil things and don't repent. Means they were never Gods children in the first place. A person can be saved but God was never taught to them good and they go on doing evil things for years and years but one day they realize they are doing wrong and they repent and stop and go on and try their best to be good. God loves all the same even when we are lost in sin not knowing him good enough yet.

wwjd_kilden,
I agree the mental torture is unbearable at times. That is the way my Mom was. She suffered daily. In her suicide note she wrote that is was unbearable and she said she is at peace now. So people should be more understanding and loving with people who suffer depression, especially " Christians" GBU

I was talking to my mom and she says suicide and blasphemy of the holy spirit are both unforgivable sins. I asked her if she lied and died where would she go and she said she would go to heaven because she's a Christian. She says Christians would never take their own life, but I disagree. I mean I am a Christian and attempted suicide. I mean when you are really depressed its so hard to lean on Jesus. What do you guys think?

no suiced is not the anwser never God doesnt put us thew anything we can handle so stiffin up the upper lip and say God its in your hands, do as you please, but spare me my life

if everything is a pile of ashes, move on and plant your self else where talk to some friends about things that bother you and i will pray for you ok amen

Gods peace be with you bother and just know you got friends with you by your side

Suicide does not automatically result in hell. Certain circumstances (eg. mental illness such as depression) can diminish his repsonsibilty for such an act which means that not all suicides are mortal sins.

What book of the Bible did you find that information in?

Which bit are you referring to? Suicide, sin, diminished responsibilty, hell, or something else?

Many years ago I experienced real depression and was close to commit suicide, so I know what it is. Depression is caused by a too long lack of true love that can even alter the chemicals in our brain. Even though pills may help balance the chemicals only the love of Christ can heal us completely so that we don´t have to use pills anymore. God is love but He is also the greatest Healer.

NO NO NO... Theres is only one way into Heaven. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Once you have Truely accepted Him vvvv

5This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[b] sin.

You are going to heaven.
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

Jesus Christ cleansed us from all our sins as Christ followers. There is only one judgment for sin and that is Hell which if we have accepted the Lord we are not going there.

Even if we die as an unrepentant murderer?

If we do not repent and change our lives its not good. We can believe and still not make it to heaven. There is more than just believing. James 2:20: faith without works is dead. If we don't repent and change how can we be forgiven? If we don't ask for forgiveness we can't be.

YOU GOT IT RIGHT cUP.

Those who argue, secretly think that there are good sins and bad sins and their's are ok but someone else's are not.

Something that continued the controversy for me in this topic was found when King Saul visited the Witch of Endor and summoned the spirit of Samuel and Samuel said to Saul that Saul would "be with me". King Saul took his life to keep the Philistines from knowing that he was a king and defiling his body with that information, and we see the question of where Samuel was (he was certainly dead, that much was explained). This passage is in 1 Samuel 28 and 1 Samuel 31 where he takes his life. It does not address what is meant by being with him, so I get confused because Samuel was certainly in God's favor. Samuel was devoted to God in 1 Samuel 1 when Hannah dedicated him to God directly.
At the same time, in today's terms, God, and only God, seems to have the right to dismiss life from the body. He will use who He wills as long as they have faith to carry on for Him. We should just count ourselves as strong enough to do so. He created our very bodies for us to live physically inside of them. Only He should, I think, deserve the right to release our souls to Him and all in His due course of time. He knows our potential is Great and He wishes the very best for all of us. Of these last two things I am certain. Therefore our obligation is just to endure for Him. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NO temptation has caught you (controlled you) except what is COMMON to man (we have all experienced that same type of sin) and God is faithful (He is full to overflowing with faith) He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (it may be the hardest thing you face, but with God BY YOUR SIDE and IN YOUR INSIDES, it seems so much easier.) and WHEN (yes, it will happen) you are tempted, HE will provide (one of the names for God is Provider) a way out (exit door) so that you may rise up (a victor with a crown of Eternal life) under it. (THAT WAS FUN!!!!)

God can only decide such cases of murder, not us.
Its better that we Don't Do any such wrong deeds.
Moreover the fact that we cannot lean on Jesus during tough times is wrong.
Jesus is there beside always to help us in and at all times.

There is no doubt that suicide is wrong. God gave us life and we don't have the right to take life, it is murder to oneself. But I am saying that I will leave the judging to God, it is not for me to judge. I will never know if my Mom will make it to Heaven. Not my judgment to make.

In Gods eye sin is sin. It is humans that put a degree on sin not God.

Wrong opinion and wrong thread. I feel for people like you who worship their own bellies rather than God. The sad thing you don't even know it.

i'm sorry i have to diagree, the bible is clear we have to endure to the end, thou shall not murder. if you are truly saved you will know that life is prescious even if you don't think so jesus does! and we are the temple of the living GOD and the bible says if ''anyone'' destroys that temple he will destroy them.now that word destroy dosn't sound like save does it?now i realize we all know people that have been lost this way but we can't deny what the word says, because a lie makes us feel better.we have to tell the truth to those still living who may be considering this, those that are gone have made that decision but there is hope for those who are still living 1 cor6:19-20 1cor2:16-17 if anyone would tell you that it is ok to murder yourself they are lying, ask GOD and see what he says! and if anyone is considering this please don't JESUS LOVES YOU and his grace is sufficent. and if you think you are right that you will go to heaven, and i,m wrong.just think of how much you gamble to find out.if im wrong i lose nothing,if you are wrog the blood of everyone who beleived that you would not go to hell is on your hands, and you will have to give account for every idle word.please consider what you are wagering words are powerful.everylife is tough and but there is nevera reseason to end it.[/quote]
