For though we walk in the flesh, we do not look at things in the flesh (how our physical eyes interpret things). Or those that sorround us do, considering that the World has its system, and that system concerns people who tend to give GOD a very minimum part of their lives (sundays or when they in deep trouble), being alienated(through their own choices) from the life of GOD following after their own lusts, whom which their father(satan) gives or plants into their hearts
(John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.)
Now the word of GOD speaks of proving or testing all THINGS.
How do we go about it?
Joh_16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Just by reading those two verses we notice two differences.
One - the devil speaks of himself, why? he is the ruler of his kingdom (the very evil spiritual system of the world)
and the Holy SPIRIT speaks of things HE HEARD, from who THE FATHER? and whatever the FATHER speaks is TRUTH.
THE HOLY Spiritual System, where JESUS IS THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAYED, AND SITS AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER as our advocate.
Where we are challenged to see if indeed we are in the FAITH whereby by whose word do we live by? knowing that Faith cometh by Hearing and hearing by the WORD OF CHRIST.
Now when proving things, whether prophecies or doctrines, it is not only a matter of knowing or remembering a LOT OF SCRIPTURES it is humbling our selves before the LORD and ASKING HIM through HIS SPIRIT to GUIDE US into ALL TRUTH concerning that matter. It is HIS SPIRIT singling out two or more scriptures(by two or three witnesses...) and GIVING LIFE to them and so IGNITING OUR HEARTS (HIS WORD IS ETERNAL LIFE) seeing that it corresponds to that situation, place or person.
Isa 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
If the word of GOD is able to take life and give it, Then it is not something to take lightly about, but to be CAREFULLY handled and we can only do this through the HOLY SPIRIT, not of our own minds and common sense, the HOLY SPIRIT MUST LEAD US, AND GUIDE US AND TEACH US so we may FULLY understand(seeing we grow from glory to glory, understanding to understanding, revelation to revelation, faith to faith) as we grow in CHRIST.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
The biggest trouble i have seen, in me and in my fellow brothers and sisters is understanding SCRIPTURE in the EYE of whom the Holy Spirit has given a revelation to. Now we might count it as heresy for a time and time, and yes there are things that are openly UNTRUE and easily debunked.
But whether they are false or not, the word of GOD tells us that, we should not BE QUICK to SPEAK, but QUICK to HEAR or in other words, we should LISTEN to what the HOLY SPIRIT is saying concerning that matter before we BRUSH IT aside.
And it is not a matter of me or anyone else being right, it is about glorifying GOD.
And we should take it to HIM when we hear different views, or contradicting views (to what we already believe)
I THANK GOD that HE can SPEAK and HE does LISTEN/HEAR US. and yet to gain to understanding in things we ought to totally surrender to HIM, pointing out that HE knoweth, the but we don't. the very FATHER of truth.

Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
