Well when I was praying, I wasn't giving myvworry over to God. I was giving him over to God completely tovdraw him to himself and transform his life. Believe me, there's still a Lot I don't understand about this situation but i know that God has shared a lot with me over the years about just him, just me and about both me and him. Even with "this" even though everything has calmed down a Lot these past few days, I still have questions. Its not that I have stopped praying for him, I haven't but just questioning some thingsvv

I think some of you need to be more in tune to the calling and voice of God and stop all the backlash. I figured out what the test was that God was giving me. He was testing to see if I would give up my "Isaac" and I did and right after I did, I felt a release and a peace and I feel like everything will be taken care of in time.

And to the person who said it sounds like I haven't been a Christian for very long, yes I have been. God has spoken to me often. I knew what I was talking about til a good majority of you confused me and made me doubt everything. Good job BTW.

By the way most of you responded to me which sounded a lot like u making fun of me or not knowing what I was talking about, shame on you.

Learn how to respond to people w/o making fun of them or with the backlash most of u gave me. Its responses like yours that would drive a lot of non Christians away. Instead of responding in love and with questions instead of in hate.

To GuessWho, are you even a Christian??? From your response it doesn't sound like it.

And to wwjd kilden, where did u hear that we can't give a person over to God?? It doesn't have to be their choice if you're praying for them.

Get your facts straight people!! If u don't know what you're talking about, don't respond. Its a great way to confuse people.
God does not lead us into temptation. Why would it be necessary for God to test us?

Hebrews 12:3-14 God chastens believers. Does this compare to Genesis 22?

Because God tests our faith. Believe me, he's tested me many times before. No he doesn't lead us into temptation but he tests us.

I heard this lady's testimony at my parents church when I was young. Although I don't remember the specifics, I do remember her saying that God had tested her faith many years and she often fought against him but finally the test ended and God brought her through and revealed some things to her that she never would've understood beforehand if she wasn't put thru all of that.

So yes I firmly believe God tests us not just bc of that story but bc I have also experienced it many times before.

How does that relate to Hebrews 12?

Does God know your heart? Does God know your heart better than you do? Any testing would not be for Gods benefit but for yours.

Yes God does know my heart. But yes I know and agree. The tests are for my benefit not his.

Then allow them to draw you closer to the Lord. Seek His comfort and grow in Him.

There is nothing wrong with praying for God to use whatever circumstances required to bring a soul to Him. Consider 1 Cor 5:1-5 where Paul said they should pray that a man engaged in open sin be given to the destruction of his flesh that others not be defiled by witnessing his behavior.
