You're actually battling a spiritual warfare of the mind and heart. Hmm.. Revelation? I think Yes.

That is what God is trying to do is to get everything back working in harmony with each other and which the devil confuses everything.

Yes! The devil uses your emotions to get to you. But we most remember to put on the whole armor of God and anoint our head with oil! The devil is after our MIND.

Read the gospel of Mark chapter 5, the beginning with the man from the tombs.
He could not be restrained and was inflicting upon himself cuts with stones - I guess because he didnt have a razor - reminds of psychiatric patients a bit?

So peacebestill, are you trained in clinically diagnosing a mental disorder? Could you even recognize mental illness versus demon possession?

I think if you are stuggling with your mental health, you really do need to see a doctor. I have seen people see demons behind every chair, table etc. These people were healed by taking medicines.

I minister to those with bipolar disorder, and many are Christians with a strong faith in Jesus. I think they would be insulted by this characture of mental illness.

My thought is generally, the devil does not attack the mind, but rather the spiritual person. That is why we do not struggle against flesh and blood (the brain!) but rather stand firm in the armour of God, and use the Word of God as our sword.

"got to speak up against false testimony of people healed by pharmapseutica from angela53510 there."
"wolves might hunt in packs."
"who knows which is head, which is tail or feet or what other what of what beast or so, "image of such" or other evil cluster or false nation, false church [or other "what" :p] amongst shrinks and other **expletive deleted***."
The Cross. Jesus LoveChrist :)

this subject came up in another conversation i had elsewhere -- if a person does not have love for God, is that a sign of a mental disorder, or a spiritual disorder?
how to tell? like, if thinking of God gives you no emotional response at all other than a sense of emptiness, how to decide to counsel that person to take anti-depressants or to seek and understand God?
is love measurable by physical and emotional means? is it chemical?
should an emotional response be what's looked to at all? is a person who does not have strong emotional reactions to anything necessarily mentally or spiritually ill, or is stoicism a perfectly natural behavior?

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (II Corinthians 4:3-4)

Everyone who is lost is lost because "the god of this world", Satan, "hath blinded their minds". Also, "the armor of God" or our spiritual weaponry does pertain directly to our minds. I mean, not only does said "armor" include a "helmet" (which covers our heads and minds), but Paul also went on to say the following to these same Corinthians in relation to the spiritual battle for our minds:

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds); Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." (II Corinthians 10:3-6)

"The weapons of our warfare" which "are NOT carnal" are spiritual and they are most definitely to be used in relation to our minds or in relation to "casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ". Jesus said that His sheep would hear His voice and follow Him and that the voice of a stranger they would not follow. Well, we must be able to hear "the voice of the stranger" in order to willfully choose not to follow the same, right? Where would we hear such a voice? I don't know about you, but I've often heard such "voices" in my mind and when I've recognized them as being demonic in nature and dealt with them accordingly, then I've also walked in victory.

Absolutely, most don't know, unless they pursue healing in Christ. I was bipolar manic depressant - i have been healed of it all.

it was my thinking patterns over a long period of time really, it took a lot of renewing of my mind. casting down strongholds I had built up against the knowledge of God.

And no I have no degree in phychology - which is actually pseudo-science - there is a book on the soul, but unbelievers don't know that, so won't judge them

hmm I am not sure - wasn't Satan attacking the Mind of Jesus - and Jesus replied it is written? The same mental questions really asked to Adam?

Don't we renew our mind with the word? Isn't that a mental activity

At times, yes. Satan can only come at us with "lies" and if we believe just one of his lies - we can come into a state of dis--ease mentally. Our stinking-thinking needs to stay in check by His Word. Our self-focusing needs to be subdued and thoughts taken captive to the obedience OF Christ. To think His thoughts is to Know Him and the two ways only to Know Him is through His Word and communing with Him - trusting His Spirit to guide, teach and divide soul from spirit and discern the thoughts and intents of our own hearts ... if we're open to Him. He doesn't beat us when He shows us our nature -- but He will quicken His Word to us as we're reading it and Always provides the way out of what we're either doing or thinking that's not from Him, in a way that gives us assurance and not condemnation. God is GOOD and if just "will to do His will" - He's as gentle with us, by His Word and Spirit, to treat us as what we are then --- "baby sheep" --- regardless of how long that we've been saved. He just needs willing hearts that want to be shown where their hearts are wrong and their thoughts that come from their hearts need "transforming".

That thought about the enemy's assistance just came to me this morning as well - but in all cases - The Word of God is what created us and we can turn only to The Word of God to fix what He's created - for only He knows the root cause and only The Word of God can deal with both, the renewing of the mind and to back off the enemy - as that's all that Jesus and His men and women ever used for the last however many thousands of yrs -- if we realize that HE is GOD and we'd have to go back to Genesis for the Whole of the Story of how HE works through His Word alone.

Blessings, Sister!!
