Why is it a witch hunt?

Do you not refute false teachings here everyday. Because someone is popular he gets a free pass?

Trying to understand?

I have better things to do that try to discredit someone, if. See someonpost a comment from him I Disagree, I will comment, otherwise no use going on a witch hunt, it never changed anyone's view before.

again, if you have proof show it, otherwise, I will just go off what we have seen posted aver the last year and a half.

Actually, I have seen stuff posted from JP which I disagreed with, and I did discuss it in the past,

Watch ....it is a short clip. There is a movement that not only says we are healed but also that we are immortal and he becomes very close to saying the same.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPIaS2ijNr8
Unfortunately, many purport that the soul of man is immortal despite the fact that Scripture attests that only God is immortal. It is a whole other discussion, though, tied to the fate of unbelievers...

Prince is spot on when it comes to the true gospel of the grace of God in Christ. All his teachings lift up Christ Himself and point us to Him.

There are some things I agree with and some I don't. I don't believe in tithing the way he sees it but I am not going to slander him over it.

The truth is that we all could be labeled as giving deception - even you and me...selah ( because what we believe will conflict with someone else's church teachings and thus we would be deemed as being deceptive. )

To keep the malice and the malice-filled deceitfulness down to a minimum - here is what I said again above.

I have said many times that I don't believe what any one minister or denomination believes about every subject.

This is one of the reasons why I don't interact with those that are slanderers of others in the body of Christ just like Paul said to do in 1 Cor. 5:11 and Romans 16:17.

He is a public speaker, he places ideas in the public arena, therefore we can publicly discuss his ideas.

I am not attacking his personal life or his personal walk with God.

I am exposing what he teaches.

Ahh I sense a little turbalance in your statement pastor,,, that's ok even pastors have feelings. I'm sorry if you feel that way, I can turn on a dime and join right in even right after a heated conversation, surely I can't exspect others to be that way as well I get it, it's all good pastor... :)

I am also confused as to how once again another thread has been turned into a war against a man who has never been here.

grace777 was falsely accused. Should that not be our discussion,

the op made a point, what about that discussion,

why is it every time we turn around Stephen has to turn any grace thread into a JP free for all?

Just ignore the malice-filled posts and speak about the goodness of the Lord and about the "I wills" of the faithfulness of God in His word to us. All that "baiting" has a purpose...selah

Why, does someone hear need to see it's.

been there done that, actually if you read the top of the BDF forum rules, you will see discussing Joseph prince and hypergrqce has been outlawed by the mods, the reason is because they get to heated, and many threads have had to be shut down.

I have no malice, I may have sorrow that a false teaching sometimes causes irreparable harm in the life of a believer.

If I can prevent one person from following a false teaching (I did not say teacher) than I believe it should at least be brought forward so a person knows, especially when a teaching is far outside of scripture.

I find many of his teachings so helpful yet I am completely baffled by this idea that communion can heal.

People should know this part of his teachings....that is all and then they can decide.

I agree...we could rip apart every other preacher that we dis-agrees with on every subject and it is just distracting from the preaching of Christ Himself.

The whole point of communion to me is to "remember Me" and what Christ has done. "Take eat and drink and do this in remembrance of Me".

Someone could start a thread on communion if they like and I would be happy to participate in it.

Personally I love taking communion and remembering what the Lord has done for us! I have a bottle of wine by my bed for that specific purpose.

Huh could this be reason why folks try and say a thread is about hyper grace and the like, to get attention about it in hopes a mod will agree with them, makes me wonder people can have strange deep intentions.

Well I did not bring it up.:D

But I do like to set keep the record straight.... we are to pursue truth.

I only say to search out all teachings, investigate and compare it to scripture.
We all have a duty to do this. Je suis fini! :)

I feel the same way about some teachings causing harm to the body of Christ. I believe it's good to hear a matter out before making a judgment too and I agree with your premise on teachings...:)

However what we deem outside of scripture can be subjective. For example - Some believe in tongues - others don't.

Personally I have absolutely no interest in going over any one preachers beliefs on every subject. We will all have different beliefs in certain areas.
