Look what your saying trofimus at such a young age. If a person (a lurker perhaps) came here and read what joaniemarie stated would they surmise that what she said was unbiblical because she followed derick prince? I do not know joaniemarie but I do know who you are and I have read a lot of your post.
What did the Preacher say in Ecclesiastes? He said there is a season or a time and place for everything. What does joanies' words with your vast wisdom at the ripe old age of 33 have to do with her following prince? To be sure I have even spoken out on these boards that prince (in my opinion) is a false teacher.
However, here is what you don't know trofimus and it can be found at Philippians 1:18. and specfically at vs18. Let me give you some context first. Paul wrote this letter while in prison in Rome. The Philippian Church hear about Paul's improsonment and they wanted to know how things were going with him.
Now look what Paul says starting at vs15, "Some to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; (you can put joanie's name here). vs16, the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; (you can put Jude 3 here). Vs17, the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause distress in my imprisonment. Vs18, WHAT THEN? ONLY THAT IN EVERY WAY, WHETHER IN PRETENSE OR IN TRUTH, CHRIST IS PROCLAIMED, AND IN THIS I REJOICE, YES AND I WILL REJOICE."
The point being, what does it matter? This does not mean Paul is condoning preaching from false motives, but he knew the hears could be saved when Christ is preached regardless. In other words, false ministerial movtives cannot cancel the truth of the gospel as the power of God unto salvation. So trofimus, use some discernment and learn to know when to press/push or just back off and leave things alone.
