I saw a sign in front of a church today that said, "Jesus paid the price... now He wants you to have the change." Apart from the obvious punny play on words, how do you take this? True? False? Like? Dislike? Share your thoughts. (Curious cats want to know.)

Leave your sinful ways behind....die to self and live for Christ. (have the change in your life required for eternal living...not instant gratification living)
I like the sign. :)

hey cool cat,

I like and dislike at the same time.

I do understand what they are saying, just like grace did, which is the part I like about it. but I think they could've compared salvation through faith alone to something better than change from a $20 or whatever.

the price He paid to what we receive undeservedly how can one compare, imagine the King of Kings saying to you' I'll take your place, take your punishment and make you co-heirs to my Kingdom in doing so'. However thats what He did for us,still amazes me, I'm neutral on the comment id have to say, sounds good, but came at a high price to start with

If we look at it as a worldly unbeliever, then it makes perfect sense. It would at least make me curious enough to ask a question.

In Christ,
John

They're great encouragement sometimes.

Another down the road from me says "Goals are dreams with a deadline"

It just means that Jesus wants us to change our “evil” ways, doesn’t it?

I dont really understand it to be honest. "Having the change" could be taken in many ways.

Speaking of Church signs, I got a good one for you. "IF ALL MOUNTAINS WERE SMOOTH, WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CLIMB THEM."

Change made me think we just get a lil bit. God gave his life for us to have a life over flowing with super abundance of him and everything else.
