The Lord said in Revelation 2:10 “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

Many may think the
Devils prison is a literal brick and iron prison somewhere. As I’ve heard some say the seat of Satan and synagogue of Satan is a single literal seat in a single brick and mortar synagogue in a certain physical city somewhere in the Middle East. But that would be judging the spiritual symbolisms found in the Revelation based on outward appearances only. And it would also be thinking like a carnally minded man who only knows what he knows naturally, or in the physical sense.

I won’t get into what I believe the ten days of tribulation represent, as I believe they are also symbolic of time. But what I want to show in this thread is what I believe the
Devils prison represents. We are told in prophecy that many of the saints would be overcome by the spirit of this world during a spiritual flood period, as there is also a spiritual war taking place at the present between the forces of darkness and the forces of Light.

Pay attention to what Jesus says here about being cast into prison…

Matthew 5:21-26
“Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;[SUP]24 [/SUP]Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.[SUP]25 [/SUP]Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.”

By not forgiving one another, or being angry with our brother without a cause, or by not trying to reconcile our differences with our adversaries can end up landing us in this spiritual prison of darkness. Remember Jesus came to set us free from captivity and the bondage of
sin, but the Devil wants us to be in captivity and in the bondage to sin. And when we are imprisoned by the Devil, we are also in darkness.

But if we abide in the Light of the Truth, the Truth shall set us free. Isaiah 42:7; "To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house."

Isaiah 61:1;"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"

So if you have apologies to be given, give them. And if you have forgiveness to be given, forgive them. And if you need to be reconciled with a brother, then reconcile your differences while it is called today. And I guarantee if you abide in these things you will feel your heart being set free from the power of darkness. Peace and God bless

Here is another parable that speaks along the same lines....

Matthew 18:21-35 “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
[SUP]33 [/SUP]Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
[SUP]34 [/SUP]And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

This is one of the lessons taught in scripture that many need to learn well and remember, we are held accountable for what we allow into our homes our minds and ultimately our spirit, there are many voices in this world calling to the sons of men, the enemy's is usually the loudest, we should separate ourselves from worldly pursuits and pleasures and make more effort to remain close to our source of strength and life, what we willingly allow into our spirit will surely effect our relationship with Him, the enemy knows the more he can separate us from Him the better chance he has of causing us to fall, his purpose is to misrepresent the Fathers character and bring reproach upon His righteous and Holy name, just as he lied to Eve (you shall not surely die) so he repeats the same lie in different forms to believers today, attempting to weaken and enfeeble our spiritual connection to our Savior , although the enemy can Never take us from His hand , he can cause us to forfeit great blessings by compromise, we much be watchful (1 pet. 5:8) our Savior paid an infinite price for our redemption and He has defeated the enemy already, we must not only realize this but acknowledge our victory through Him every time the enemy tries to tempt us, let us always call upon His strength and power when we are assailed by the enemy, He will always come to our aid and enable and empower us to overcome and stand as one redeemed. shalom.

Isaiah 49:7-9 "Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.[SUP]8 [/SUP]Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
[SUP]9 [/SUP]That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places."
