When the Bible says Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom. Is the Gospel salvation in Jesus only as in his death and resurrection? Is that gospel of the Kingdom more than salvation? What do you think?

There is only one Gospel (good news) whether you call it Kingdom of Heaven, Kingdom of God, Gospel of grace, Christ Kingdom, Kingdom of Christ...we all have to come in the same way

"The Good News" is that we inherit the Kingdom.

If the big deal was just bringing us back to life..... to continue living here on the same old Earth we died in..... that wouldn't be very good news.

Adam and Eve would have lived forever in the same sinful state we are in, had they not been barred from the Tree of Life, and thus allowed to die.

The Kingdom of God is talking about the sphere of God's influence.

The sphere of God's influence on earth increased when Christ was incarnate. It continues to increase as each individual is converted, and the Holy Spirit resides in them and rules their lives. Eschatologically it will increase substantially during the Millennium and the New Heavens and New Earth, when Christ returns and rules over all mankind.

The group I was part of considered the Millennium to be the exclusive reference to the Kingdom of God, but this is a juvenile view. It's only one of a number of manifestations of God's kingdom. The overall concept is that God's sphere of influence is progressively increasing.

Matthew 13:31 [SUP]31 [/SUP]He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. [SUP]32 [/SUP]Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

Matt 13:33-[SUP]33 [/SUP]He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds[SUP][b][/SUP] of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

What Gospel did Jesus preach? What Gospel did he commission the disciples to preach?

Willie-T, if this was what Jesus said to preach why is it left out so much. I hear a lot about eternal life, not going to hell and sins forgiven. I do not hear about the kingdom and what that inheritance is.

Yes, it is more.

Christ's Salvation Plan is The Father's Salvation Plan, both are one and the same. It's just that what is contained in that Salvation is not often taught in most Churches. You have to learn about it for yourself in study of all of God's Word.

He is going to restore the kingdom of Israel as in its days of old, that's one of the major events of His Salvation.

He will establish Gentile kings in His Salvation also, which means the idea of nations on earth will still exist.

He is going to change the earth, moving mountains by flattening them, and raise valleys, and His River will feed and heal the waters upon the earth, cleansing them.

He will establish a perfect creation, as the tree of life will bear its fruits according to its months, and it will bear fruit perpetually, never being consumed up.

No more hunger, no more thirst, no more death. The idea of everlasting will be upon everything.

We will never die again, won't be subject to hot or cold, nor learn war anymore.

There will be no more sea (oceans and such), which points to a lot of the waters covering 70% of this earth will be moved to another location, up in the sky most likely, plugging the holes in today's sky around the earth. This will create a greenhouse with even temperatures around the earth, no more hot or cold spots. The earth will become literally a Paradise like His Garden of Eden.

Wild animals will no longer kill, the lion and the lamb will sit together and eat straw (herbavores instead of carnivores).

Wickedness and sin will be no more, for God will create us a joy.

You'd have to ask the people who choose to leave it out. Frankly, I can hardly even fathom the thinking of many people right here on this forum who only seem to see believing in Jesus as fire insurance.

This should not even be a question really because there is only ONE gospel.

Anything that teaches other then Christ coming in the flesh, dying on the cross for our sins, resurrected on the third day, and following His teachings and commands as believers is another gospel.

Anything that allows or excuses sinful behavior to continue is also not of the gospel.

Rather the scripture says Gospel of Christ, kingdom of heaven, kingdom of God, eternal life, or the promise are all speaking of the same doctrine of Jesus Christ. They are not separate individual gospels !!!
