the government should execute the rape victims as well?

Elijah, If you read the Testimony of the Messiah, you will see how we are to behave.

The attempted stoning of the woman is an example for us all.

Matthew 5

38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Love and Forgiveness is bestowed upon us by a Gracious GOD.

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, `Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, `You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. (Matthew 5:22)
brother, you should pray right now for your sin.
by calling me ignorant, you just bought a ticket to hell
Without cause . Matthew 5:22

King James Version (KJV)

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and
whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

There is more then enough cause for me to be angry with you.

And I did not call you Raca or fool, I want you to at least have some hope you can change. So I would never call a person that. I wont tell you what that means.

Exodus 21

15 And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
16 And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Matthew 5

39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Quite a difference wouldn't you say.

Rape victims often do not feel they are able to signal for help and that their chances of survival are higher if they do not fight back.

Compliance is not consent. Saying so because we want some Bible verses to be more palatable is scary.

[FONT=돋움]Deuteronomy 22[/FONT]

[TABLE]
[TR]
[TD="class: p13 eng ln16"]23.[/TD]
[TD="class: p13 eng ln16"]If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her,[/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]
[TABLE]
[TR]
[TD="class: p13 eng ln16"]24.[/TD]
[TD="class: p13 eng ln16"]you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death -- the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.[/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]
As we can read from the bible, not only rape is a sin, but also being raped is sin.
if the rape victim didn't scream, the judge should prosecute the rape victim and sentence both to death penalty.
I'm not a bible fanatic or anything,but if you are a good christian, we should do exactly as god wants.
That my friend is what as known as the devils argument.....You can take stuff like that out of context all day long if twisting things to pervert it is your objective.....Here's an example from Matthew Chapter 4
[SUP]
"6[/SUP] And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

[SUP]7[/SUP] Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."

Yes, true what satan quoted was written......but twisted contextually in such a way as to lead Jesus into sin (Failed attempt obviously, satan is more effective when it comes to manipulating an average mortal) That's why this other verse exists....

2 Timothy 2:15-16

"[SUP]15 [/SUP]Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

[SUP]16 [/SUP]But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness."

John chapter 8 is worth bringing up as well

"[SUP]3 [/SUP]The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group [SUP]4 [/SUP]and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. [SUP]5 [/SUP]In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women.Now what do you say?” [SUP]6 [/SUP]They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. [SUP]7 [/SUP]When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stoneat her."

Also, this one is another important verse

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again"

Obviously, the wisest thing to do is never cast any stones or judge at all.....How can a person engage in execution when these points are kept in mind?

Perhaps some of you may think this response is a little too indepth for a "troll"....but I don't know the OP, maybe he actually believes that based on his reading.....to a non-bible scholar.....what he's saying might appear to be logical to him. Which if you study the bible in it's entirety, it's the most illogical conclusion you could come to. I'm just trying to point out why his conclusion is illogical.

I have been in situations where i have froze and could not make a sound if i tried.

But from the verse i believe that what is being described that would warrant death is a lady that was in town and did not scream.

I say give him some leeway.......Deuteronomy is extremely confusing for a person unfamiliar with the bible.....it actually CAN be read the way he's suggesting (Not that it's correct, but it could feasibly be understood that way by some people)

What are you talking about? I'm responding to people who say that if a rape victim does not scream, it's because she's somehow consenting. Where am I twisting scripture? Where am I even mentioning scripture? Perhaps you misclicked.

Folks, I'm not a christian, I have no christians around me. but I started reading it because I thought it might be a good idea.
but how you react to a person who questions the bible is not the way jesus would do.
I'm so disappointed that you don't really greet unbelievers around here.
maybe I should just live the way I used to live then.
