You always manage to create a reasonable doubt that you know Gods grace.

It is very evident that you do not know all the truth about Gods grace.

I do know what Gods grace has done for me. Perhaps you should consider what it has done for you. Instead of making up silly stuff that it cannot do.

For the cause of Christ

And that's the reason he resides on my "Ignore" List...........ain't nobody gonna dare edify the Church with him around.

Anyway............If a Scripture deals with God's grace, and it's posted here, that's fine with me........

However, this thread is about EDIFICATION...........and I realize that this is an alien concept to some here........Didn't know about that other thread anyway.............

I'm being edified every day. Talk about God being gracious!

Every day is a blessing for us, and every day we are edified is a double blessing. :)

...evidently the OP of this thread does not want a thread that thoroughly looks at grace....

The truth about God's grace is so precious and will always be opposed. Not surprised there are usually a few on every wonderful thread such as this.

Amazing Grace.
How Sweet The Sound.

Again, it's beyond any reasonable doubt that God's grace comes with conditions ...
How much more heresy are we going to have to put up with from you and the others on this board who speak the evil lies of works-based salvation and man-based responsibility to "maintain salvation"?

If not for the grace of God, offered without condition, guilty man would remain under His judgment and coming wrath. The wound inflicted upon all humankind by Adam's sin would be incurable, without healing. But blessed be God forever, there is another way for us.

Grace! This is the righteousness of God. The righteousness He has ordained, He provides, He endows! It is by faith given by His grace alone that saves through Jesus Christ, His Son, the Anointed Savior. Justifying faith granted us freely and forever allows us to respect Christ as the Savior our hearts have finally, in agony and hopelessness, called out for when they have realized there is nothing within us worth saving, but desperately wanting salvation, come to believe that it is available through Christ Jesus in all three of His anointed offices, as Prophet, Priest, and King.

By this faith, granted willingly by a loving and Almighty God, those hearts come to a point of trusting in Him, accepting Him, and cleaving to Him out of love, gratitude, thanksgiving, and praise. Such a love, such a gratitude for being salvaged from destruction can never be denied by the heart that knows where it was, what fate is faced, and by what amazing grace it was rescued.

Jews and Gentiles are alike welcome to God through Christ. There is no difference, His righteousness is upon all who but believe. It is not only offered to them, but set upon them as a crown, as a robe. It is free grace, mere mercy. There is nothing in us to deserve such favors. It comes freely upon us, but Christ bought it, and paid the price. And our faith, given without cost to us, has special regard for the blood of Christ, as that which has made the atonement. Blood shed in place of ours, blood spilled on a rude cross of wood to fulfill the destiny of its Owner that was established before the foundations of the Earth were laid, cannot be denied by anyone truly washed in it.

The man saved from the wreckage of Titanic, the Marine rescued from Khe Sanh, the woman given over to the hands of a rapist but snatched away from him by the brave passerby -- these will never, ever forget the name of the savior from that event nor the circumstances of it's coming about. So much more will one have indelibly stamped on his heart, mind, soul, and spirit Him who gave everything for him before he was ever even known by this world!

God, in all this, declares his righteousness. It is plain that He hates sin, when nothing less than the blood of Christ would satisfy for it. And it would not agree with His justice to demand the debt, when the Surety has paid it, and He has accepted that payment in full satisfaction. Grace has no conditions. It is pure heresy and evil to believe otherwise.

Think of it this way:

You are the defendant in the Courtroom of all courtrooms. The Law is the Prosecutor, God is the Judge and Jesus is your Defense Counselor. The Law reads a lifetime of charges against you, but before you can even enter a plea, Jesus, your Defense Counselor, says to God, "Your Honor, a grave mistake has been made. My client did not commit these offenses; I did. I am the guilty one, and in fact, my sentence has already been carried out in full." God says to Jesus and the Law, "The Court is satisfied; case dismissed." You are free and God's grace reigns supreme.

God's grace is in Jesus' works, not ours.

I gave a book, chapter, verse to back up my words in my initial post.

You make a personal attack on me then proceed to give an essay on your opinion.

Those who do not see God's saving grace is conditionally received and kept have closed their eyes and ears to the truth for the fables of men.

Who will receive God's grace unconditionally without faith, without repentance, without confession, without baptism? No one.

VigilantWarrior said it all so well, but here's the summary.:)

2 Thes 2:16-17
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,
comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

Grace is not the righteousness of God, it is his unmerited love and favor towards us..

Righteousness is a position or right standing with God you attain through faith of what Jesus did on the cross...

You are saved by God's unmerited favor and love, not by his righteousness....righteousness is restored to you after you receive what Jesus did through your faith...

Besides you are a major contradiction in terms...you self admit to believing in predestination and unconditional election and in another post admit you are not assured of your personal salvation until you die and here you talk about grace being righteousness...You talk about making disciples to go witness for Jesus, but are not sure you will get to Heaven, you state a Christian cannot know if a person is lost or not, only God does. You then wax poetic with long essay answers like this and contradict yourself....

This one is always a party pleaser.

Romans 6:15
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
hi there. :)

to clarify, one of the reasons we celebrate the grace of God in Christ
is because it is that which enables us to obey Him. :)

(just in case it needed to be said)

Sadly, I see, this thread intended to only EDIFY the Church has turned into JUST ANOTHER thread in the Bible Discussion Forum.

Being as it is apparent that edification is not acceptable here...............y'all enjoy.......I'm through with this one.

Truly, truly sad when professed believers can not lay aside their theological/denominational ideology long enough to just experience the joy of edification.

Maybe a Mod will venture by and just delete the whole thing.
